Look what just rolled in at work
Matte grey Supra with Lamborghini Gallardo brakes (white calipers). The whole building rumbled when he drove in here, lol.

Best use of matte grey ever.
My mug of a mate is driving without insurance. He passed his test last April and instead of buying something he could afford to insure he vouched for a Golf R32, now his insurance has lapsed due to him not affording the monthly payments and I passed on the road last night. Gave him a call to tell him not to be an idiot, doubt he'll listen though.
Tons of people drive without insurance. I for one have driven cars uninsured before, albeit only for short distances (transporting the car a few miles down the road)
But I live (er, lived) out in the country, miles from town, where there wasn't much of a hazard in driving without it (you fuck up and wreck into a ditch, you're boned anyways) and little to no traffic generally all the time.
Regardless, it's stupid to drive without insurance, mainly because, no matter how good a driver you are, if you make one small mistake and a police officer catches you, you can and probably will lose your car, and depending on your local laws, your license.
harley sportser 883 or honda shadow phantom 750
:aaa: this is p cool, i dont care if you have seen it already

So insurance works like this apparently
Fast firebird is ~2k
Slow F-150 is ~3k
All suv's are ~3k
Fire bird is cheaper to insure yet faster, this confuses me, Yes yes i know its a great deal but i cant very well go offroading in a firebird. Cherokee/pickup truck is kinda where my heart is.
firebirds are ugly

It's a lot more risky in the UK. The majority of police cars roundhere have automatic number plate recignition cameras attached to them these days so pass a police car and it'll ping up on their HUD that the car isn't insured and they'll pull you for it, being a young driver they'll throw the book at you too. Standard policy is 6 points and a hefty fine, being a new driver 6 points would lose him his license.
Aaaand a pic of the front, lol.

Exactly what crossed my mind. :v:
This may be an odd question, but what makes older engines have that wonderful low, gurgling, rumble sound? Why do newer engines have that whirrrr and whine sound? Example:
I have a 94 Jeep Cherokee and its got a inline 6 cyl with around 200 hp. My friend has a V6 Saturn Vue, I don't know the hp. But mine sort of has that low rumble at idle and when I go pedal to the floor, it sounds amazing, almost on par with an older muscle car just not as awesome. Yet his has that whine and whir yet our engines are very similar.
What makes the difference with engine sounds?

Rated winner.
Welcome to the Cherokee club :allears:
Chill as fuck. Mine's like all stock though, duct tape on the right headlight bezel as its broken (long story :v:), when I first got it like a year ago, I accidentally hit a tree so theres a dent in the bumper and a small crack in the frame, paint discoloration.
Yeah its in rough cosmetic shape, it was neglected for a quite a few years until I got it and I've been taking the best care I can of it. However the interior is pretty clean and nice and the engine really has no problems.
If I had the money, I'd like to fix it up but alas, I'm saving up for a 77 Trans Am.
Giant wall of cars for sale that im considering (in a local ad thing) :v:
Some are "considering" because i can afford them, not necessarily cos i like them
Just for lemon lover 98' Grand motherfuckin Cherokee 4x4 170k miles $3495||97' Grand cherokee 4x4 160k miles $2400
:smug: 95' ford mustang GT cobra 143k miles $4495
meh maybe my search wont take so long :buddy:
I think you mean Ldesu lol
I don't know anything about jeeps
also I'd go for the cobra
The only local radio station I listen to got replaced by talk radio. I don't think my car even has a tape deck. Why did they have to kill the only Rock station? Why not one of the 8 Rap/R&B or one of the 5 Pop stations? :frown:

I got mine like two days ago lol
Well then have fun with an awesome car.
The MPG is like 3 miles better than your average muscle car though so be ready to shell out money.
Guys, I'm thinking of selling my '92 Ford Ranger to buy a '92 Buick Park Avenue.
Stats:
107k Miles
1 owner (old lady)
New tires
All fluids changed
Nice and quiet (supercharged engine :byodood:)
Brand new alternator and master cylinder
Body and interior in good shape
I've checked all the lights, climate control, electrical systems, etc. I could only find two problems:
1. Both passenger window controls (the one on the driver door and passenger door) are kind of iffy.
2. Tachometer is on steroids (AKA, tap the gas pedal and OMG 10k RPM!!!)
Price: $2,750
Is this a good deal?
Why don't you move up in the car world instead of going backwards?
Because ~18 MPG doesn't cut it and this is about all I'd be able to afford.
I still have my Monte Carlo though, the Park Avenue would be a work car.
Did I read that it's supercharged?
