You guys are lucky, we can't do ANY pyro in California or the entire west coast catches on fire.
Count me out playing with them. I don't want something that could possibly land right behind my ass and fill it with shrapnel, even if it's bits of exploded bbs. Worse, by some insanely random chance, it lands on the guys gear and gets stuck, that's going to be a bad day for him.
My thoughts exactly. I dont want anything more powerful than a pea grenade being thrown at me, let alone launched.
And judging by the smoke made by the explosion, these are a hell of a lot bigger than pea grenades explosive wise.

You make it sound like these things are built like real grenades. They are made of a stuffed toilet paper roll. Some idiot threw a grenade directly at a kid and it blew up right on his stomach. All he got were very minor burns (less then touching a hot element) and ringing ears. The idiot that threw it was kicked out for a few games and was yelled at.

Like I said, toilet paper roll, they're pretty small.
Master Hobbies were supposed to call me about my Tavor today when they heard back from Palco but considering it's the day after the Fourth I'm not terribly concerned that they didn't.
Possibly tomorrow, if it gets late and they still haven't called I'll call.
I don't really see what the problem is with using them. If I got hit by one, so be it. I have eye protection and a multi-wrap, not to mention my ACU's and gear could hold up to a toilet paper roll. If you heard that thing go off, you'd probably take cover. I see more danger in the fireworks posted above than explosive toilet paper rolls. We all push for realism in airsoft, so this will probably be as far as it goes. I say try it out at a game after the testing is finished. Have people share their thoughts and opinions on it and then go from there.
Just my two cents.

Please don't do this.
I'm not going too. But the only thing different on that is a grenade launcher and a night vision scope. All these are practical tools.

What night vision scope? :colbert:
The scope behind the MARS sight. That's a night vision device. If you ever look at the top of a basic TAR 21 it has some weird groves and such, those are for mounting NV devices. I think you may be able to mount other things but I've only ever seen NV's.

As seen above. Also, if you freak out about the above it's a decent and practical format for a civilian law-enforcement Tavor if you were to use it for say, storming a building.
That actually looks pretty cool ^

There still was no night vision scope on it. That is the rear iron sight.
[editline]12:34AM[/editline]
In the one Identity posted.
It's an adjustable compact NV device. I've seen it before, I'm going to have a hell of a time finding it again but I'll go looking.
Well, I sure aint seen a night vision scope like that before.
It does look like some sort of unique M16 style rear sight, but it's not.
There is also a chance we're both wrong and it's a form of magnifier for the MARS.
The only reason I believe it to be a NV device is because I've seen something -kind- of like that, the same size and shape and that it's mounted on dedicated NV mounts, rather then a rail.
I posted that pic of the Tavor because the M203 looks horrible on it.
And it you want a NVG scope, check out replica PVS-14 scopes. Real ones go for about $3,000 to $5,000.

Geez you guys are slow. It's a sight for the grenade launcher. Notice the leaf sight folded down in front of the MARS sight, then look at that rear sight. It has an arced cut in it to adjust for different ranges. It's neither a magnifier or NV, since there is no optic directly lined up with the MARS sight.
How am I slow? I was talking about something completely different.
Not you, everyone else trying to figure out what that rear sight was.
Not you, everyone else trying to figure out what that rear sight was.
It was funny though!
Well, hopefully CodeMonkey gets his Tavor. My next gun purchase is going to be a KART M14 EBR. I won't be getting it anytime soon, seeing how I just purchased a new gun not too long ago.
Well, I saw the M203 sight infront of the MARS sight and since the rear M203 sight (Which I didn't know existed) was in the rear mounted on the NV mount I just assumed it was a NV or a magnifier.
Ya'know, im just going to ask, why does EVERYONE seem to throw away the BB's that come with the guns in the box? are they really low quality, or is it just airsofter superstition?
I never threw away the .20's that came with my CO2 pistol. If they were point .12's I would have.
But yeah, some are low quality (i.e. seamed BB's), so they go to the trash.
The ones that came with my gun had no seams and seemed high quality so I just put them through the gun for shits and giggles.

These are what I use. .20's not .25's. A bit expensive, but worth it. Less wear on the gun.
Ironically made by Palco Sports.
I just use Echo 1's .25 gram BBs. Too lazy to try all the other brands and I'm too cheap too.
Well the Firepower ones I listed are sold at my local store. So I pick them up because those are the kinds they sell.
Funny thing is, that the store I visited has been the only one that I've ever seen sell Green Gas. Before, I would make trips to Melbourne, FL and go to a store located in a flea market. There was high and low quality stuff, but I never found launchers or green gas. So I'm kinda happy about that.
I only ever use KSC bbs after reading a review of a bunch of bbs. They got rated highest of all of them tested (tested for consistency in weight, diameter, fps, et cetera.)

Other than a few that aren't really available in the US
brb making Israeli loadout.

Oh god, that made me laugh hard.
On the subject of BBs, I use TSD .23s. After I use all the BBs in this bag I might try BB Bastard .25s though.

Or you could go balls to the wall and use .28's.
