Anyways, decided this week I'm going to swap my STD 4spd for an HF 5spd, non-ca with the 2.95 FD.
Did some gear calculating, in my STD 4spd (which is geared like the HF tranny with 5th gear removed and then DX final drive) I can hit 34MPH in 1st gear at 6000 RPM (6250 is my limiter) with my size tires, and goes on to make a top speed of 133 (if I had the power lol).
With the HF tranny, first brings me to 44.7MPH now. And, if I ever had the power to do it (ha!), the top speed at 6000RPM in 5th gear with the HF tranny... is 206.
Sorry for the random number crunching. I felt mathy, decided to figure out a formula for figuring out the maximum speed in every gear. I was dreading the HF tranny swap because of the bluh gearing, but I'm sure my wallet will thank me when I'm saving some gas money, and it'll be less of a droning hum at highway speeds. Methinks 60MPH is somewhere around 2500 RPM, which is much better than the ~3500RPM it is now. Going 75MPH with this 4-speed is dreadful, and probably chews through gas.
Also, my friend could not believe that I can get over 30MPG while driving the piss out of my civic. I can't get him to understand that driving the shit out of a car that got 40+ MPG in the first place won't somehow magically make you lose over 10MPG. If it does, something is [i]broken[/i].
I mean, I could see if you lagged your gear changes alot (drove lots at high RPM etc.) but if you just balls-to-the-wall WOT from dead stops and lose 10+MPG at the next fill-up.... Yeah, something is broken.

I bought a PS3 only because of GT5. Don't waste your money, it's boring. I still play Forza 3 alot

Also GT2 was still the best. I need to grab an emulator and GT2... Also want to get GT3/4, I forget which one but one has the Honda Z600 in it. Not sure if my computer can handle a PS2 emulator.
Actually I'm sure it can. If 3GHz of Core 2 Duo with 3GB RAM and an HD 4850 can't play PS2 games, I don't know what will.

I'd love to do some track days but don't wanna risk taking the Lude as it's my daily and I don't have the cash for a car as a track slag. If only I had some more cash reliable mates so we could all chip in for a track car...
Only track I take my car to is the quarter mile. I wouldn't do autocross with something I plan on driving home. Knowing my luck something would snap off, heh. My car came from cold Canadian winters and saw lots of snow in its days (spent a lot of it's youth in Alaska), I haven't got around to replacing ANYTHING suspension-wise since I've owned it (too busy on the rest), so I don't trust it nearly enough.
