About to go spray up my stock gray side skirts on my BMW black with $3.50 auto shop spraypaint. Wish me luck. :v:
before and after pictures please
I know, I think it's completely ridiculous how the companies react. It closed at like $97 a barrel today which brought prices down a little bit but not much. My 16.5mpg average is hurting to say the least. True, I'm not about to complain that much when I see how much they pay across the pond.
What? Almost 17 a gallon and you're hurting? My 77 chevy that i sold got 5 MPG, that's hurting. I bought my rx7 that gets 16 if that, and i almost cried when i didn't have to fill up every 4 days. In fact, the majority of cars on the market usually don't get over 18 in city. My mom just bought a 2011 Ford Escape, little tiny 4 banger right off the lot, one of the most efficient without going hybrid or smart car, and she's still only getting like 19.5.
Just paid $1.40 for gas yesterday. I was able to fill up for under 30 bucks. :smug:

My mom's maxed out a gas station pump at $100 to fill her Avalanche. :v:
$25 usually does it for me, i always fill once i hit 1/4 tank.
I drive an '09 Nissan Maxima.
sick what kind of turbo how much hp is it pushing pics
It's probably a $4999 Greddy-style kit with a 76mm turbo and is tuned for 3psi.
It's probably a $4999 Greddy-style kit with a 76mm turbo and is tuned for 3psi.
there`s no way that turbo can handle each of those 3 psi
My 60L tank costs $75~ to fill. :(
I got a 25 gallon tank I usually only have to put in 20 gallons in. But usually I have to pay upwards of 60 bucks.
Yeah I'm starting to pay a lot more at the pump now. Not very fun.
It's probably a $4999 Greddy-style kit with a 76mm turbo and is tuned for 3psi.
ahaha so many things wrong with a kit like that
I drive a BMW 2006 X5 around and I have been experiencing with the manual-switch-over control. Is it wise to say that the manual control is comparable to that of a bicycle? A very, very x6 expensive bicycle? And does it save a bit more fuel as opposed to automatic transmission?
Is it wise to say that the manual control is comparable to that of a bicycle? A very, very x6 expensive bicycle?
uhh sure? theyre both pretty hard to fuck up
uhh sure? theyre both pretty hard to fuck up
Well, my friend just told me that as long as the RPM needle doesn't hit red I'm fine. I usually just shift at around 3.5 to 4 on the RPM meter.
Well, my friend just told me that as long as the RPM needle doesn't hit red I'm fine. I usually just shift at around 3.5 to 4 on the RPM meter.
Lol hitting redline is fine, the car will just fuel cut. Now if you downshift into above redline, then das bad.
i forget sometimes that not everyone knows that conversation with friend who doesn't know cars but is trying to get into them "*dropping him off at his house after pounding 1st through 4th* Him: What happens if you floor it in first? Me: Uhh, what? Him: Like if you're stopped and you start to go and floor it in first and don't shift? Me: Hmm, you'll bounce off the rev limiter? Him: Is that bad? Me: (Just to fuck with fresh meat i say) If you're not in a honda, yeah pretty much."
[editline]25th February 2011[/editline] but das bad
rev limiter is fuel cut bro
yeah but ignition cut is where it's at
I disabled my rev limiter. Valve spring and rod bearing cut is where it's at.
but really, would hitting a fuel cut rev limiter make you go lean or what
No, if there's no fuel then there's nothing for the spark plug to ignite. But anyway I think you're actually right and I got it wrong, the rev limiter is electronically controlled through the spark plugs.
but really, would hitting a fuel cut rev limiter make you go lean or what
no load on engine so i don't think it gives a fuck you go full lean when you engine brake [editline]25th February 2011[/editline]
I disabled my rev limiter.
wat
wat
Jk, but it's set at something dumb and way past my powerband into the redline.
yeah mine too, even when it was stock 7200rpm, power starts to drop off at 5500 :v
I got a 25 gallon tank I usually only have to put in 20 gallons in. But usually I have to pay upwards of 60 bucks.
10.5 gallon tank here, u jelly?
10.5 gallon tank here, u jelly?
brb refilling after getting out of the driveway
10.5 gallon tank here, u jelly?
I got a 10 gallon tank and I get 55 mpg highway and 48 city. It's quite nice because gas(petrol) is getting pretty expensive.
brb refilling after getting out of the driveway
I get about 33 MPG, and I mainly drive in the city. U jelly.
