AWESOME CAMO.
That looks awesome.
So I have this old spring AK that I practice painting camo on. I call it 'The Abomination'. Click for large version Now, I painted it a green/forest camo body, then a snowish grey color handguard and a fall/rust colored barrel. I liked the handguard the most, and painted the rest of it as well. IMAGES Some of you might remember my other snow camo I did on an AK. I think this is a much better version.
Hawt.
That green actually looks like it would be rather effective. Post an outdoor picture with some better lighting.
AHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHHAHAHAHAHHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA. Echo 1 is a clone.
Oh. I thought it was one of the few things E1 churned out on its own. I'd never seen anything like their ASR before... [editline]jwa[/editline] I thought of Jurassic Park when I saw that green :buddy:
That green actually looks like it would be rather effective. I need to get another old gun so I can compare/keep several patterns.
Yeah that looks pretty slick. Looks like it would be really effective too.
I think we are doing that but with a M60 instead. We already have one of those setups actually, pretty fun.
Screw that, get a Mk. 19 on it. (Does anybody make an airsoft Mk. 19?)
Screw that, get a Mk. 19 on it. (Does anybody make an airsoft Mk. 19?)
Nope, no one makes them. I was talking with marine friend of mine and he said they're not allowed to use the Mk.19, M2 .50cal, and MGL on people anymore, since it's considered "inhumane". Shit I rather be taken out instantly by a grenade than bleed out from a bullet. And since when were weapons humane in the first place? Politicians at work for you, screwing our soldiers over one rule at a time.

I bet the enemy doesn't give a flying fuck over what's "inhumane".
So... I just won some money. With it I bought a second hand Glock 18C with 4 mags. That gives me 9 standard glock mags (1 barely working) and 1 50 round mag. So what do you do with a Glock 18 and more money to spend - here's the plan - Magpul PTS FPG kit w/ Eotech, M6x on an angle mount, MS2 sling and Madbull 6.03 barrel. 3 more 50rd mags. 3 Blade-Tech Quad pistol mag pouches Blade-Tech Glock 17/M3 holster. I think I just got my CQB kit sorted.
Nice! Do it and post pics. Sounds awesome.
I envy you!

Ill ask my friend though, he finished boot about 3 months ago

I wonder how many actually conform to such rules. If they're going to die, it's one quick way or another quick way. Bad guy pops out, you've got a big gun in your hands, you're not going to say, "hmm...politicians say I can't shoot him with this here Mk19, I guess I'll just have to let him shoot me." Stupid rule by stupid politicians who know jack shit about what they're making rules for. To reiterate the last three posts :)
One of the Gaurdsmen I train with was a HMMWV gunner, he said they tended not to fire the Mk19 directly at people, more for firing into windows and and at other high-priority targets. They had their mechanic weld a second gun mount on the HMMWV so it could mount an M249 AND the MK19 at the same time. And you have to figure that it would be impractical to use the MK19 for direct fire anyway, if Mr. Haji pops up 40 feet away, you cant fire at him anyway for risk of injuring yourself with shrapnel, or risk the grenade simply not detonating.

Also, should I make duct tape Magpul's for my high caps? It is kind of difficult to grab my mags right now but I'm kind of concerned about not being able to wind the wheel. Or should I buy the plastic ones? (I hate high caps, just don't have the money for a lot of mid caps.)
AHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHHAHAHAHAHHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA. Echo 1 is a clone.
To be fair, they do change some of the stuff they rebrand. [sp]even if it's only slightly[/sp]
Also, should I make duct tape Magpul's for my high caps?
Works really well actually. I did it for my M4 mags long ago since they fit so tightly into their pouches.
Works really well actually. I did it for my M4 mags long ago since they fit so tightly into their pouches.
Should I reinforce them with cardstock or were they fine by themselves?

If you got any cheap slings, I would recommend using cut up parts of those for the part you grab on the Magpul.
If you got any cheap slings, I would recommend using cut up parts of those for the part you grab on the Magpul.
Oohh good idea, I have old belts and stuff I can use that are just the right size. (Old belts being since I was 8. My mom NEVER throws anything away.)
you can just by webbing(seatbelt) from a sports store (I got like 2" webbing from sports chalet)
Alright so I made it and it looked nice and perfect and with the exact dimensions of the magazine and it worked nice. The only issue I had was that it made it harder to pull out the magazine that is waaaay on the right (almost on my side). I'm not sure how or why but it did and I decided to just trash it.

No built in sling mounts, so you'll have to set one up yourself. Not sure it will close in some cases. 2. Standard mags will not lock in the grip unless the supplied Magpul plate is attached to the bottom of the mag. The plate is thinner than the standard one. The easiest way around this: Remove the plate completely. 3. The FPG can only fold with the 50rd hicap if you have the Magpul plate installed. The original is a bit too long and won't fit. 4. Some filing to your slide may be necessary for it to cycle smoothly. I couldn't even pull my slide back initially until I filed my slide down, and I still need to do more.
It bothers me that they decided to use a discontinued gun for the conversion kit. I probably would have bought one otherwise.
It bothers me that the gun was discontinued in the first place. I was hoping to buy another.
I found someone with more grenade launchers than timebomb. I am no officially jealous.
