Oh god
I did that to my BAR-10 once (chopped off stock and barrel), because it was shit (something broken inside) and I didn't know about the wealth of upgrade parts.
Can anyone link that video of the guy apparently finding a mixture of the M4 and AK and absolutely butchering it with tube stocks and shit? I need a laugh.
In a game yesterday managed to stub my toe so hard that the nail rammed into my skin and bled all over my sock.
Despite that, good game.
the nail bled?
what?!
Timebomb, do you play 360?
So I've heard from many a place that FPS =/= Range/Better gun and I believe that, however I've recently started to consider I wonder- how do you get better range on a lower FPS gun? Wouldn't you need more force to propel the BB further?

Get a really good hop up and maybe a tightbore.
Another question. The spring that holds my charging handle on my CA M15 keeps getting fucked up by the Hop-Up so I need to replace it. Rather then spending $13 on a new spring, I want to know if there are any household items I could buy or find to hold it? (Charging handle has no function)
Ender suggested a rubber band, and that would be perfect if I could find any small enough (Which I can't)

No, my toe did.
Smelt like shit.

Go to a dollar store and you can buy a pack of rubber bands for cheap. It's worth the trip.

I really should make a new one.
That's awesome. I might make one once I find all my tools.

Also, new G.I. Coupon: "Hot". Takes off 15% from your order.
Can you reuse it?
Also I know that 'Tim' takes 10% off an order but I don't know if it's reusable.
Also there is one called 'Jason' I think, don't know what it does or if it's reusable either.
There was also another, GI-TV one but I forgot it.
All GI coupons are re-usable. I've used 'Tim' twice so far.

I've used a newspaper rubber band, so size isn't an issue. You jut need to place the rubber band around the hole for the screw, place a small washer over it, then screw down the screw.
The Magpul Masada is looking awfully tempting now. I was hoping to get a new ARES G36 full size from AEX, but when I went to chrono it the staff member whispered to me not to buy it. He said they ran a 300 round test and both the piston and gears had stripped in that short amount of time. Fuck, I mean externally it's a great gun, but if the internals die that fast then forget it.
But this also makes me question the reliability of the Masada. People have said ARES made it, simply by looking at the electronic trigger thing and quick spring swap functions, a function both the ARES G36 and Masada have. Grant it, the Masada doesn't have a blowback function, but I still question the internal quality if it's indeed made by ARES.
Oh and by the way, got to see what I'm 95% sure was the G&G F2000 at AEX. That's a damn sexy looking rifle, not of that cheap glossy plastic crap on this gun. Didn't get to hold it or get a good look at it, as a staff member was just chronoing it, most likely for stats or other tests before it's released, perhaps even a review maybe.
I've been using rubber bands, but they're too long and not nearly tight enough to actually hold the charging handle, it just fulls out and hangs there by the band. I did the washer thing to keep it down, it just has too much slack and not enough tension to secure it properly.
[editline]02:06AM[/editline]
Also, I always thought ARES had decent internal quality? Other then some leaky air-nozzles.
Did you try twisting and doubling over the rubber band? Shortens the length and creates more tension.
Quickfix, use shorter rubberbands.
So now, those MAG midcaps that were advertised for 130 rnds per mag just broke completely. They used to hold 65, only worked with 45, now they don't work at all. Sent this to RMA@airsoftgi.com or whatever it is. Kinda pissed, because I'd been looking forward to using my midcaps, just to find that none of them work.
I ordered the MAG M16 (8 Pack) 100rds Mid Capacity Magazine.
I've had numerous problems with these magazines. Just as a sidenote, the box they came in said "MAG 130 round magazines" so I don't know what happened there. But that's beside the point, as the actual amount of BBs they can hold is 65 on average, I counted. This I could live with, but the problems didn't stop there. My gun would only shoot the first BB if I loaded all 65 BBs into the magazine. I would have to remove it, put it back in, shoot another, remove it, etc until the BB count in the magazine came down to around 45.
This also, I might have been able to live with. So come today, I go to test them to make sure they worked at 45 BBs, as they did when I received them, before I went to the field (Oh and I can't even begin to tell how annoying it is removing just 20 BBs). They didn't work at all. Not with 65 BBs in them, not with 50, not with 40, not even with 20. I hadn't left any BBs at all inside them over those couple weeks in between receiving the magazines and just about on my way to go to the field. The magazines had broke themselves, and I had only put around 40 rounds through a few of them, not even all of them.
Now my friend has the same brand, same model magazines, just in tan and they each fit 85 BBs, and feed all the BBs flawlessly. If possible I'd like if I could ship these back and try another batch of the same product.
I think it's been 14 days since I received them. I hate to do this, but the magazines broke themselves just sitting in their box.
tl;dr, I test drived the mags when I get them. Only held 65, only worked with 45. 2 weeks later I try them again to make sure they work, they don't work at all. Didn't leave BBs in them, didn't throw them around or use them as a club. They just broke themselves sitting there in the box they came in.

Seems like a legitimate reason for them to send you out a replacement set. I don't see why they wouldn't.

That's what I believe to be the solution as well, but I can't find 'small' rubber bands.

Not to my knowledge, but I'd imagine ACU might actually work ok in the snow.
