i was on my way to the landfill to recycle newspapers when this dude was doing like 40 in a 50 so i passed him and then a few miles down the road i pulled into the recycle place and then he pulls in like a minute later and starts yelling gibberish at me so i was like whateva. he left and he pulled over on the side of the road and as i left i passed him and i saw he was on the phone. then when i was almost home a cop pulled me over and he said they got a call that i was being reckless or something and i told him the dude was doing 40 when i passed him so the cop was like oh lol and he let me go
A friend of mine hit a cat over the weekend, now may have found himself with a major vet bill. Apparently wasn't speeding but a black cat darted from under a van and he didn't even have time to get on the brakes. The cat was still alive when he hit it, no collar and after knocking on a few doors nobody knew the owner. He did the right thing and took it to the vets. There's no microchip either so they're doing whatever they have to do to bring this cat back round but it looks like the vet bill is ramping up pretty quickly. They haven't mentioned anything to him about paying the bill yet but as he's the one who took the cat it's pretty likely he's going to have to foot the bill, which could be hundreds or even thousands depending on how long the cat is there. He's stuck a few posters up around where he hit it but so far nobody has called.
I told him one option was to put the cat down, but even that costs £120 on top of whatever is still outstanding to pay so we're stuck about where to go. He's waiting on a call back from the RSPCA about it, and he's trying to see if there are any charities who help out in this case but it's not looking likely. What's the best bet in this situation? The vets already have his contact details and address so he can't do a runner from it.
I told him to reverse next time to save the hassle!
But on a serious note, he's pretty down about the whole thing and doesn't have that kinda cash which he can spend on a random cat.
do a burnout on its head

He ran over a possibly feral cat, he is doing the world a favour
He ran over a possibly feral cat, he is doing the world a favour
That's not the problem. It's the vet bill for a cat that's not even his that he's probably going to be landed with that's the problem.
If anyone wants a free cat, let me know.
Im sure there are financing options available so he doesnt have to pay it in one lump sum

you're sick; the cat might still live after you hit it. imagine you being hit by a car and not being able to move

One time I was driving home with my sister and I accidentally ran over something in the middle of the road. My sister was like "OHMG WAS THAT A POOR BUNNY?" and all I could do was laugh for like 5 minutes. When I stopped laughing I was like "No, it was a frog".
:frog:
I roughly calculated the mpg of the Jeep and it turns out to be about 18
Not that bad actually, better than expected :v:
and that's for small drives like from home to the store and back (about 6 - 7 kmtotal)
Whaaaa? What year and engine do you have? I have a 94 Cherokee with a straight 6 4.0 and I get 12 mpg. I actually calculated it, it was like 11.7 to be exact.

88 with the same engine as yours :geno:
you should maybe service it a bit
well I haven't calculated it from my jeep but that's about what it's supposed to if I drive it nicely
18. Huh that just seems ridiculous to me. It's an older truck, made of iron and metal with a pretty decent sized engine in it, also of cast iron. The engine is fine, I know that. I mean I should probably flush the radiator system but that wouldn't cause low mpgs.
Huh, I really don't know. I have new oil, tires are getting worn but again, wouldn't cause that.
Took a t3 turbo i had laying on the patio and dusted off all the cobwebs, sheared off half the bolts holding the turbo elbow on but finally got all the extra shit off to see how it looks on me manifold

not big enough lol
Is that T3 any good?
And which one is it, to be exact.
i think it's from an 80's t-bird or something.
i have no intention whatsoever of running this turbo, i just put it on to see how the manifold looks with a turbo on it.
Ah. Is it still good? I might be interested in it.
It looks like it was cast out of a jello mold by a 6 year old.
You know those days when you are just stressed to the max, and then you go for a nice relaxing drive for an hour or so? I just had one of these days.
Driving helps me relax so much.

My cat is untagged, but she's an indoor cat. If she ever got loose and someone ran her over and did nothing, I'd be devastated. She feels like a child to me. You know how people say their pets are family? Yeah.
My cats are freaking huge, they throw around my moms dog like nothing. The dog's a fatty Half Chihuahua Half Wiener dog.

well like i mean im not a cat person, sure i seem like an asshole but i feel no emotion towards cats
more of a 'dog' gui.
I just drove on public roads for the first time. I drove from Woodbridge to Stafford, VA. My father and stepmother were very surprised by my driving and my calmness behind the wheel. I got to drive a 2004 Ford pickup and a 2010 Toyota Corolla on a few highways and country backroads.
My only faults, apparently, were I overcompensated with my left turns and I didn't stop for one stop sign, which I didn't see.
You get much much much much better the more you drive.

I drove on some backwoods-ass road the other day. I think I saw some axe murderer in a rotting house in a forest. But yeah, it sucks when you're on a curvy road that is around six feet wide and some pickup with a trailer has the come the other way.

If you have a dog, how would you feel if you woke up in the morning and it was on the road opened up from a car slamming into it? It's organs everywhere and yet it was somehow alive but in loads of pain, whimpering, dog crying. You'd feel like shit and want to kill whoever did that. Now imagine a cat owner seeing the same thing. Now I hate dogs, especially small useless ones that can't defend you. But if I ever hit one, I'd stop and check that it's fine and if it isn't I'd bring it to somewhere that can help it or put it out of it's misery. I have around 700 set away for my cat in case something happens to her, but I'd use it for that animal since my cat isn't likely to get hurt.
I'm between:
S13 or S14
650CSi from the 80s
Supra for a low price (including the older MKIII)
i dun know
