the engine and trans are really good. So are the tires/breaks. but the interior is slowly falling apart. Something new breaks every few weeks. 161+

That also can double as a cost effective alignment alternative.

its not really a dent its like the entire floor of the left side of the drivers side of the floor is low and this causes the back of the seat to lean a little and it kind of annoys me ill take a picture later where you can easily see whats up

How can that even happen unless your car is a Brilliance? Like did he literally sit there how would that even fit, i can't see this happening with just your feet.
Being in the middle of no where is awesome For Pics. Shame I couldn't get any less noise (These were 400ISO @ 250 Second + Exposures ... Don't think the -35C Weather helps tho)

we're both obese, its not like it happened at once, it's from 16 years of us owning the car.

Subaru Impreza ftw
Any one from the 90's with a 2.2 will last pretty much forever. The transmissions are strong (I've heard the automatic transmission is actually stronger than the manual) With decent maintenance, you can get 300k or so out of them. With how I drive/maintain mine, I think mine will get to 250k miles or so.
Can't really think of any problems with them, only problem I can think of with Subaru's from the 90's is the head gaskets on the 2.5's that are known for leaking. The 1.8 is a decent motor, but it doesn't have much power.
Going to the Philly auto show today.
Probably will spend my whole day in the basement with the classics :fappery:

Not sure of the weight of your car but 180bhp vs 260hp, I think u got diz cuz.
:((((((((
my brakes on the front right wheel has rusted in place
That reminds me. I need to replace my brakes soon.
probably not more than an hour's worth of work
On a Toyota Forum, I discovered the wonderful "hit it until it works method".
A couple of good whacks to the dash later, the rest of my dash lights are working. :D

Wish I lived out in the middle of nowhere. In other news, got an ice day today. Fell on my ass three times trying to scrape my windows off.
Found the rattle on my wheel after months of looking! It's not the bushes, they are all fine... I greased em to cover all bases though. The wheel bearing had come loose slightly, simply tightened it up and now the rattle has gone.
Better than paying £300 for a new set of rear bushes :v:
Can't believe I didn't think to try that earlier.
bought a caliper but it's too dark to fix it now :v:
Wait, just 1 caliper?
I know jackshit about mechanics but shouldn't you do any modifications to your brakes in pairs?

Do I need to replace working ones? nah

I just need to have a working car for the moment so I do what's necessary, then I focus on "fine tuning" it
Calipers rarely break beyond repair. What was the problem? Normally dismantling and greasing or replacing the seals is enough to refurbish them to a good standard. The pistons are pretty resilient so shouldn't suffer any breakage.

i guess i just needed to hear it from someone else, and the weight difference concerned me, but i dont think even a 300-400lb weight difference makes up for FWD vs RWD or NA vs FI

That caliper is 18 years old and I haven't taken a look at it yet so I don't know exactly how bad it is but I'm replacing it tomorrow so it doesn't matter anyway :v:
Ah I see. I'm pretty competent mechanically but I'm somewhat apprehensive when it comes to working with brakes.
