It'd also be very fun in a shallow swamp, or in the mountains. New Mexico then, it has desert and mountains.
What auto value things are there other than the Blue/Black Books and NADA?
Some bitch slammed into my Buick I bought last month and there's like a 95% the insurance company is going to total it out.

Oh no! The supah charged grandpa car? That sucks ass dude. :frown:
I'll get pics tomorrow for you.
The only ones I have right now are cell phone pics.
But yeah, I can't even open the passenger door anymore.
I got stuck in traffic today coming home from seeing my brother in the Hospital for nearly an hour of bumper to bumper stop and go traffic. My car damn near over heated, apparently my radiator fan Does not work. I did however see a sweet ass Skyline. I think it was an R33.
Actually holy shit. I'm pretty sure it was this one, or a very very very good copy.

Cool beans.
[editline]22nd April 2011[/editline]
What. The article says it's in Japan. The car I saw is either that Skyline or a Carbon copy, right down to all the stickers.
If you're car decelerates pretty quickly and just feels sluggish in general, it's overheated right?
Also would flushing your radiator system help anything?
Well, does your car have a Temp gauge, and is it on the H? :v: My check engine light eventually came on, but right when the traffic started to move. I'm not really sure what happens when a car overheats, other than stalling ect., as mine only overheats when I sit for too long with my engine running.
You blow your head gasket when it overheats.
You blow your head gasket when it overheats.
Hot enough, and you can also risk cracking the head, block, busting the waterpump or at least ruining the bearing in it, popping rad hoses, weakening rad hoses, scoring cylinder walls, burning piston rings, burning oil...
There is a lot of stuff that can go wrong if your engine overheats.
Completely unrelated to cars, but I finished reading Del's post... finally decided to go to bed. I went to set my laptop on the floor when I noticed there was an ocean full of water flowing in from my basement door. My dog was sleeping soundly on her bed that was nearly floating in the water. You shoulda seen the pool that was coming from my overflowing cistern, across the porch, down the stairs, into my basement. FUCK. RAIN.
4:00 in the morning, haven't gone to bed yet, more rain on the way. Sounds good.
Civic Hatch worth being a first car?
Probably going with an Ek, pretty sure the back has enough room for my bike, and I can get a roofrack for more.
They are great, just keep your routine maintenance up and expect close to ~400k out of one before major problems. Just make sure you don't get one that has been beat on hard, or riced up, and stay away from swaps unless everything was done right.
EF (88-91) and EK (96-00) have the most trunk space and the biggest opening to cram stuff in, with EF being the biggest, EK second, and EG (92-95) being the smallest as far as cargo space and opening.
The problem with loading stuff in the back of an EG hatch is that it isn't a proper hatchback, but more like a small SUV or van, with the glass opening up and then the bottom part of the hatch, the tailgate, lowering down. It really makes it hard to cram stuff in there. Just ask Japfeiffer about that time we took a computer chair from a thrift store and crammed it in his. It took us a little while. It fit, but only just.
I'm sure it would have slid right in my EF.
Also, my bike fits perfectly fine in the back of my EF hatch. A bit cramped in the back of a CRX, and I'm almost sure it wouldn't fit in an EG without bumping someone in the head in the front seat. Not sure about an EK but I'll assume a bike might fit in one. I've never tried.
Anyways, good luck. Civics are dependable and super reliable. Not the safest cars, but generally if you don't drive like a fucking idiot then crashes aren't really an everyday occurrence. I've been driving for going on ~5 years now and I've never so much as bumped into someone, never put a scratch on any of my cars by my own doing. Only time I've ever had any damage is when a huge tow truck hit my Civic in a wal-mart parking lot, one fender later and the corner light (it broke the lens on mine) and it's good as new.

Clean Grand Am. Doesn't make it any prettier, but at least it's not beat.
I like the previous body style squared tail lights. No maybe it's not the Grand Am. It might be the Grand Prix's tail lights then. They're pretty cool looking, but I can't find a picture of one.

Why GM? Why did you have to kill off Pontiac when they made cars like this in the past?

Nope, I have two gauges. Gas and speed. Thats it.
My CRX used to overheat when I sat in traffic a lot. I eventually wired a switch to turn the radiator fan on manually.
The wire harness for my radiator fan isn't getting a connection, so I have to go get a new harness off a Junk yard car. Someone wired it straight to the alternator though. :geno:

Crap, well if you think it's overheating, then pull over and pop the hood. If it's giving off quite a bit of heat, well you've got your answer. Might as well do a flush anyways though. Might do mine next paycheck actually.
