Question: 1990 Toyota Corolla LE. Excellent condition, only two minor problems I would like to fix.
1. High-beams won't toggle. You can pull the lever towards you and hold it for high-beams, but pushing it forward into toggle position doesn't activate high-beams. Wat do?
2. The right half of the speedometer and gas gauge don't light up (Illumination knob at max). Halfway through the speedometer (From left to right) the lighting gradually fades to black, so I can't see the gas gauge at night. How can I fix this?
Just two minor problems. Also, someone told me my car leaked oil on their driveway, I went back to check and it was this clear-ish liquid that I could wipe off with my shoe. Anyone know what it could be? The car is rust-free and I saw no problems when it was on the hoist.

How involved would the fixing of that be? I don't want to tear my dashboard apart to try and fix it if it'll likely break something else in the process, but I don't want to pay $200 just to get a mechanic to put a bulb in there.

Finally i've got a full leather interior.. or i mean All my seats are leather...
Just finished the Drivers seat, with parts from a second passanger seat...
I raced a Eighth gen Civic Si yesterday. My dad was getting tires so I went with him so he wouldn't have to sit there the whole time. After we dropped off his car we decided to drive down to a local junkyard to look for some parts for the miata.
On our way there I was just cruising at about 60 in a 55 and I hear a downshift so I look in my rearview and see a civic dart out from behind a car and fly past me. I downshift and catch up, and go past him and slow down.
He rolls up and does the point ahead thing, I nod and we both downshift and I start to pull on him, I took it to about the top of 4th, maybe 95mph and let off back to the speed limit, he comes up and gives me a thumbs up and goes on.
It looked pretty stock, might have had an exhaust but if it did it sounded pretty good. The guy seemed cool to, he looked like maybe upper 20's
