Just got a car lift in our garage, it's huge, one of the "top of the line" models meant for work on semis. Finished building it today, thank god for having a crane to help build it. The coronet should be going in anytime soon now.
lifts are amazing, i'm happy for you <3
Was out at Milan Dragstrip for the high school nationals today. Was pretty nice, some cool cars and some really really shitty cars.
Won $1000 scholarship for Hot Rodders of Tomorrow engine build contest last week

Cut some trees down so my mom would stop bitching about the sap on her car down home

Oh and i was wiping some shit off of my back lights on my car and then the cover for the reversing light popped off
p cool.
My car just has one big bar that's held on by some twistie things in my trunk.
you do realize almost every semi on the road uses a six cylinder engine right
[editline]6th May 2011[/editline]
in other news, fucking turbos are like cell phones, there's always a "better" one rumored to be released soon, and then once you buy one because you're tired of waiting, the next week a new turbo that makes your's look totally obsolete is released
I realize that but aren't they usually much larger liter wise?
Much bigger. I know some of the Caterpillar's are like 15L.
[editline]8th May 2011[/editline]
Usually they're in the 10-15 range
This manuals fricken awesome. even if you dont have or plan to have an aem ems, this is still full of information for anybody with a fuel injected engine.

I think I actually need a truck now. I haul stuff around in the X5 for gigs, etc. It's starting to become impossible to take everything in one trip.
So I'm looking at 80s and 70s trucks right now. I love them
A family friend is going to pick up a 67 cuda in Detroit tomorrow for 5900, used to be 6500 but they nocked it down. It's going to their 15 year old daughter, and trust me, it's a good home it's going to.
I did some digging and I found the ad. It's a really good deal for what you get, though I would prefer the fastback model like I have.

Next Sunday I'm going to the oval track to race around with them, would be interesting since I've been driving the rampage around the field.
If it was the previous generation I'd ask if they want to buy this '66 Formula S front end and doors I have. They're sitting here collecting moss in my back 10 acres and I have nothing to use them on. My dad had a '65 Barracuda slant 6/auto car that he sold and a '66 Barracuda factory 273 car with a 3 speed that he also sold with it, and they never took the Formula S front end or the extra doors.
We have so many fucking cuda parts it not funny.
We have this bad motherfucker:
My grandpa has 3 fucking barracudas, all the same generation. And at our home we have a barracuda that was hit on the side with mint interrior parts. And for parts not in car we have FUCKING 2 of everything. Fuck.
/swears
ooooh barracuda
ooooh barracuda
And yes gentlemen and gentlemen, there is even a fucking song about these magnificent beasts.

Wasn't a big Cuda fan. Was always more of a Challenger guy.
[editline]8th May 2011[/editline]
Specifically the '70 T/A, 340 six pack. IIRC the Barracuda never offered the 340/6 pack as an option, and it was only the one year for the Challenger.
[editline]8th May 2011[/editline]
Oh wow, apparently there was a "T/A" styled 'Cuda with the 340/6. Nice!

Dat dere is some classic Amurican design I tell ya what.
It's a good idea to make the car half as long as the entire country, then you don't have to to travel so long in it!
I have been driving my Jeep today with the new radiator installed
the radiator was actually the wrong type since one plug is reversed on some of them for some reason but my dad managed to make it fit
so what it needs now until I can drive it every day is an exhaust system and new headlining (we've taken out the old one so there's not much interior left in it and we're not refitting the interior before we get another headlining)
Well, you don't exactly need a Headliner, or an Interior.
[editline]8th May 2011[/editline]
Especially in a Jeep.
hey guys check out this mad tyte Impreza WRX that is in my backyard

Man, I really need to fix my camera so I don't have to use my cell phone
The back 10 acres was once a salvage and is now just mine and my dad's playground for racecars and projects. At one point it had upwards of 300 cars in there, mostly domestic stuff but I've had a lot of DSMs back there myself.
