As a sniper you gotta have money.
No, you need to have patience, control, "stealth", and be willing to put yourself in places where you do not want to be.
Not money. I could take a cheap springer M4, and pick people off, and call myself a sniper, when I only spent $30.
Mainly because I have done that before.
Bar 10 weighs less than my CQB M4 with suppressor and battery, so I'd say sniper rifles are lighter.
If you coordinate properly a sniper can actually be a good reconnaissance person. But beyond that they don't have much use in airsoft unless they put hundreds of dollars into their gun.
Get m16, place medium range scope on it.
Oh and I counter all the "tactilol sniper kiddies" with a fake rubber knife and a pistol.
because if they really were good at "tactilol sniperering" they would know how to take me out and hide their position better.

You tried a Tanaka M700 AICS? I had one and it weighed something like 14 pounds, just a tad lighter than M249. SR25 is pretty heavy too once you add the scope, bipod, and suppressor to hide a PSG1 inner barrel.
Honestly I've been there done that with sniper rifles and DMR's.
Gas sniper rifles are a money pit, and the rifles themselves aren't always light. The mags weigh a lot and cost a lot ($80 for a M700 AICS 25rd mag). Not only that but if you really want performance you'll be upgrading every little part and perhaps even using an external air rig for consistency.
Spring sniper rifles such as the BAR 10 are great, they don't cost much and perform well, or at least some of them do. You can upgrade them too, but that gets pricey. The downside is that it's bolt action, and some people don't necessarily call a single hit from 200 feet out.
Thus I move to DMR's. I traded the Tanaka M700 AICS for a upgraded CA SR25. Best trade I ever made. Being able to shoot semi auto is great for people who won't call it. I would always send about 3 rounds at a person to make sure they're hit. Semi auto helps for those poor fools trying to run away, just keep pulling the trigger. Higher capacity mags are nice too. And when shit hits the fan, you got full auto. No need to run off everytime they spot you.

I totally agree with this. Buying bolt-action sniper rifles is pointless IMO when you can get a semi-automatic rifle at the very least.
The only reason I would see buying a Gas Sniper Rifle is if you are a collector and want a nice somewhat realistic model other then that no reason at all.
One of my friends wanted to play the dedicated sniper role in airsoft, but I convinced him to get a full-length M16 instead.
I actually really want Stupideye's M14 so I can build it up to be a super rad DMR. Plus, the wood on dat is just so goddamn sexy.
I thought of it since I love real life mechanics of the sniper role, but I got the UTG l96 as a gift so I just use it as a fun thing in my background (I do not shoot animals or aim for the neighbors just cans and ocassionaly bottles anything spare that does not harm anyone) CQB is a lot more fun then seeing your bbs drop before it reaches your target, plus the only nearby places to play is CQB city bout an hour away, near where Ender is.

Shoot I'd go with one of the shell ejecting ones if I wanted a collectors rifle. Might as well go all the way.

Bolt action is much more consistient, Much easier to upgrade and doesn't whine like a bastard when you pull the trigger.

If your motor is whining then adjust the motor height.
Bolt action Identity.
I don't see how you can have an electric bolt action.

No, no. I know he said bolt action. I was referring to when he said that the gun doesn't whine when you pull the trigger. I was referring to his AEG reference.

I would too looking at the RWA Videos of the M700, I'm about the same time length away and it is the closest place for me since the Bay Area is all paintball.

No time to go there until i graduate high school because of no car no ride and friends are too lazy to obtain a ride for all of us to go.
Debating whether or not to buy a RAP4 RPG-7 now, or save the money so I can buy stuff for my tank build in the spring...
Tank build, would be nice to know it's based around some type of tank too :D

As of now, probably not. Its not going to just be a box with guns sticking out of it, but its going to be somewhat simple and un-detailed, exterior wise anyway.
Its mainly going for firepower and durability/reliability right now. Ill probably start to go a little crazier with it once I get a solid base design pinned down.
Edit:
I may get some sketches up later.
Wait, how big is the tank build?
Don't suppose anyone here knows where to get a good BDU shirt?
Don't suppose anyone here knows where to get a good BDU shirt?
OPSGear.com probably has some.
OPSGear.com probably has some.
Thank you.
Also BDU.com tends to have a pretty good selection.
I would go for the tank, as manly as a RPG looks on your shoulder, it can never outmanly a tank.
Has Anyone seen the new GBB G36c?

What gun is that?
And focus on the gun first, drool later...
Acr?
[editline]20th October 2010[/editline]
drooling.
Elongated ACR? Not sure.
Wait, what was the model before the ACR? And she's Swedish if that helps.
