Ed O'Brien said a new real Radiohead album will be out next year. :D!!!
One thing I love about Radiohead is how they actually work hard to keep their good name.
Radiohead is on Spotify..haven't listened to Radiohead in quite a while, but I think I will tomorrow.
I really hope Lift is on the next lp.
I really hope Lift is on the next lp.
I'd love it to happen, but there is practically zero chance it will. I'm more interested in new songs, not some 15 year old song they've never managed to get right in the past.
Nude was just about as old, and the version on In Rainbows ended up being one of my favourite radiohead songs.
Thom Yorke is a genius! I even wrote a biography about him for English class: Thomas Edward Yorke is one of the most influential people in the music industry. He was born 7’Th of October 1968 in Wellingborough, United Kingdom, with his left eye paralyzed and shut. It would take five eye operations to make it function properly. However the last surgery went wrong and his left eyelid remains paralyzed, but half opened. He moved around frequently and wherever he went other pupils picked on him because of his eye problems. Years later he formed a band with Ed O’Brien, Phil Selway and Colin Greenwood called On A Friday. After showing some demos for various record labels they changed band name to Radiohead. They showed their psychedelic style trough their debut album Pablo Honey, which didn’t get very famous at all. Their single Creep is still a smashing mainstream hit today though. It wasn’t until Colin’s younger brother Jonny Greenwood joined the band that they got quite interesting. The Bend would be their next album which got credit for Jonny’s interesting and complex guitar solos and Yorke’s very welcome falsetto singing - the source of Radiohead’s immerse and intricate sound today. They got lots of tips and guidance about how exactly they should make their new album. Then they decided to do the very opposite of what everyone else said and the result is OK Computer. It’s not only a marvelous and grand album; it’s the best album of all time, true fact. I’m going to show some quotes however, assuming many people are not convinced by its technological beeps and strange noises which turned out to be guitars with an uncountable number of effect pedals. "I was really amazed of how people described the sound. Like the sound of Ed´s guitar at the start of No Surprises or the way Airbag starts. One sounds like child´s toy, the other sounds like a car accident. And for people to pick up on those things was a real fucking kick." – Thom Yorke There was a great ton of popularity and all that jazz about Radiohead, there even was a great documentary by name “Meeting People Is Easy” which is about why you do not want to become famous ever. Thom had a hard time getting trough all commotion the media created and some strange fans. After some time they got more optimistic and made the album Kid A and later on its sister album Amnesiac. It was great and all but very odd. Some songs where all electronic and made a very little sense, but if you listen closely and analyze the songs you’ll soon notice how much of a genius Thom is (which is the songwriter, singer, rhythm guitarist, pianist, 2’d drummer*1 of Radiohead). Also their song Idioteque from Kid A got ranked as the greatest song of the past decade by Pitchfork stating that it’s: “fearlessly experimental, robotic, fuelled by sounds totally alien to anyone brought up on the band’s past output, but so incredibly infectious it’s impossible to worry about any absent guitars”.*2 They then released Hail to The Thief and Thom released a solo album “The Eraser” those are probably my favourites but I’m running short on pages so redirect your eyes further down there, there. \/ In Rainbows is an interesting spectacle. When it first got released in 2007 it was a download only and you got to pay whatever you thought it was worth (0 kr or infinite amount of them, your choice) which redefined the music industry today. With followers as Nine Inch Nails shortly afterwards releasing a full album online for free and asking his fans to download and steal his other work which has been taken by the record label he signed with. Thom is an activist, always trying to make the world a greener place and influence young people to do the very same. Also his music is ace. xx -Petar I know there's many faults but that's because I didn't double check it and I've already sent it in... Oh well. (It's short because it's supposed to stand next to a painting of mine of Thom Yorke.)
Neato. Do you have a picture of the painting?
im doing a stipple of thom yorke for art class say neato to me too pls
Neato. Do you have a picture of the painting?
Nah, it's not done yet.
im doing a stipple of thom yorke for art class say neato to me too pls
i'll try
Am i the only one who doesn't really like any of the songs on Amnesiac?
Am i the only one who doesn't really like any of the songs on Amnesiac?
Probably. Pyramid Song is one of their best songs.
I enjoy every single album by Radiohead, but my favorite songs are the pessimistic Orwellian ones. For example 2+2=5.
can't be bothered searching so somebody tell me if any of their new stuff was released and if it has where i can get it
I love the acoustic versions of Black Star and Lucky.
So Rolling Stone called Kid A the best album of the decade. You guys think that it's worthy of that position. My thoughts: Sure why not.
Oh god, I can't unsee that picture now, thanks.
Sure why not.
I agree, however I've always been a bit of an Amnesiac man myself...
It's not my favourite of the decade, but I'm fine with it being number 1.
They remind me a bit of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, but I guess I should expect that frim a psychedelic band. I like them. Good sound.
im working on a remix of a radiohead song https://dl.dropbox.com/u/99892/everything%20in%20its%20right%20place%20remix.mp3
http://www.indexoncensorship.org/2010/09/radiohead-copyright-freespeech-music/ Mentions that they've just finished up a new album and they're deciding how to release it. For those who are interested.
They've said that they started recording their new album in May. It's not unreasonable to assume that there will probably be something new by fall next year.
where is it dawg where is it
