War between steambots and the SCP foundation.
I never knew about this site. This is awesome. Thank you for posting this.

God that is so awesome.
Need more mythos.
all this data expunged shits annoying i wanna know what that goo stuff does to dead bodies
SCP-173 reminds me of SCP-689. Both are seemingly inanimate objects that move and kill people when nobody's looking. Most notable difference being that 173 doesn't appear to be able to go through walls, whereas 689 is limited to attacking only people who've seen it before.

The deleted data is good. It lets the article writer omit unnecessary details, adds to the feel of a secretive organisation, and the passages with [DATA EXPUNGED] followed by hinting at something horrific are funny.
SCP-038 is good.
Description: SCP-038 was found on an abandoned farm in █████████████, New York, in 19██. It was at first thought to be a common apple tree. However, upon closer inspection, it became apparent that SCP-038 was growing things other than apples and, in fact, other than fruit.
SCP-038 has the ability to clone any object that touches its bark. Objects begin growing almost instantaneously and reach maturity within a matter of minutes. A weight limit of 90.9 kg (200 lb) per object has been previously recorded. Objects that SCP-038 has thus far cloned include: apples, oranges, watermelons, eggplants, candy bars, snack foods (See Addendum #1), televisions, toasters, laptops, keys (See Addendum #2), chairs, wine, DVDs, CDs (See Addendum #3), cats, dogs, and people.
Human and animal cloning through SCP-038 is not recommended, as they appear to age quickly. The majority of these clones live, on average, two weeks. After thorough examinations of the deceased clones, it has been determined that they had begun to ferment before death.
Object is currently held on Site-23 and there are currently no plans to move it.
Addendum #1: Dr. Klein has requested that personnel discontinue the cloning of items from the vending machines. (See Document #338-1)
Addendum #2: Dr. Klein has requested that personnel discontinue the cloning of personal items. (See Document #338-1)
Addendum #3: Dr. Klein has requested that personnel discontinue the cloning of movies and music. (See Document #338-1)
Addendum #4: Dr. Klein has requested that personnel discontinue the cloning of cans of Miller, Budweiser, and Foster's. Dr. Klein has furthermore expressed customary disapproval of the quality of such cloned items. (See Document #338-1b)
Document #338-1: "I would like to remind all personnel that SCP-038 is not, I repeat, not a toy. It should not be used for cloning car keys, movies, music, or items from the vending machines. If this behavior continues I will be forced to limit access to SCP-038.
- Dr. Klein"
Document #338-2: It has been noted that SCP-038 is able to clone SCP-500 — however, such pills only work 30% of the time, with chance of successfully healing dropping as time since cloned increases. In 60% of the cases where the infection is permanent, symptoms of infection remain, though further infestation is neutralized.
SCP-038 Partial Testing Log - select experiments only
For full test records and reports, contact affiliated researchers for authorization
Date: 11/08/████
Intent: Confirmation of mass limit: investigation into consequences of exceeding limit.
Summary of test results: Four-hundred-pound steel ingot made contact with the outer bark of SCP-038. Chamber vacated as a precaution. Cloned ingot grew at typical speed, but growth halted abruptly short of completion. Examination of the end of the aborted facsimile revealed a rough texture superficially resembling miniature-scale tree bark. Item detached from SCP-038 as typical, and was subsequently found to weigh 90.91 kilograms, or almost precisely 200 pounds.
Date: 11/08/████
Intent: Investigation into duplication of non-biological animate matter.
Summary of test results: SCP-173, deemed a suitable test subject because of its lack of verifable life processes, introduced into containment chamber by Class-D personnel. Contact made with the outer bark of SCP-038, and SCP-173 returned immediately to containment. SCP-173 facsimile began development at typical speed, beginning at point of contact. As consistent with previous results, growth halted at the two-hundred-pound threshold, in this case terminating development after replication of the head, right arm, and partial upper torso. Class-D test subject was ordered to break eye contact with clone. When test subject eventually blinked, no movement was observed in cloned material. Extinguishing and reestablishment of containment chamber light supply revealed no apparent reaction from cloned material. Experiment concluded. During storage of cloned portion of SCP-173, it was observed that the partial facsimile was in fact making violent gestures, at a dramatically slower rate. Movement was shown to continue regardless of state of observation.
3 hours of reading well spent.
Item #: SCP-113
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-113 requires no extraordinary containment procedures, and is to be kept in a standard storage locker in Site-23. SCP-113 is hazardous to personnel, and should be handled only through rubber laboratory gloves to prevent accidental exposure. Personnel accidentally exposed to SCP-113 are to be kept under medical observation for 24 hours.
Description: SCP-113 resembles a small piece of red jasper, but when analyzed under EDX, Mass Spec. and other fingerprinting analysis, is found to consist of none of the usual constituents. Instead, its composition is similar to that of SCP-338.
When touched by the flesh of an organism possessing sex chromosomes, the object changes both the genetic and the physical sex of the entire organism. This happens in 3 stages. In the first stage, lasting approximately 0.2 seconds, the object forms a bond with the cells that it touches and induces an unknown chemical change. In the second stage, lasting approximately 2 seconds, the item emits a low-energy wave that travels through the body. This causes a complex protein interaction that changes the chromosomes of the organism to those of the opposite sex. In the third and final stage, which lasts around 20 seconds, the item emits another wave that causes cells in the body and the peripheral nervous system to change to a unique variation of partially-differentiated stem cells. Upon returning to normal human tissue, the subject will be physically altered to the opposite gender. This change is semi-permanent, in that it can only be reversed by a second contact with the item. When the object is placed into direct contact with asexual organisms or inorganic material, it begins the process, but stops at the first stage.
The process of transformation has been described as excruciatingly painful. The initial bonding process causes tissue damage similar to third-degree burns, penetrating into subcutaneous fat and muscle tissue in rare cases. The "wave" described in the second stage causes extreme nausea and vomiting, along with feeling similar to burning across the skin and through internal organs. Restructuring of the nervous system causes intense stimulation of all sensory nerves, including those that transmit pain and sexual arousal. The third-stage process of transformation has a failure rate of approximately 25%. In about half of failed transformation, partial or complete obliteration of the genitals is experienced, along with lacerations of the skin and abdominal organs as they transform at slightly different rates. An additional half of failed cases result in death of the subject by severe organ trauma or internal bleeding, or partial or complete paralysis. Minor tissue damage, usually to the skin, occurs in nearly 75% of all cases. The failure rate increases exponentially for multiple exposures, often resulting in permanent damage even after successful transformation. Note that there is a significant risk of [DATA EXPUNGED] after multiple exposures.
Document #113-2: "Yes, it is quite hilarious exposing new class D personnel to SCP-113. Yes, anyone who does this again will be happily watching over Keter-class objects for the remainder of his or her brief stay with us." — Dr. Klein
Note: Dr. ██████ has proposed this item in the use of gaining more watchers on SCP-234; testing will commence soon
My favorite
This reminded me of the TV show "The Lost Room" The writers obviously got some inspiration from the SCP. If you like the more 'safe' object entries then this TV show is for you. It only got one series, but it has gained a cult following.

Holy shit. That's fucking awesome!
Seriously that guy can fucking generate weapons and kill you with them and most of the time...IT'S A SWORD MANS MOST BAD ASS BLADED WEAPON IN EXISTENCE.
Lol, I love this, very entertaining. Thanks for sharing OP.
This site is so much fun.
I want a movie made of this, but any of today's directors would fuck it up too bad.
They would put some bull shit with some stupid plot and Shia Labuff.
In the vending machine scp, I don't understand why it would be suggested to be moved to Keter, if something as deadly as...173 is only Euclid, not to mention the vending machine is only deadly when someone wants it to be, as opposed to 173 being deadly if you look away from it at all.
Just found out about this two days ago. It's fucking great.
This need a TV show. But only if it is done right.
Abel Is pretty badass. So is Cain, and in the Theli Crisis they get together and beat the shit out of each other.
I've blown hours reading these.

This one, also being the first one I read through, feels like it belonged on that show.
I think a TV show of this would be a hit on a channel like SyFy (SciFi is still an infinitely better name). It would get such a high fanbase and it could possibly be their highest grossing TV show. All they need are good writers and for it to have high production quality. Perhaps Duke 'till Dawn could be a season finale or something.

I know this is a bit of a bump but syfy already has a show like this.

It's not based on SCP mythos at all but it does bear quite a resemblance.
