they are talking about making a cornershot
Cooler than the airsoft FMG
Someone over on Arnies already made a CornerShot. He used it in CQB until people starting bitching it was "cheating".
It's not really cheating though. Technically they could kill him. They haven't heard of "Support by Fire"?
I'd use it in CQB regardless of what people said. They want MilSim, and this is a military weapon. So tough shit for them.
And my VooDoo Tactical gloves came in today. They're comfy. Perfect fit too.
Codemonkey here. I was banned for replying to a thread without a OP, not long after I posted and went to sleep and the OP came back, it turns out that thread was a spam thread so I along with all the other unknowing posters were banned and the mods have ignored my thread on it. I'm banned until the 10th.
Anyway, fun note I just discovered; My ACU MOLLE webbing tends to have this odd texture/glow/shine on flash picture and some video. At first I assumed this was a mistake or had something to do with trademarks on the replica Molle vests. I watched a video on the Canadian PALS stuff and they have that same problem as well. Anyone have any comment on this?

It's called NIR.
Near Infrared (NIR) Signature Management Technology is used by the U.S. Department of Defense to prevent detection by NIR Image Converters. These photocathode devices do not detect temperatures, but rather infrared radiation variances. NIR-compliant uniforms use a special fabric that allows soldiers to appear at the same radiation level as the surrounding terrain, thus making them more difficult to detect. NIR technology also make uniforms less visible in low-light environments by reducing the reflection of light.
Explain please. I'm fascinated.

Thanks, I never knew why my vest sparkled.

Mine has the NIR. When I look at it under my NVG's, all you can see is the MOLLE webbing. The ACU pattern doesn't exist under infared.
Komrads, I found a beautiful guide on weathering.

I'm considering putting one of these in my gearbox rather then just replacing the anti-reversal latch and cut off lever.

NVG proof cloth or weathered guns? Neither of them will work very good.

Media tags don't work. Here.
What's that, basically a prebuilt mosfet? I didn't realize it did that, and now I want one.
Of all the weapons in the vast soviet arsenal, nothing was more profitable than Avtomat Kalashnikova model of 1947. More commonly known as the AK-47, or Kalashnikov. It's the world's most popular assault rifle. A weapon all fighters love. An elegantly simple 9 pound amalgamation of forged steel and plywood. It doesn't break, jam, or overheat. It'll shoot whether it's covered in mud or filled with sand. It's so easy, even a child can use it; and they do. The Soviets put the gun on a coin. Mozambique put it on their flag. Since the end of the Cold War, the Kalashnikov has become the Russian people's greatest export. After that comes vodka, caviar, and suicidal novelists. One thing is for sure, no one was lining up to buy their cars.
And DarkSamus takes the win!
Okay, Pro-Tip from Codemonkey here.
Let's say you want to buy a Replica EO-Tech or ACOG, right? So your first instinct would be to go to any large retailer and buy one. They're not great, they don't suck too bad though so for airsoft, why not save yourself some cash? (If you think this way)
So you go to say.. Weapon Blender;
http://weaponblender.com/index.php?productID=1013&picture_id=2233
So there you go, takes AAA's and they cost a dollar extra ontop of $51 and heaven forbid-shipping. So in the end for this one item it's around $70~
Now, you can get the exact same item from DealExtreme for;
http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.32460
$37, it even includes the batteries. Now, you're saying "But wait, Code. How do you know they're the same and what about shipping?"
First of all, both are identical, even the smallest details. In this case both models have printed on the side, "For Law Enforcement/Miltary Use" with the spelling mistake still printed on both of them. This is either to avoid trademarks or merely because they're stupid.
So, next-shipping. Deals Extreme is based out of Hong-Kong and as such things like taxes, tariffss fees etc do not exist or are very cheap. So they pass the savings onto you. Shipping is absolutely free. (I've ordered from this site before, they're legit and it is free, granted shipping is slow)
But wait! What about the ACOG you mentioned? Got you covered;
http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.32481
Same deal, same price, same savings. You're saving anywhere from $20-$40 by ordering from Deals Extreme. Feel free to browse, they have plenty of other accessories and other items you may be interested for airsoft and other things.
Oh shit, it's free worldwide shipping too!
Nice find Codemonkey :v:
So I went to a airsoft store today in taiwan, and I saw the Ares TAR (I'm not to sure) new sitting on the wall along with a bunch of other TMs and I found out that KM4 RIS over there seems like its about $100 cheaper then ASGI, expected a little since it is made in taiwan.
Does anyone know if i can bring one or two airsoft guns through customs, and onto the plane, not hand baggage.
you from the UK? because you wont get any airsoft guns through UK customs without UKARA registering first and im afraid youve got to be 18 to do that and a memeber of a skirmish site :( sorry man there are good deals but its too much hassle to be worth it
I don't think you would be able to get them through onto the plane. You could try but the security might go apeshit on you.
Just like shipping a real gun: You announce to them you have a firearm before getting anywhere near security, and have it shipped in I guess one of their own locked containers.
I don't know how it works, but if you can ship real guns you can ship airsoft guns.

Well there you go. I didn't know that.

Epic, thanks.
You can bring a weapon on a plane, as long as you let the airline and security know you'll have it.
It has to be declared unloaded, with the magazine removed, and it needs to be locked in a secure case.
Oh yeah, as for the Eotech sights, I like dealextreme and all, but the shipping is kinda iffy for me. Weapon Blender has a flat rate of $4.75 for shipping, and that would take four days to get to my house, as opposed to three weeks.
Mine has the NIR. When I look at it under my NVG's, all you can see is the MOLLE webbing. The ACU pattern doesn't exist under infared.
It definetly exists under anything besides gen 1. It sticks out almost as bad as it does in the day on my buddies gen 3 and I can see it with my IR scope on on my gen 2.
Edit:
MARPAT is pretty damn hard to pick out though.

Are you sure about it because my brother really wants a TM or A VFC EBB/GBB gun from Taiwan, thanks for the help guys.
