I thought about taking my truck to a drag strip, but then I realised it would cost me $70 in gas to get there and back. Would have been fun to show up some ricers.
Going to look at the Benz tomorrow. I'm so excited.
What are you going to look at?
What are you going to look at?
This car: http://stlouis.craigslist.org/ctd/2153917675.html
rice and orange showgirls everywhere
for every 2 ricers there seems to be one good car, and the skylines make seeing 5 ricers still worth it [editline]16th January 2011[/editline]
This car: http://stlouis.craigslist.org/ctd/2153917675.html
your ls400 could easily be infinitely cooler than that car
This car: http://stlouis.craigslist.org/ctd/2153917675.html
That's a pretty bitchin' car, I hope there's no catch to it.
Automatic makes me sad though. Still nice car.
your ls400 could easily be infinitely cooler than that car
500SL's make 322 hp though, and I think they look pretty cool too.
Automatic makes me sad though. Still nice car.
Don't think they ever made them in manual.
Oh god, got work in less than an hour and my car is 90% covered in hard ice :saddowns: I hate winter [editline].[/editline] I was searching for pictures of rust texture for the RoR forum and I found this...:

Not sure to make a thread or post this here but, my car needs a new timing belt. How difficult would it be to replace that myself? I'm not too keen on paying a few hundred dollars to have someone do it if I can do it myself. I have a 95 Toyota Corolla if it makes any difference.
Timing belts are very difficult to install yourself. Unless you have the proper tools and knowledge, I wouldn't recommend it.

What are you doing
What the easiest way to take 500 to 1,000 pounds out of a 2004 Toyota Camry XLE?
Gut the interior? Remove AC and other non essential parts.
I'm not positive I'll do this, but if I do, I was thinking of removing the the passenger seats, AC, tools, spare tire, and gutting the doors and trunk. Currently it is at around 4,400Lbs and I want to get it lower than 3,500Lbs. Okay, some sites say it weighs around 4,400 and some say 3,200... I believe 3200 more, it doesn't seems to weigh that much.

I totally would, but I want to keep it nice on the outside and my mother would kill me, I told her I'd keep it looking stock on the outside, not like the piles of trash, bondo, and stickers she pointed out in the parking lot. That, and I have to be able to drive to school and back with it.
but really, whats the point? its not, and never will be, a performance car. [editline]17th January 2011[/editline] Kelly blue book, which is usually accurate for cars without a niche market, puts the private party value for the camry at around $10,000. That will buy a pretty damn awesome car.
InternetAutoGuide says its worth $5,991 - $12,339. I can't sell the car until I'm out of school, or I have to sell it and buy a new car over the 2 months of summer vacation. I want something I could take to a track and have fun with.
where do you live. seriously, $7,000 to $11,000 will easily get you a fun car that can be tracked

I'm going to be getting a new car within the next year or so. The various ideas that I've come up with include: Toyota Celica Scion TC Volkswagen Golf Volkswagen Jetta Pontiac G6 Mitsubishi Eclipse Eagle Talon It will be my daily driver. I'm looking for something that doesn't look too bad, decent on gas, and stuff like that. Any recommondations?

Toyota Celica - fwd, ugly Scion TC - chick car Volkswagen Golf - ok Volkswagen Jetta - ok Pontiac G6 - "fly like a g6" references for the rest of your life, plus its boring Mitsubishi Eclipse - chick cars, except for GST and GSX, both bad on gas, GST fwd crap Eagle Talon - really don't know why this is on here unless you had performance in mind in which case why are all of those other car in this list
