Well, i have no way to but i guess i'm gonna go to the nearest workshop and see what they say since our local Volvo dealer is rather bad.

Disc.
Let's hope it's not, i'm not made out of money.
Wheel bearings are pretty cheap and you can replace them with a ratchet set and a bit of patience.
A car repair shop isn't a bad idea to take it to unless they charge you for looking at it.
lol you'll beat me, i'm shitty with cars.
I'm pretty excited. I'm not really competitive at all so I'll probably do one "good" run then just go balls out with the rest to have fun.
Also going to try to put my turbo on before then. Hope they don't have a sound rule about dump tubes and anti-lag. lol
Wheel bearings are pretty cheap and you can replace them with a ratchet set and a bit of patience.
Well i can't obviously but my local Volvo dealer gave me a 1200€ estimate for replacing all bearings and told me it would be a necessary repair some time. I'm not planning to go there since they're just gonna do a bunch of unnecessary shit and charge me for it. So i'll go find a cheap workshop nearby then.
The big change in '89 was the common block, when they used the same block for 2.2 and 2.5 and just changed B/S ratios for displacement. I'm pretty sure your vacuum diagram will be mostly accurate, you should be safe.
Parts from '88 and earlier don't interchange with '89 and up however I think it's just the heads and internal stuff irc. So yeah I'll probably be fine.
Mine father coming home tonight, though im going on my own vacation on thursday, so i prob wont get to look at that goddamned truck till tuesday
What's with the whiners in this section who take everything too seriously?
What's with the whiners in this section who take everything too seriously?
I have no idea. It's really annoying sometimes, It's great that there is an automotive section and that we can dick around and have fun talking about cars, not as fun when people start taking it all like we're abusing their children or something. :(
Although luckily all the good threads are full of nice people, I haven't met anyone on here I don't get along with alright.
Except that damned Freezorg...... :bahgawd:
i have a decat and a straight pipe, it goes WOM twice when i get faster
Panamera gets an upgrade.

I've seen three of those in my town on the way to school. I still don't like the side view of them.
I'm a ricer so my next car is going to be something RHD. converted 240, silvia, 180sx, r32 gts-t, hell, maybe even a jdm integra type r to fuck about with for a month or two and resell it for a couple grand profit.
Excuse my stupidity but what does ricer mean?
I'm going to venture a small guess at someone who drives an Asian made car due to the large rice trade in that area.

The people across the street from me with 4inch exhausts on their hondas
The people who glue vents onto their cars to make them faster
my brother made it into an acronym but i forget what it was
Race Inspired Car Enhancement maybe

Well it means anyone who does shit like 4 inch exhaust tips on a stock 4 cylinder, cheap spoilers with no aerodynamic use, red "race seat" seat covers, chrome hubcaps, mirror tint, springs cut so low their shocks explode
But some extend the usage of the term to all japanese cars, awesome or not, even though there are tons of riced out mustangs and corvettes. So I use the term in jest, and laugh when stupid people agree.
So basically cars from the Fast and Furious series?
The early ones definitely, 2 Fast 2 Furious being the worst. The last one and the upcoming one are better, but still show a bit of it's ricer origins.
people with mudflaps
Hey, I know lots of people who's vehicles aren't road legal without mudflaps. :v:

There's a white r33 gts-t in wisconsin with work vs-xx wheels and he just agreed to trade for my car plus $2,000 on top, but my dad wont even consider driving up there.

Drive 1,200 miles, one way?
[editline]31st March 2011[/editline]
Also, the r33 needs a tune so it probably wouldnt be a good idea to drive it that far.
yes
[editline]31st March 2011[/editline]
do it
Just had a though, wouldnt it be nice if they remade vanishing point, but without changing anything but the cast and the cars?
I mean you cant go wrong with the same script just with a 11' srt8 challenger instead of a 70' r/t
amiright?

I think they should remake Vanishing Point once for every generation of challenger.
