$275 is absolutely ridiculous unless it's got tons of upgrades and extra magazines. I bought my KWA G18 for $140 with one mag.
Some of the guy's from my site have just come back from one of Stirling Airsofts themed games and I've just read there "after game report" and by god I was an awesome read :v:
[editline]02:12AM[/editline] Oh god, this made me lol hard. http://tampa.craigslist.org/hil/wan/1886370723.html
Why are people so dumb?
Because they know absolutely nothing about airsoft.
Probably some 12 year old who just got his allowance money.
Probably. Also, just saw your new avatar- excellent choice, very excellent.
ASGI restocked on Intellect Batteries to whom is may concern. [editline]03:10PM[/editline] CoughkmanCough

Starting off my airsoft resurrection, still looking for masks to suit me atm so bought a full face mask with some tiny fan in it for anti-fog. Next up, proper clothing!

[editline]03:10PM[/editline] CoughkmanCough
Thanks, ahaha, but the G&G I'm buying comes with a 8.4 V 1700 MaH and 300 MaH charger. I've heard pretty good thing about both of them. And a trickle charger is a smart charger, right?
Hell no. Trickle Charger is a black box you plug into the wall and you have to wait literally seven hours to charge and you still end up blowing and overheating your battery. Buy an actual smart charger. You're less likely to fuck your battery and it charges faster. Although if we want to get technical all chargers are Trickle Chargers, some are better then others.
Ah, ok. I didn't know the difference.
I use a trickle charger. Works perfectly fine for me.
I just hate waiting eight hours. I also ruined two batteries because I forgot about them. Smart Charger is so much easier.
Mine takes 3-4 hours for a full charge. And I even forgot about unplugging my battery for 12 hours and it actually improved the battery life somehow. Then again, I was still breaking it in since it was a new battery and I hadn't used it that much.
Anybody know how likely it is for UK customs to seize a disassembled gun shipped from Red Wolf Airsoft? Buying in the UK seems way more expensive. Anybody in the UK bought from RWA?
How many mags do you guys usually carry ?
Two hi-caps and eight low-caps. Because I hate spending money, so I bought 10 low-caps and then I periodically buy hi-caps. IE: 1 in the last three years.
Would a high cap, three mid caps and two low caps be enough? Or should I buy 10 low caps?
I carry two high caps. Once I get an actual proper loadout going I'll probably end up switching to mid caps and carry 8-10 of them.
I, personally, hate high-caps. It makes it sound like I'm running around with a pocket of Lego pieces or something.
Eugh I hate hi-caps as well. I go with a single 100 round mid cap.
Mid-Caps are king. They're have a high enough capacity to be used in Skirmish but are quite and have low enough capacity to be used in most Milsim games. Unfortunately they're quite expensive. I like Hi-Caps because I hate reloading but the sound does get annoying. Anyway, I shipped out my P90, still nothing back from the buyer. The package is supposed to arrive Friday (Jesus christ UPS is fast) so latest I need to get a tracking number to confirm he shipped out the CIRAS is Thursday night otherwise I need to cancel the delivery.
A trickle charger is not a smart charger. The batteries ASGI gives you with the packages are the worst batteries they offer, don't trust it.
It's not AGSI's battery though. It comes with it.
I like midcaps when they work. Those MAG M4 midcaps are proving to be pieces of shit despite spraying them with silicon spray. They feed like every other shot. During the game I said fuck these mags, ejected the shitty midcap and quick loaded a hicap and continued to hose down a group of 10 guys who were being tagged back by a medic. I wouldn't have been able to shoot them all out with those piece of shit misfeeding midcaps. Lesson learned: Don't buy MAG midcaps unless you're planning on salvaging the springs from them.
I'm considering buying those King Arms PMAG's. I've heard nothing but good things about them.

About 3 years ago they used to be great and everyone used them. By the time I switched they were pieces of crap. Horribly molded smaller plastic components with too wide of tolerances, causing jams and misfeeds.
Thanks for the warning, the price is tempting, but I know to stay away. It'd be a lot cheaper if I could find a cheaper M16a3/a4 than the G&G one, cause my bill is like $600. Any reccomendations? How's the ICS ones?
