yea but thats a front wheel drive, and the 75 has rwd thats mostly my reason for buying a 75 in stead of the 155, plus the great handling because of the gearbox in the rear

Thinking about getting rid of my '88 Lancer... It's really nice and I know I won't get my money out of it but I really want to put money into another car. My civic is pretty much my DD beater now and I want another car to play with, preferably something foreign and RWD. Maybe a 240. I'd really like a 240 coupe. Or a Datsun 510. I dunno... I can't really think of what to do right now.

As cheap, no. But as much time....... The lancer is completely stock, and since it's the 4G15/2BBL/auto it's pretty much the WORST thing for a swap. That means I have to run a complete wiring harness since it doesn't have one right now (just the ignition wiring and general stuff, no computer in the car at all) and find an '88 Mirage/Colt/Lancer clutch pedal setup and convert to standard transmission. I can't use any other year range or car's pedal setup because it's different. This year range (ending in 88, how inconvenient!) has all of the actual hardware (brake booster/master cylinder and the attachment for the clutch cable, or rather, where that would be) on the right-hand side of the car, and any other car in Mitsubishi's range of any other year range is LHD/LH-side everything. So pretty much I swap it (which will take a lot of time for wiring and mounts) and keep it auto. And then a little down the line I replace the transmission when it explodes in my face. :|

I didn't know my brothers SUV had a semi-auto gear box. It's not flappy paddle, but you push the thing forward to shift up, and back to shift down. Damn brother for wrecking his Yaris with a slight BAC and getting it for free. I was going to buy it off my dad.

Yeah, that's pretty much the 'usual' automatic now. They have a 'D' mode ot the right and the 'auto-stick' mode to the left on the bottom of the selector.

They never tend to work. The upshifts are nice and smooth but try shifting down and there's a bit of a pause and a massive jolt as the car changes. The newer gearboxes like VW's DSG and other similar dual driveshaft boxes have cracked the problem and changed down instantly without throwing you into the steering wheel but autoboxes before that were pretty shite.

Well'p being evicted again. Personally, I don't think this place was even worth how much we were paying for it a month (750). It has mold in the air vents, rotting wood under the stairs, uneven walling and flooring, the doors don't close properly, the insulation is nonexistent. It also has mice. Several health problems on which we've notified him. Nothing done about it. I felt like posting this here because I can.
