I'll be opening them next week. I'll take some pics then
Ok, thanks.

You've never had an MRE?
Basicly you open it up, and theres a green bag (The heater), a cardboard box (The entree usually) and a clear bag (Goodies, snacks, side dish).
You take the vacuum sealed entree out of the cardboard box, but it in the heater bag, fill the heater bag with a little water, and eat. Usually the side dish can be eaten without heating. The clear bag has the M&Ms/Skittles/Combos and toilet paper, matches, Tabasco sauce, coffee mix, and mints.
Then you dont poop for the next month :buddy:
Edit:
OH FUCK YOU YOU GOT CHICKEN AND NOODLES THATS THE BEST ONE. ITS ACTUALLY TASTES GOOD.
Haha, nope, never had one.
Haha, nope, never had one.
Dont. Eat. The. Cheese.
EVER.
Uhhh, ok.
Nevermind :v:
Chicken Breasts? Do want.
The only MRE I've ever had was the spaghetti. It was some good shit.
back in the UK guys expect pics of Frenchies with guns either tommorow or the day after
I don't think I'm gonna get an M16, as I held something of a similar weight for a couple minutes, and it seemed a bit heavy.

M16s really aren't that heavy. My AUG is heavier than my M16.
This was only 6 ibs and it seemed heavy for holding for a while.

MAN UP FOO.

I knew that was coming. I really did.
But it's not that I can't, it's just that after an hour, it would start to be pretty bad. I can lift a little bit, but I can't keep it up for long.
Then get a sling.

What do you currently use? Because an most assault rifles aren't much lighter than M16s, just FYI.

Bow-chicka-bow-wow
Ahah, but this will be my first AEG, I just had something of similar weight to compare it to.
Mind you, I realized if I get an M4, I don't need a gun for CQB Kawaii.

It does start to get heavy after a while at first but I've had my M16 for about a year and I'm totally used to it now. Now if only I had my AUG at home I could properly compare the two.
Yeah, fear of that is driving me to an M4.
Yeah, fear of that is driving me to an M4.
It probably won't be that much lighter. Even the Echo 1 MP5 I've been using for the last couple times I played airsoft because my M16 was broken and I didn't have my AUG yet wasn't that much lighter than my M16. But it was also full metal, had RIS and the battery was in a PEQ box so that probably added a bit of weight.
Wait, would a sling make it just a little lighter?
Wait, would a sling make it just a little lighter?
a sling wouldnt change the weight it would just distribute it between both your arms and your shoulder (or wherever the slings hanging off) making it a little easier to hold... also good for when you dont want to hold your gun but dont want to put it down
Wait, would a sling make it just a little lighter?
No, a sling would take the guns weight off of your arms when you aren't in combat. They help tremendously.
You shoulders can hold up lots more weight for a lot longer than your arms.
Edit:
Ninjas.
Yeah, I have pretty good shoulders. So I guess I CAN get an M16.
Mind you, my local field is like 90% Field, 10% CQB. Is the CQB so unimportant I can get an M16 and not care?

Its not impossible to run an M16 in CQB, just more difficult.
Soldiers do it with some regularity, as you can imagine.
Ok, Sweet. Again, I love the M16 cause I can get High Caps and a 9.6v and be a Support Soldier, or buy a 4X and be a DMR. Plus the included Tightbore in this model doesn't hurt...
The M16 has sling mounts, right? 2 or 3 point?
I can get High Caps and a 9.6v and be a Support Soldier
Theoretically, I guess you could, but it's not really well accepted to use a non dedicated platform for support.
Especially at MILSIM OPs, (at least here) they won't allow you to play as support infantry, or even use highcaps, unless you're using a dedicated support weapon.
The M16 has sling mounts, right? 2 or 3 point?
I've got a one point on my SRC AK-47, and had a three point on my G&G GR16 CQB-R.
It's really down to preference, I like the three point because of how comfortable it is to be able to put the gun on your back, and how the gun doesn't move around and bang up your knees.
