Somewhat, but churches wanting to marry gays are a dime a dozen, it's just everyone is overhyped by the fact they think gays will sue their church for not doing so (Mormons in particular)
Tax exempt churches should marry gays or start paying taxes. It's that simple.
Isn't that about churches not wanting to marry gays, but churches are tax exempt so it's like discrimination? (Not really kept up on this)
I basically believe that if homosexuals believe that civil unions (which are the same fucking thing) are not enough, then they should fight for those. Marriage is and always has been a religious procedure, between a man and a woman. Make your own offshoot called garraige, I don't know. The point is that civil unions are the same thing which they can already legally do, and I believe the only difference is about money, but if that is their problem, then it isn't really about becoming partners, its about the money, so I say "Fuck off".
World Peace!
Yeah but these days racism is looked down on much more then homophobia.
And homophobia, I might add.

Gay couple should have the same rights to something that is government sponsored as a straight couple.
How so?
Going on about how being gay is natural, then saying being natural is irrelevant as soon as we debunked it.

They are only the same thing in the state of California, nowhere else.
Research shit.
And No it hasn't "always" been between a man and a woman, it's been that way since christanity has been around, but Romans, native American, and a shitload of other groups have had gay marriage.
Going on about how being gay is natural, then saying being natural is irrelevant as soon as we debunked it.
Okay. I was wrong. That doesn't make it's naturalism relevant.
No. You do not have a right to believe in a magical man in the sky when you are running a country that I am a resident of.
That's not fair to the people just because of your own self interest. Maybe some people like to believing of a magical man in the sky.
Gay couple should have the same rights to something that is government sponsored as a straight couple.
Right, I have no problem with that. Which is why I said fight for civil unions to give the same rights as a marriage. I don't care about that, but it would show that these "H8" campaigns were all about the money, which is wrong, but whatever.
That's not fair to the people just because of your own self interest. Maybe some people like to believing of a magical man in the sky.
But this belief only exists out of ignorance for the most part and is detrimental to society as a whole.
Okay. I was wrong.
You've said that for nearly every argument you've had here :raise:
Therefore, get out.
Right, I have no problem with that. Which is why I said fight for civil unions to give the same rights as a marriage. I don't care about that, but it would show that these "H8" campaigns were all about the money, which is wrong, but whatever.
Why people are getting married is irrelevant when discussing the rights of a gay vs straight couple to get married as either couple could be doing it for money.
But this belief only exists out of ignorance for the most part and is detrimental to society as a whole.
Alrighty then.
You've said that for nearly every argument you've had here :raise:

I respect people who admit to mistakes, because it is hard to do that in a debate.
You've said that for nearly every argument you've had here :raise:

Wait, when was it proven in this thread that being gay was unnatural?
Why people are getting married is irrelevant when discussing the rights of a gay vs straight couple to get married as either couple could be doing it for money.
I disagree with straight couples getting married for the money as well, but i'm not on the streets protesting that no one should get married.

If they want to get married at a church, which is sponsored by the government, they should be allowed to do that. Civil union might be the same, but that doesn't matter. They should have the same rights as heterosexuals to get married at a church. It's no different from saying that blacks or asians etc, can't get married at a church.
Facepunch needs to do more research when it comes to topics like Gay marriage, Drugs, abortion, and pretty much every contraversial issue before continuing this thread, the ignorance in here is astounding, and it's all going off of what people have told them, and not what they've felt, experienced or even looked at.
It's just a cycle of bullshit untill this changes.

This is what I was trying to say.
I'm getting confused and it's really hot right now and I have no AC and I'm fucking tired.
Wait, when was it proven in this thread that being gay was unnatural?
The two posts made about it, and when you said "Okay, I was wrong"
I disagree with straight couples getting married for the money as well, but i'm not on the streets protesting that no one should get married.
No one should be getting "Married" everyone should have civil unions and leave marriage to fucking religious purposes only.

Well, maybe you could enlighten us all to where we're wrong.
No. You do not have a right to believe in a magical man in the sky when you are running a country that I am a resident of.
People have every right to believe whatever they want to believe. It's a part of freedom. Don't like it, shut up. And no, I'm posting this due to religion. I'm posting this in support of freedom and a man's rights.
No one should be getting "Married" everyone should have civil unions and leave marriage to fucking religious purposes only.
Right. Except churches are tax exempt and because of this their discrimination against marring gays is discrimination as if it were done by the government.
Well, maybe you could enlighten us all to where we're wrong.
Every post i've seen has had some inacuraccy, i've posted some facts, yet they go ignored, and as such, everyone in here should take 2-3 hour hatius and go research everything about the topics at hand, otherwise nothings going to get changed.
hell even researching it probably won't change, but atleast it will make for more interesting arguments.
I want homophobia to end and I want gays to get full rights. I also would want weed legalized and less focus on religion in the world.

People also have a right to know how the universe actually works, not as told by desert people in robes 2500 years ago.
Well, I dunno what to say to this. It's like racism and calling black people niggers is wrong, but at the same time, I don't think you should be fired for saying faggot.
Exactly my point.
