Thank you, however, is 5900 dollars enough?
wait if you're in sweden why are you using dollars
stop confusing me
I found some gasoline cars in sweden but I guess you don't want those
Get a V-DUB diesel, Golf, Jetta, etc.. 60+ MPG and some deeecent fucking styling.
If you're enough of a badass, you could save up and get something from here.
Get a motorcycle. (and don't die)
Get an american.
Simple. I'm thinking of purchasing a car. I come to realize that using public transport is just way to expensive and annoying in the long run.
My budget is 5900dollars. I'd prefer if I could get away with a 4900-deal.
Ok, so, I'm the average guy who works everyday and tries to save up money for trips and etc.
I have absolutely no experience in cars, and I know, asking Facepunch is probably not the best place, but I'm not expecting to purchase this car this year. I'll see how things turn out, cars only go cheaper, not more expensive, yeah?
The most important factor for me is that it can drive long on the galon/liter. With oil prices rising, I just can't afford (and don't want to) buy those fuel-guzzling cars.
Second factor is that it's comfortable and not very noisy.
I'm not gonna drive more than 93-100mph, so it doesn't have to be fast. (around 150kmph)
Hope I can atleast a few helpful replies.
Dryer-Lint's Honda Accord, year '88, gets like 29 miles per gallon.
If I were you, buy a jap car. Something like a Hondai or a Kia.
Get a 97 Toyota Avalon Platinum Edition so we can be car buddies

The Platinum Edition makes it sound better than it really is. It just means leather seats
Possibly the best deal you will get in your life, not bad mpg, but it will get you over 9000 girls in 1 year

:D got one myself hottest thing in a 100 mile radius. period
Why hasn't anyone said a cheap 2k chinese car.
I hear they run pretty well and good on the gas too.
They're revolting.
Get a Corsa.
Get a diesel, they get better MPG.
Oil prices aren't going to do shit in relation to petrol/disel prices, half the petrol stations near me still sell petrol at the same price they did when oil was over 100 dollars a barrell.
I know in the UK at least that Petrol prices are pretty much the same as Diesel.

The trunk is almost as large as the rest of the car.

goddammit now thats an excellent car.i wish i could have it.
Anyway, I got a used Fiat Punto (06 model) at about that money and Im extremely satisfied. Try finding stuff like this.
From my experience I'd buy:
-Gasoline: '97 Mitsubishi Carisma, 1.6L, 100 HP. You'll probably get it for a couple thousand dollars maximum, and if you don't floor the gas pedal, it'll use almost no gas, about 7 L / 100 Km. Plus it's a very reliable car, a friend of mine has one with 200.000 km, and the only problem he has had was replacing a spark plug.
-Diesel: Hyundai Getz Copa, 1.5 CRDi, about 110 HP with a consumption of 5 L / 100 Km. It's a really fun car to drive, with nice handling, small (easier to park :D ), and a really good sound system. The only drawbacks it has for me, is the f***ing plastic, which is everywhere, and it's price, which, as a limited edition, was of 15000 €, eventhough my father managed to get the last unit in stock for 10.000 €. Now you probably could get one for 4000 / 5000 €, even less, depending on how much km it has.

No... We use mph.
Diesels have good MPG. I have a diesel Vauxhall Astra and it takes ages between fills

Looks like someone got confused by Hyundai and Honda and failed to realize that kia is a Korean company
