Video of pen gun shooting?
What have you done....
Which one? The fucked up sl8 thing? I thought it was pretty nice. My first AEG by the way too. The hand guard was filled with a lead brick so I decided to remove that and replace it with the cheek rest and tape it to make it look kind of nice. [editline]07:00PM[/editline]
Video of pen gun shooting?
Don't have a video camera.
Don't have a video camera.
Borrow.
Borrow.
Guess I could try, it might take a week or so though. because I have to get a friend to let me borrow one. Idea: Get about 5-9 copper tubes close to 6mm and somehow form a shotgun out of them that uses one of those small co2 carterages for powering every bb out, load 3 bb's into each barrel like a musket and then make it look really steam punk, maybe have extra c02 vent out the gun for extra effect in areas that make it look cool? Impractical, but it would look pretty cool.
FFFFFF, how many do they still have in stock?
No idea. But I knew a Dark Earth Five seveN had to exist somewhere!
Hey, I'm just starting airsoft as well as joining a friend of mines team for the summer. I'm shopping for a decent rifle under $200 that can perform decently in field and decently in CQB. Also needs to be able to take a decent beating (used to woodsball and throwing my Tippman about lol.) I'm not really asking you guys to look FOR me but really just for recommendations or at least a few brands to avoid or a few brands to look at. Thanks :)
Hah, a little misplacement from G.I.
Description: TSD MK96 with Scope Airsoft Gun ( Tan ) Product does not come with Scope.
http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=6699
I'm trying to decide between This AK http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=139_24_211&products_id=3026 and this SIG http://www.airsoftextreme.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=364_603&products_id=4377

They make decent stuff well worth the amount you pay. Also there's a Newbies thread just down the page. I'd rather you wait for the others to give their opinions first.
Hah, a little misplacement from G.I. http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=6699
But... does it have a scope or not? :supaburn:
But... does it have a scope or not? :supaburn:
It says it does. G.I. then claims it doesn't. Mindfuck.
It says it does. G.I. then claims it doesn't. Mindfuck.
I shat brix.
Thanks then, I'll go with the AK :)
Dboys make greats AKs, go for it.
Dboys make greats AKs, go for it.
Indeed they do, but this is going to be used for CQB as well as field, right? A new spring in the gearbox is going to be in order.
Indeed they do, but this is going to be used for CQB as well as field, right? A new spring in the gearbox is going to be in order.
Oh right, but springs are fairly cheap. Would need this spring for CQB: Click.
http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=2881 I come to save the bacon. That's the best AK you are going to get for cqb and field that is cheap. I personaly would buy: http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=4342 And get the chrono, then buy a new spring accordingly. I would get a full stock for function because the hand guard batterys are hell. If you want the open stock for whatever reason, go for it.
But D-Boys AKs are generally good? I was looking at that folding stock one earlier, but didn't know much about D-Boys.
D-boys AK's are great.

What's so bad about handguard batteries? Also I'm mainly going to be doing field I just want the CQB option to be there as well.

But you don't have to worry about that with this gun. It uses a stick battery under the dust cover (and it can fit an 8.4v or 9.6v (I don't know about any higher)). Sad part is that if you have any normal/mini rectangular batteries, you can't use them in this gun. I suggest buying an extra 8.4v or 9.6v battery for it. I think I'm going to buy it as well, once I have the money. I've wanted a folding stock AK 74u for SO LONG.

Like how long do they last? and when you're doing a day long scenario type thing (There is a 2 day one here complete with camping at night lol) do you just switch em out? Should I bring extra out on the field?
Pack and extra one and change them out at night or when yours dies. ALWAYS carry a third battery if you can just incase that day per battery goes bad. I suggest packing a side arm or a team make with you at all times for safety while changing.

Switching the batteries looks REALLY easy in that gun, you just take off the dust cover and replace them right there. No screwdrivers needed. Sorry, I've never used stick batteries (or even mini batteries) at wars. I think they're comparable to mini batteries, so they last about that long, or bit less. I usually carry 2 or so batteries + something that I could use instead, like a spring shotgun. If you're going to a 2 day thing, You'd probably only need 2 (3 for me, cause I'm paranoid. Last OP, I brought three, used one :D ). I usually only go through one battery during a day-long OP. Sometimes two. (Keep in mind, this is with large types, and they last longer.)
How long does a decent battery actually last?
That depends on how much you shoot, how much the gun draws, the MAH of the battery. and other things.
Just got some combat boots! :woop: Been using hiking boots until now.
Just got some combat boots! :woop: Been using hiking boots until now.
What brand? I need a pair myself, I've only been using a pair of Converses since I'm running CQB-only right now.
