Did they sell Japanese 2.5rs's? It has to be imported since it's RHD. Also, it has 4-pot brakes. [editline]4th March 2011[/editline] It's not a 22b because those were only wide-body coupes, but it could be an authentic WRX. Here's a wallpaper I found. Notice it has the same wheels, four-pot brakes and everything else besides the bumper. that sounds terrible
haha, just beat a mustang on the highway. Must've been a V6, but still! I was driving at 110 km/h (70 mph i think), and I saw a Mustang in the inner lane, and i rolled up on the side of him and revved like the fucking ricer i am, and he looked over and then i could see he floored it then i kicked down into third and he kept pulling away, but then he had to shift and i still had 1,5k rpms left before shift and then i just took on! i felt the adrenaline in my dick
Nice. I wish I had more stories like that with my car. People around here don't seem to care about racing.
I went to 60 on my first lesson :smug:
80 out on the country roads :smug: 03' Jettas are actually really fun to drive. [editline]5th March 2011[/editline] Then I stalled it out on an "uphill" stopsign with some asshat too close behind me. It had me paranoid that I was going to roll back into him, but all went well.
Luxury cars are like death traps, my moms car keys if you unlock the door with them sets the seats to memory 1 which is for her and shes really tiny. I used the key to unlock the door from in the car, and then the seat squished me into the ceiling/steering wheel.
P. sure you can set it to not save the settings via the key. Even my moms cheapass Astra got that setting.
Nice. I wish I had more stories like that with my car. People around here don't seem to care about racing.
Same. Mustangs are rare here, and I didn't really think it was a Mustang before I came up close. It was 3 am and I was on my way home so I just thought "fuck it, I'll see if he wants to race". It's the first time I've ever done it.
Prices predicted to soar to £2 a litre ($14 a gallon for you Americans) in the coming months with this trouble in the middle east. The government has hinted they may step in to offer a solution, they plan not to add 1 pence to fuel duty in April... 1p saving, thanks Mr Cameron, really saving us money there! Maybe if you lowered the fucking 60% tax rate on fuel and take off some of the £0.80 per litre they pocket then maybe we can bring fuel down to reasonable prices. Fucking hate this government, why can't these revenues be collected elsewhere? Alcohol, cigarettes, chocolate and other shit people don't really need, let us pay the price for luxury. I'd rather pay £4 for a pint of beer than £2 for a litre of petrol as I can deal with not drinking or smoking as much but we all need our cars, people need to get the kids to school, to get to work and cargo needs transporting but the government does nothing as fuel prices go through the roof. I'd love the UK to take a leaf from the Gulf's book and actually stand up to our government. We're too happy to sit back and watch it happen. The guy in Tunisa who started the revolution by pouring petrol over himself and setting himself alite outside the government building in protest to their corruption... That wouldn't happen over here as petrol is too fucking expensive to waste like that!
I hate how much it costs to fill a car. I guess that's the price we pay for such a privilege.
And I thought 3 dollars a gallon was high. D:
americans have it easy
It's not a privilege though. For many a car is a necessity. What about self-employed people who have to fuel their vans in order to work? Famers, lorry drivers, bus drivers... This country's infrastructure relies on those services and those businesses are struggling to meet the fuel bills at the minute. At the very least the government could introduce a special fuel rate for traders like that do with red diesel for agricultural use, it's tax exempt. If they want to boost the economy they need to encourage people to start spending money, this ain't going to happen when everyone's cash is going into their fuel tanks. The only 2 bodies benefiting from this are the oil companies and the government. Fucking idiots, our government has no idea about the real world. Every time they visit somewhere on a day out the truth is hidden behind a clean, perfect front put on to impress them for one day as they prepared for the visit. Let them turn up to a state school or hospital unannounced and see how shit this country really is getting. For a young driver it's fucking impossible. My car is costing me £350 a month in fuel and insurance. Fortunatley I can afford it OK but not everyone can so a lot of people who need a car are struggling to pay bills or even get to work because of this. Fuck retiring in England, I'm off to Australia when the time comes! [/rant]
Question then: I'm going to be joining the military in September and I thought about England as one of the places I want to be stationed at. I'll only have to be there for 3 years however but I'm wondering as an American, is it a nice place to live? Or should I look elsewhere?
Read my posts above... Seriously, don't bother. As a kid, 10 years ago I rememebr it being a nice place to live, but not now. Perhaps I was just naive back then...
OK. Thanks for the info. I'll be sure to consider your thoughts as I decide where I want to end up.
americans have it easy
Yeah we are spoiled, I try not to waste gas(petrol) though. My car gets like 55mpg so 3 dollars a gallon isn't so bad. But there are people who drive huge trucks that get like 10mpg for their daily drivers. They are fucking crazy.
It's crazy to see all those huge trucks on the road. 90% of the time people drive them because they can and don't use them for their intended purpose.
It's crazy to see all those huge trucks on the road. 90% of the time people drive them because they can and don't use them for their intended purpose.
I asked my friends why they want a truck and they say "because they are useful, I can move stuff if I want" then I ask "how often are you going to move stuff, just go borrow someone else's truck" then they ignore me. A few weeks or so later after they get their truck they, start complaining on how much gas costs. Then I proceed to call them an idiot.

Been thinking about getting a mild crapper car to learn off of. I have a truck but cars are more fun to drive around. This is what I've found so far. http://alberta.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicles-cars-trucks-Plymouth-Volare-W0QQAdIdZ204680951 I don't know what it is, but something about this car is badass. Raise the rear a little, paint it black, do some body modifications to the rear window so it doesn't look so bad. Then when I move onto the next level, throw a mopar v8 in it. I'd buy it but the ok comes from my dad, which is like a 3% success rate. The magnum 500s it has for the rear tires are my favorite type of rim, ever. Without those on it, the car would look 100% less cool.
from Autoblog First they came for the exotics, and I didn't speak out because I didn't have an exotic. Then they came for the V8's, and I didn't speak out because I didn't have a V8. Then they came for the Evos, and I didn't speak out because I didn't have an Evo. Then they came for my NA non-hybrid sporty car and there was no one left to speak out for my NA non-hybrid sporty car.
I drive a 14 year old beat up crown victoria. I shouldn't complain cause it was 200 dollars, and it runs fine and drives like a fucking boat. (it was 200 dollars cause it was in the family)
:q:1979 El Camino 74,500 $5,500 obo says its original miles, i know thats pretty low for a car that old but im gonna have my mechanic look at it, its p sexy looking
Malibu El Camino, I approve. It better be the 305, or if you got real lucky the 350. V6 El Caminos are still nice though. Transplanting a 3800 out of a '78 (the 229 ci V6) into my '64 El Camino, since a V8 in that boat would drink gas. Originally had a 327 to go in it but it's no hot rod, just going with a V6 for cruising.
Well if your cruising your not going to be driving it that often, so who cares about paying a little more for the gas. The fun you get out of the V8 will pay for itself.
