Or classic AK7's Daytonagun.
[QUOTE=Timebomb757;22591169] Advice: Work as a filing clerk at an office. Most places have full time openings at $10 an hour. Its boring as hell, but the $500/week paycheck makes up for it :v:[/QUOTE] That, or food service. I'm just now starting as a server, but my brother was one last summer and he made on average $12 an hour.
I did terrible today until the end at the League matches at ModestoCQB. Second to last match i'm in this little building, keeping the left side down, and I take out some dude who thought it would be funny to constantly ricochet me. Last game i'm in the same position and theres only one other person left on my team against a team of five people. I see someone behind some cover real close, maybe 10 meters in front of me that I cant hit, I rush around the back of my cover to what can only be described as a really low "horseshoe" and spray this guy's back. I lean out the left of the horse shoe and hit another guy who noticed me too late, and while i'm moving up to another cover a guy in a tower directly infront of me peeks up. I literally dive forward to the cover as he shoots at me, i make it, and a ref taps me on the shoulder and says "Foos, they got your boot, bud" The last person in on my team is still in our rear cover and is hit from across the field by the same guy in the tower who got me. It was fun though, shoulda brought my gun-cam mount out that game.
[QUOTE=Stupideye;22625107]GHK makes GBBR AK's. They are the only ones on the market right now. They are ok stock but have reliability issues. You can buy a steel upgrade kit that makes all the cheapo parts that break to steel parts that will last. If you have money, its a great gun. Mags are also expensive.[/QUOTE] I am aware of the crazy prices for mags, but thank you for the info I'll see what I can scrape together. [url]http://redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/airsoft/Gas_Pistols_SMGs_GHK_GHK_AKS_74UN.htm[/url] Cheapest I could find, I've heard that GBB AK's are rather shit though, can these compare to something like the GBB PDW's that are floating out there?
Probably going to open my rifle tomorrow and fiddle with the anti-reversal latch. Anyway no good guides or pictures of where and what position it should be in when I close it up and such?
[QUOTE=CodeMonkey3;22627741]Probably going to open my rifle tomorrow and fiddle with the anti-reversal latch. Anyway no good guides or pictures of where and what position it should be in when I close it up and such?[/QUOTE] The anti reversal latch should be in contact and putting pressure against the first gear that connects with the motor. You can see this gear has 2-4 grooves on it for it to lock against the anti reversal latch. Best thing to do to make sure it's in there properly is to push and hold the latch back against the rear of the gearbox, then insert that gear. Slowly release the latch until it makes contact with the gear. Be careful as this latch likes to pop up when it's putting pressure against the gear. That's about it. You'll wish you'd have a third hand though if your anti reversal latch keeps popping up when you're trying to close the gearbox.
I noticed I had trouble closing the gearbox big time, which would explain why my gun isn't working, for sure it has to be the latch. So I have to go in and make sure it's positioned properly. Thanks for the tips, I'll try tomorrow. All it takes is patience from what I've read.
I've been working on a modern SAS loadout for some time now. Got the gas mask, pants, gloves, armor, and boots already. Looking for a hooded black BDU top (or similar) and a vest. I'm thinking a black crossdraw would do well actually.
Gas mask pics please.

I don't know how they compare to GBB PDW's though. A good place to ask is [URL="http://www.gasguns.info/forum/index.php?sid=b86bbc804c3ce0fafef9d8664a9e072e"]here[/URL].

give me your raindrop camo ok
[QUOTE=DarkSamus;22639495]give me your raindrop camo ok[/QUOTE] It's my dad's. He got a set complete with pouches a few years ago for the lulz.
If I had any money, I'd buy the MSA 1000 gas mask someone near me is selling. Properly rated, full face mask, and I'd be able to wear my glasses. It's worth $200 and he's selling it for $80 :(
The lenses will withstand bbs, ive tried them.
[QUOTE=FPKawaii;22639665]It's my dad's. He got a set complete with pouches a few years ago for the lulz.[/QUOTE] I will buy it for 40 dollars.
[QUOTE=DarkSamus;22639951]I will buy it for 40 dollars.[/QUOTE] I'll ask him. Ooh, btw. How did the VFC bolt mod work for you?
[QUOTE=FPKawaii;22639995]I'll ask him. Ooh, btw. How did the VFC bolt mod work for you?[/QUOTE] Wellish, my bolt kinda locks up sometimes, but other than that it's nice being able to pull it back more than 1 and a 1/2 inches. [editline]07:15PM[/editline] also what size is that camo, i'm 6 feet 2 inches, so i need a large at least. [editline]08:02PM[/editline] what the fuck is this [url]http://www.facepunch.com/showpost.php?p=22632793&postcount=1283[/url]
[QUOTE=DarkSamus;22640202]what the fuck is this [url]http://www.facepunch.com/showpost.php?p=22632793&postcount=1283[/url][/QUOTE] Your usual FP'er being misinformed about just about everything.

It should be like this inside the gearbox, correct? [img_thumb]http://www.cubeupload.com/files/9dbc00dscn0659.jpg[/img_thumb] [editline]06:13PM[/editline] I also don't understand how the hell this anti-reversal latch spring is supposed to go and what it does. [editline]06:39PM[/editline] Okay, well I got the gun -working- but it'll fire and then at the end there is an odd click like it's resetting something. Working on the motor adjustment I can get it to go away but sometimes it will randomly come back. Beyond that Semi doesn't work. [editline]06:40PM[/editline] Well, Semi works but it doesn't reset the trigger. [editline]06:41PM[/editline] Maybe it's because of my battery. All the connections are hot and so are the wires. [editline]06:43PM[/editline] 100% sure my battery is burnt out.

[editline]06:43PM[/editline] 100% sure my battery is burnt out.[/QUOTE] 1. Yes that's the way it's positioned. 2. The spring with the straight end is pushed against the lower rear of the gearbox. The other end of the spring grabs the back of the anti reversal latch. The whole spring itself sits below the latch. When properly installed, it should be wanting to push against that gear. 3. Latch was probably installed wrong, causing the gears to rotate backwards. This is bad and can sometimes break tappet plates. 4. Not sure about that semi auto issue. Had it happen with my ICS AK, never figured out what was wrong. 5. I really doubt it's the battery. Any gun I've worked on has it's wires and connector get warm just after a few shots. Best way to test it is to remove the motor, but keep the wires attached. Connect the battery and pull the trigger. If it runs, you're battery is fine. Best thing I've found to do when you can't figure out what the hell is going wrong is to take it completely apart (minus the semi auto cut off lever that's screwed down) and reassemble it.
So, from what you've told me I assume my Reversal Latch isn't doing it's job and isn't holding the gear in place/making contact thus the clicking is the gear doing something it really shouldn't be doing. I'm going in. If I'm not back in five minutes.. just wait longer. [editline]10:17PM[/editline] No matter what I do I can't make that spring push the latch against the gear. [editline]10:29PM[/editline] It always pushes it all the way to the back like this; [img_thumb]http://www.cubeupload.com/files/f41e00dscn0660.jpg[/img_thumb] Then it holds it there, so it's a moot point regarding holding the gear in place. The spring is so bent out of shape, I don't know what the hell it's supposed to look like and I can't find a picture. [editline]10:46PM[/editline] Okay, after bending it a few times (I'll need a new spring in the long run) I got it to work, now I assembled it partly. Do I have to put the ENTIRE gun together to test it or?

Then you can test it out. This it why I love Ver.3 and higher gearboxes that come with motor cages, you can test them without having to put them back in the gun.
Okay, finally fixed it. It feeds, it fires BB's, everything is working now. Semi still doesn't work, the trigger doesn't reset (Doesn't go back forward after I fire) so I'll figure that out tomorrow.
Well, I'll be back in Florida tomorrow. And I'll be moved in my new place in Tampa by Thursday. Anyone know any good airsoft places in Tampa, FL? So far my searches have turned up nothing.

I've made trips like that before, but I'm looking for something local as well. Maybe when I get on the ground there I can explore and see what's there.
Ebaybanned sent me an email saying they are looking for people to review their products and I sent them an email back linking my airsoft YouTube channel. From what I can tell by their garbled English, they like it and they are going to get back to me! Yay for free crappy China stuff!
