Prices predicted to soar to £2 a litre ($14 a gallon for you Americans) in the coming months with this trouble in the middle east. The government has hinted they may step in to offer a solution, they plan not to add 1 pence to fuel duty in April...
1p saving, thanks Mr Cameron, really saving us money there! Maybe if you lowered the fucking 60% tax rate on fuel and take off some of the £0.80 per litre they pocket then maybe we can bring fuel down to reasonable prices. Fucking hate this government, why can't these revenues be collected elsewhere? Alcohol, cigarettes, chocolate and other shit people don't really need, let us pay the price for luxury. I'd rather pay £4 for a pint of beer than £2 for a litre of petrol as I can deal with not drinking or smoking as much but we all need our cars, people need to get the kids to school, to get to work and cargo needs transporting but the government does nothing as fuel prices go through the roof.
I'd love the UK to take a leaf from the Gulf's book and actually stand up to our government. We're too happy to sit back and watch it happen.
The guy in Tunisa who started the revolution by pouring petrol over himself and setting himself alite outside the government building in protest to their corruption... That wouldn't happen over here as petrol is too fucking expensive to waste like that!
Prices expected to soar to $2/litre here so... $7.57/gallon. Also, your conversion is off. It would only be $12.30/gallon but that's still rediculous.
Yeah we are spoiled, I try not to waste gas(petrol) though. My car gets like 55mpg so 3 dollars a gallon isn't so bad. But there are people who drive huge trucks that get like 10mpg for their daily drivers. They are fucking crazy.
55mpg? That's insane. I only get 23 MPG in my corolla and gas is $4.55/gallon here (Canada, so $1.23/litre)
Also, your conversion is off. It would only be $12.30/gallon but that's still rediculous.
Yours is off too, it would be $10.64/gal for us.
The tuning program for my Talon is pretty cool, it tells me how much fuel I am using and an estimated MPG calculator, I get close to 30mpg on the highway which is really good with E85. But when I fill up it's usually like 16mpg.
No idea what kind of mileage I get. I've been too broke to fill up completely. If I had to guess, I'm getting between 25-30 MPG. Probably close to 26-27, which is weird, it's what my high comp D16Y7/D15B1 build got. And my friend's CRX gets about 27 too. But his is a stock D15B bored 30 over, it should be getting at least 30. It needs a new TB gasket, cold air intake (the one on it is one that me and Japfeiffer rigged because it didn't have anything on it before) and timing adjustment. I'll probably be doing that next weekend.
I remember getting 35 in my colt, but it blew an oil seal and hasn't had a tuneup in a while. It ended up getting about 28 before I parked it. When my old EF hatch was stock, it got 39.5 MPG combined, I kinda wish I had kept it stock but I don't like being slow. :| I'd rather shell out a few extra bucks at the pump for a little more fun.
Malibu El Camino, I approve. It better be the 305, or if you got real lucky the 350. V6 El Caminos are still nice though. Transplanting a 3800 out of a '78 (the 229 ci V6) into my '64 El Camino, since a V8 in that boat would drink gas. Originally had a 327 to go in it but it's no hot rod, just going with a V6 for cruising.
Its a V8 but i didn't write down what engine it was.
I'm going to throw out a 90% chance of it being a 305. Still nto a bad motor, p much anything you can bolt on a 350 goes right on that thing. You've just got a smaller B/S if I recall correctly.
I just realized your avatar is a cat. I thought it was some weird anime girl.
It's a cat drawing by Pixel, creator of Cave Story.
When I find the original I'm going to use the whole picture as my avatar.

nvm, just found it. It's part of Pixel's "Neko 100" collection.

thats what i want to do, closest station to me is in like orlando or something
Edberg, don't you drive a civic?
If someone is getting 20mpg average ina D-series Civic, something is wrong with that car.
no he drives a soobie
Ah, right. He's the one with the turbo subie...
I am still trying to remember everyone, sorry about that.
Is this thread about MPG or something now?
I get ~30mpg in my Subie (EJ222 FTW)
and around ~8mpg in my 'ol K20 (350sbc FTW)
Getting about 25mpg with my E30 328i.
300 miles from a 60L tank works out at 22.5MPG on my Lude when driven reasonable carefully. Pretty bad for a 2.2 N.A Jap car. Was doing about 14MPG when I first got it and was hammering it everywhere, cost me £160 in petrol in one week! Have had to cut back a bit on mileage and flooring it sicne then :v:
Might be time for a new o2 sensor. Will hopefully claw a few MPG back with that.
Running it on premium 99RON fuel makes a big difference both in power and better MPG, it's a job to afford it all the time and it's pointless only using it every so often as you need a tankful and a few days for the ECU to adjust.
the first car i ever got did 8.3l/100km, my hilux does the same. first one was 800kg's, hilux is 2.7 tonne.
lol
can one of you scooby guys tell me what this is?
its RHD and was driven by a hot chick

Funny, I saw an exact copy of that a few days ago and wondered what it was. It was being driven by someone who looked to be more of the brostang type.
20mpg
yay awd
I'm in self-regulated mpg mode.
2400 rpm shifts, 60mph highway cruising, over inflated tyres. Get out of my way Civics, E85 Talon is going to get better gas mileage than you.

Small 267 V8 4.4

lol at my brother thinking my dads f250 had a 4.0 and that the camino was bigger :downs: (it has a 6.4 or something)

and then you take a turn and it slides over under the brake
So I was sitting at my desk when I hear my brother say something about my Forza skills over xbox. His little friend said he'd beat me, I said I would destroy him blah blah blah. His little friend says, "Well, my brother knows how to adjust the gear ratio's and tune his car." I walked away and chuckled.
Guess what
