not that spoiled at all, my parents are willing to help me with a car payment, everything else is mine, cell phone, insurance, tuition, rent, food, gas, so if they are willing to help their 20 year old son with up to $2500, i dont think they are spoiling me. if they had given me my first car it would be a different story, but thats it, i have worked a real job to pay for everything

You still sound like you think that your parents giving you money is some given right and you're just searching for an excuse to make use of it. Just because they want to help you buy a new car doesn't mean you have to scam them into doing so.

If you're in a position to support your kids when you're older then I bet you will. I know I will do the same. I was lucky enough for my parents to help me out. I bought my car, they paid the first years insurance at £1700.

i dont think its a right, i am just thinking of my future, when i am out of medschool and over $100,000 in debt am i going to want to trade in a 1994 buick century worth absolutely nothing or have a car possibly worth still having or atleast worth trading? i am not thinking its a right, i know it isnt and that i am lucky they will... i dont feel bad at all about taking advantage of the things in my life and i definitely dont feel bad about thinking about and helping my own future go a little easier

when my son wants to get a car, I`ll do the best I can considering my financial position to help him buy his car, or even buy it for him, he can pay for gas and repairs but I`ll do all I can

It's not like they have a higher risk for anything per se.
What's with people who just have their car temporarily uninsured for whatever reason and it's just standing on public parking ground? If you do that in Germany they remove the seal on your license plate and are done with it. Taking your car away for that would just be ass - not everyone has private ground they can park their car on.
