[QUOTE=Roflnocerous;29624820]I recognize all of this, but I can chip a 1.8T to make the same power as the 2.7T stock, and get 24mpg around town with AWD. and 32+ highway.[/QUOTE]
but with a S4 you can throw on some K04's or w/e, and have like 500awhp or something like that
So my turbo decided to start leaking oil everywhere. Mechanic told me that in the worst case it could spill oil into the intake and kill the engine. Replacement costs 1000€ upwards (goddamnit Volvo). What do?

Seriously doubt you'd kill the engine with oil, it will just make everything nasty in there. The real worst case is that the bearings get so bad causing the compressor to start rubbing against the housing in there and then explode into pieces sending metal shrapnel into your engine.

This is stage 1 2.7T V6 versus stock

Stage 1 1.8T versus stock

Tune + replacing the stock crappy diverter valves and a few things like that gets me to about the same power level as the 2.7T, but I can also get 27-29mpg easily if I keep my foot out of it.
Also FUCKKKKKKKK the 2.7T gets 20 city in the real world. FUCK AUDI STOP MAKING ME SO INDECISIVE

[QUOTE=lemon_lover;29654010]oh it was an a4? I thought you said s4[/QUOTE]
It was, but then I decided that I didn't want the 2.7T V6 that I couldn't even put exhaust on without pulling the motor. There was a sexy ass A4 with S4 steering wheel and a bunch of weird stuff like that, but it got sold before I could get to it =/

Dat dere is some classic Amurican design I tell ya what.
It's like a smaller version of a semi truck
Today, I found out that I can do a Scandinavian Flick on a gravel road in the Volkswagen. I also found out that Bilstein shocks are going to be my first all-terrain purchase, instead of tires. Those stock shocks just aren't made for bouncing around corners and sliding around bumpy gravel roads.

By the trend of things an extra gas tank.
Also disappointed with that thing, I mean it is a huge truck meant to tow large trailers, why not a v8.

you do realize almost every semi on the road uses a six cylinder engine right
[editline]6th May 2011[/editline]
in other news, fucking turbos are like cell phones, there's always a "better" one rumored to be released soon, and then once you buy one because you're tired of waiting, the next week a new turbo that makes your's look totally obsolete is released

6.7L Straight six > 6.4L V8
[editline]6th May 2011[/editline]
800 LB/Ft of torque too
Just got a car lift in our garage, it's huge, one of the "top of the line" models meant for work on semis. Finished building it today, thank god for having a crane to help build it. The coronet should be going in anytime soon now.
Just curious, maybe someone can give me some advice. I have a 2000 Mercury Sable with some bad transmission problems. From what I've been reading it sounds like the transmission is slipping. The transmission fluid isn't exactly cherry red, but its not brown either. I got the car last year, and it was slipping in first gear a little bit, but it wasn't too bad, but its gotten progressively worse since then.
What happens is, when accelerating from low speeds 0-30, at random the car will lose all power and refuse to shift, so I end up hitting at 3000+ RPM and going nowhere unless I floor it, and then I end up with a huge speed surge and the entire car jolts forward which makes driving in rush hour traffic hazardous. When in 2nd gear, the entire car will often start to shake with little acceleration and little power, even though I'm flooring it.
Any pointers? The check engine light has been on, but I've passed it off as the fuel cap, as it will often cause it to go off if it is not properly secured.
Go to autozone and have them run the CEL check, it's free.
Also sounds like you've burnt up the wet clutches in that tranny. You may need to replace the transmission soon.
[editline]7th May 2011[/editline]
I can say do a tranny flush with a filter change and see what happens but that's not too cheap and may not do anything.
