Very much agree.
I'm not sure if you can remember about a year ago I painted my AUG?
Well it still looks pretty decent, it's starting to wear down on the grip and where I put my cheek, but apart from that it's the same as it was a year ago.
My dad ordered a chest rig and a ak mag from some american company 3 months ago. It just arrived today.
I think I'm going to work on an airsoft IED. Fill it with BB's and the powder from bottle rockets. I'm going to see if I can procure a dummy artillery shell.
Whoever makes an Airsoft M2 Carl Gustav, I will make a very rich man.

That sounds like a terrible idea, and is probably illegal. Just FYI. I know many police officers that would look at that as a pipe bomb.
Real explosives should never be used in airsoft in anything more that a firecracker sized quantity.
Just use some door alarms and attach them to the thing, they screech really loudly to let people know you set it off. I use this one for training with the Gaurd:

I'd just use it for testing purposes. If I could find the schematics for an IED like yours I'll probably work on it.

Say that to the 2 guys that have their pyrotechnic licences that I play with. They use gunpowder and all sorts of fun stuff.

As someone who has fucked with explosives for a loooong time (and hurt myself a few times in the process) I know what I want and don't want being thrown/launched/going off near me. Just because you have a pyro license doesn't mean there isn't a chance of someone getting hurt by your concoctions.
Pyro is fine for display purposes as long as it isnt near the players (Hell, we use cremora bombs here with some frequency), but when anything bigger than a firecracker is going off near someone, you can cause all sorts of fun damage to them. Some people here use 12ga blank firing grenades here. Those are a half inch of solid metal and relatively safe, and the guys who use them are trustworthy. But eve one of those (Just noise really) going off next to me would leave me/anyone with sensitive hearing in a bit of pain. Things with uncontained explosions (Like most homemade things) can cause physical damage in addition to hearing.
Think about something bigger than a fircracker getting stuck in your gear and going off. It would not be a fun day for you.
My the power of my IED would be relatively small. It would be like a Tornado grenade going off.

Yeah I agree, safety is a priority. There are only a few who are allowed to use the big toys like the mortar but anyone can use the grenades. We have had a grenade blow up right on someones stomach and received minor burns and ringing ears as a result.

The thing about IEDs is that they don't have schematics.

The US Army improvised munitions handbook begs to disagree good sir.

I have an old Army issued Boobytrap handbook from the 'Nam era. It's somewhere around here.
Trading away my 4 year old TM FAMAS for a STAR SCAR. I'm going to miss my FAMAS, most reliable gun ever.
Sounds like an upgrade to me. From French to Belgian.
Sounds like an upgrade to me. From French to Belgian.
Wouldn't the French gun be more durable since it has to deal with being dropped by fleeing soldiers?
Yes but it doesn't come equipped with the essential white flag. Bad marks there.

Or a croissant/baguette. Pretty sure those are mandatory for the operation of french weaponry.
Didn't you see the latest french over shoulder artillery? It launches a 100ft long white flag
Don't diss the French, I'm French :saddowns:
I was going to keep it a secret so I could make Identity shit his pants when he saw it but;
I decided since I have a current US Army loadout in ACU and that the Army is phasing out to Multicam that my loadout will soon be kind of dull. I decided to track down a few items to make my loadout a bit special.
Thus I've elected to enlist in the Allied States of America.
I'm getting a quote for a 3' by 5' full color Allied States of America Flag and I'm going to order Allied States of America patches in both full color and subdued along with a ACU 'A.S. Army' patch, although this is purely my touch as I've noticed Major Beck still wears his "US Army" so I need to back and check if anyone else used A.S. because I could have sworn.. Other then that the patches I'm having made are probably going to end up being iron-on which should be fine I'll just iron them onto velcro and cut them out so I can use them.
Shit will be so cash. I'm finally go to a convention and feel badass.

I'm talking about Jericho if any of you have no idea what I'm referring too.

I had an Allied States bumper sticker on one of my old cars.
I've found the flags like that on Ebay, just never got the will to actually make an A.S. Army loadout.
And yes, Beck does wear an A.S. Army name tape in one of the first episodes. Can't remember the exact one though.

Tons of places sell them, you shouldn't bother with having them made, so few will cost you a ton.

Oh, no, I'm buying the patches. (Is patches n pins legit?) but when I said having a flag made, I mean I'm having a 3' 5' flag made to hang on a pole with a rope and toggle so I can hang it on my wall.
Not really an airsoft thing but I might as well go all out.

Thank you, this made my day much easier. Now I just have to find out what Jericho is. I don't watch tv.
It's one of the best shows in the last ten years. Jericho is an American action/drama series that centers on the residents of the fictional town of Jericho, Kansas in the aftermath of nuclear attacks on 23 major cities in the contiguous United States.
Finally finished my goddamn battery sling. From the way it feels now it will work very well. I've already done some stress testing and it held up well. Now I just need a rail mounted swivel sling mount so that the sling doesn't get in the way. Going to get pictures.

Simply put, it was one of the best shows on TV. It had actual quality and content to it.
Makes me happy they're finishing it with a movie.
