I go for a walk and have some Irish guy thinking time.
Listen to music, Watch some movies, and if you're the reading type- pick up some books.
If you're painting/drawing/etc then go and look at some paintings/drawings/etc
If you're writing then go look at some writing
Cock push ups.
When I seem to be lacking in inspiration, I jerk off to disney movies. I always have a great idea in the end.
edit:
FUCK YEAH 7 DWARVES
dude that's fucking awesome EVERYONE LOOK AT THIS
it was WELL WORTH THE MONEY, let me tell you
bought three of them, one for at home and two for portability. i show everyone i can. IT'S JUST THAT GOOD.
The best one is to just take a walk, even if its just around the block doesnt matter, just go out and pay attention to the people.
you should take a notebook with you so you can take notes as the ideas pop in your head.. I find it pretty inspiring this way
Get a load of different music you've never heard before, listen to it and see if that helps.
Look at other peoples work.
You could even look at the clouds and use what you see.
If its a drawing/painting type of thing quickly scribble some blob(s) and start with that for a basic shape.
Drink tea.
Watch artsy movies.
I usually listen to music or take a walk.
Whenever I'm working on a project and can't think, I listen to music, or lie down for a while and let things pop into your head. It helps if you turn off anything that will distract you.
Damn 2010'er stealing my avatar. :argh:
I pace back and forth and think.
I listen to music, often some of Marilyn Manson's more cleverly worded songs :downs:
I play games until I figure something out. Or I read a book I have of random quotes and facts until something gives me a good idea
I write a lot of poetry and when I get writer's block I just zone out for about 10 minutes thinking about who knows fucking what than zone back in with a random good idea.
Do something that will take your mind off your work, and you'll be surprised how quickly ideas will flow.

That inspired me to take a rake to my ear drums.
