Are you positive that it wasn't the TSI Armories TAR 21?

Then pick different alternatives! Why does the Tavor matter so much?

Uh yeah because I sort of bought it.
It's the Ares one, I can tell you stuff about it if you want.
Then pick different alternatives! Why does the Tavor matter so much?
Because, nothing else I want is out there. The day I saw the Tavor I wanted one. The only alternatives I have are LR-300, a M249 and a Tanaka. None of those with the exception of option one are practical for me, and the LR-300 just doesn't appeal to me nearly as much as the TAR 21.

Please do.
Well firstly the weight is focused heavily in the stock as you would expect, and it does weigh a truckload. However, everything is so easily adjusted, the hop changed by simply pulling the bolt back, twiddling a dial till you get the exact movement you want, spring is the quick release job of a push-and-screw style system, making springs almost adjustable on the fly. The mars sight isn't awfully interesting, laser is fun as with most of them and after some solid tweaking it'll work well. Works off stanags as expected, one that came with broke on the day, but probably was just a dodgy one. Nice noise from shooting, good gun. Though not exactly "compact". Certainly a nice change from "lol armalite!!!"
I guess their online division is closed Saturday which is stupid because it doesn't mention so anywhere and the message makes no indication they are.
I managed to get absolutely laced with a moscart, stung a bit.

Worst pain I've encountered from airsoft was getting shot in the mouth a propane pistol.
The kid was only going for fucking headshots. I'm lucky that my CO's were there, because I might've clubbed him with my SR-25.
I shot someone in the tongue in CQB once :frown:
We laughed about it later.
also holy shit post 1898 this thread is going to be over soon. Last post remakes the thread.

Actually I think the new thread lock is at 110. If you look at the Gift Giving thread in Fast Threads, they're past 100.
Interesting.
Could just be for fast threads.
1. I'll call AEX again on Monday, Moondog's offer still stands and I'll see what my Dad does, if he gets another buyer before I get the money is I told him it's fine if he sells it.
2. I'm considering a new GBB eventually, I'm torn between these few:
M9 Pistol HUUURRR Call of Duddy 2 modern gay fuck stupid!! KWA, fits the US Infantry loadout.

Tokyo Marui Five-Seven. I want black but OD will suffice. It's a sexy gun, albeit alittle big.

Finally the KWA KZ75. Sleek and functional looking with a nice brand behind it.
[img_thumb]http://www.airsoftgi.com/images/airsoft_KWA_KZ75_A.jpg[/img_thumb]
M9 or Five 7.
The KWA M9 shoots 350-60 FPS. Defeats the point of a pistol. I say go with the CZ-75, even if it's pretty much the complete opposite of your loadout.
I'd choose the Five Seven. Mags are expensive as fuck, but at least you'll know almost no one else will have it.
hi
Yeah, he has one. Only his isn't a TM I don't think.
[editline]10:40PM[/editline]
Also unrelated; Fixed the charging handle on my M15. I wrapped electrical tape around it so it can't fall out, it's jammed in there now basically so it's nice and tight. Can't use it but it never had a purpose as it is.
Fuck the Five-seveN mags are expensive. I'd like to run it more at my field, but I want more mags before I do that. It is incredibly unique though, I think one of the refs at my field said that I was the only person they'd seen use one.
It's slightly more for the mags, granted they're huge mags as well.
I was on point in a small squad when it started to get dark. We were trudging through an area of the land called Vietnam, and for a good reason! We were walking through in order to try and get around the opposing team, figuring we'd catch them off guard. On the way we ran into quite a few interesting events. The first odd thing that happened happened while I was crossing a creek. I jumped across and while I did this I heard a something that sounded like a mix of laughing and hissing or something, my squad all kind of jumped really fast over the creek after that. Our next adventure began with trying to get through a field of tall grass to the ridge were we would rain hell down upon our enemies, this notion was stalled by my thigh deep encounter with quicksand/mud/holy fuck my leg is stuck pull me out guys! At this point it was dark, wet, creepy, and my goggles were fogging up and I couldn't see SHIT! Then as we finally all set up with the enemy in our sights upon that most sacred of firing positions I heard the most terrible sound I could have possibly heard at the moment... the round over horn. :(
I ran out of battery and had to clear a room so I emptied my hicap on my hand and threw the BBs in their faces.
Funny and we won (it was a distance kill either way, but throwing the ammo made it funnier). Hell yeah.
I want to go play at that Georgia OP badly. Probably won't be able to due to fund-age. So I guess I have to wait for an Ocala, Florida OP, where everyone wears Multicam! And I'll be content in my PMC loadout.

This has to be illegal. If I threw bullets at you, you wouldn't die.
What do you guys think of Shotguns as a first weapon?
depends where your playing in my opinion CQB and woodland games are ok for shotguns except they do have limited range so youve got to be either fast or sneaky.
Interesting Fact: UK Special Forces use shotguns in the woodland since its a good way to break up the firefight quickly allowing team-mates to flank around while creating the illusion several people are standing and fighting even though its just one shotguns spread

Hence my mention of distance kill. All I had to do was yell "you're down!" or shoot at their legs with my spring pistol, this was just funnier.
Oh, well, is the CYMA CM035A any good? I'm curious as to how reliable CYMAs are, as I saw an Airsoft forum of people bashing them and saying never get a CYMA or WELL, and they said all Chinese guns suck.
Or this: http://www.airsoftpost.com/product_info.php?products_id=28602
Or:http://www.airsoftpost.com/product_info.php?products_id=32926
i dont really know anything about CYMA stuff because i cant readily get it where i am in the UK but judging by what americans have said on here any CYMA thing with a code greater than CM028 i think? is the good CYMA stuff. and just as a warning apparently evike (the site your looking at) is not too good so most of the people on here use Airsoft GI
Edit:
http://hubpages.com/hub/DBoys-KLS-AKS-74U-Airsoft-review review of the DBoys gun you linked
absolutely no idea about the other gun you linked but i can tell you judging by the price and the way the titles worded id guess its a cheap-soft gun
The AKS74U they make is fantastic. Both me and Ender have/had one and love/loved it.
Don't buy from evike.
I've owned it also, The full steel version is great
