So I pretty much just need a Master cylinder. I should be able to do it, I just gotta find one somewhere fast and get it on cause I have the car stored 90 miles from where I bought it. I found some nice people that let me store in out back. Think any auto store will have it in stock or should I order from Honda? Also The car has a b18b1 swap but I'm not sure on the transmission. Can I still get a clutch Master Cylinder from the original car or do I have to get one according to the transmission? My friend brought this up and said I have to get one according to the transmission.
Should be able to get one for the car, they're all the same across the EG platform and the Integra as far as I remember. We replaced Jap's with an Autozone one, Duralast part, it works perfectly. No need to order from Honda, it'll cost you more that way and you will have to wait for the part. Autozone generally keeps them in stock or at their hub store in the area, which you can purchase at your store and they will bring it over in their morning run so it's usually there to pick up at 8:30 the next day.
Really a great store, but you have to know what part you are looking for exactly and TELL THEM you know, otherwise they will act like the ASE-certified bottle-fed mechanic they are and try to get you something completely wrong.
my mom thinks i will have shitloads of trouble changing the oil in my aunts 94(?) civic sedan
is she dumb or is the drain plug like inside of a diamond ball or something
Drain plug is on the back of the hump on the pan, it's an easy job. Just let her drain out and put the plug back in, filter is right on the block on the backside of the motor, easy-ish to get a filter wrench on if you have to, but you should never have to use more than hand's strength to get one off.
Oil filter/drain bolt location is generally the same across all D-series Civics, i.e. 88-91, 92-95, 96-00 and I think certain models up to 2004.
well thanks man.
Thanks for the info Bradley. I got one at pepboys for $60. My brother and I plan on driving down tomorrow and hopefully to bring her home.
Good luck, I hope it goes well. Just remember the procedure for bleeding it, it's going to stick to the floor at first because there is only fluid in the line and it isn't under pressure, so once you've pumped the air out and tightened the fitting back up, fill the master cylinder's canister back up and pump it again, after the first few pumps, sometimes the first one, the pedal will no longer stick to the floor (as it has introduced more fluid to the system and it is now under pressure) and the clutch should operate normally.
I had to race in Jap's Civic with the master cylinder failing, the clutch was either off or on, it was a really interesting feel. I knew the clutch wasn't bad, because it was all grab, but it felt wrong. Next day we were up under his dash and noticed clutch fluid pouring down the firewall, it had a blown seal and was pushing fluid out of it.
By the way, your clutch master cylinder would have been less than $30 at Autozone or O'Reillys, with O'Reillys giving a 1-year warranty as well. These are both new parts, not remanufactured. You got screwed for about $30. Pepboys is overpriced.
Just been having a discussion on the Prelude forums about posting your speeding offences. Some bloke posted the fact he did 150mph down his local motorway and everyone kicked up a fuss asking him to edit it due to the fact police could monitor the forums and prosecute him. Now fair enough, you have to be an idiot to state you did that kind of speed on a public road on a motoring forum but surely they'd never actually get the case to court, too many variables?
His account could have been compromised, someone else posted that comment. They have no date or time of the supposed offence, no actual speed recorded or he could have just been plain lying. Someone came back saying they'd seen someone convicted before but it sounds like internet stories, what do you make of it?
Almost always false. They need to prove they did it and a "confession" isn't enough. Although it wouldn't surprise me if someone was convicted for something like this in Australia.
At worst I could see the police getting in touch and giving them a bit of a bollocking but no way could they ever take any proper action over it. It's like walking into a police station and saying "I stole something but I'm not going to tell you what, when or where plus there's no actual evidence..." Then getting arrested for theft.
Especially with the whole innocent until proven guilty system, no proof to say one's guilty or not guilty.

Generally if Autozone doesn't have it in stock they can get it by ~8:30 the following morning.

Not only does this mean motherfucker have every single option I want on a jeep, but it also has a kick ass description and price, though id rather 2500. Great deal either way, going to look into buying this one over the other as it's in much better condition.

awesome intake
Finally got her home! I was worried that the car was gonna overheat because for some reason the dam Radiator fan wouldn't come on. I checked the fuses and wiring and couldn't find anything. Probably gonna swap out the fan from my other civic. Got a nice project ahead of me.
I always wire mine into the main so that it comes on with the key. It doesn't affect the performance at all, and at least you know it will ALWAYS keep cool.
Has anyone here every installed a cigarette lighter in their car or a key less entry system before? I'm looking for both of these for my 1994 Buick Skylark Custom Edition. i don't know what to get or what's good to get and won't break in a few weeks.
I need a little help deciding to get this car. Its a 07' Mitsubishi Eclipse GS
As far as I could tell every thing worked on it, it only has 96k Miles. And the engine was rebuild 48k miles ago story was that some one parked it in some deep mud or some shit and is fucked over the engine.
Tires - Well rounded and has praticly to tread left on it.
Transmission - Shift's fine all seamed normal.
Inside - Full of shit... papers, trash galore and dirt in the floor board, very nasty looking dash. But looks like it will clean well and no damages to any thing.
Body - Few scratches and 1 dent nothing to bad at all. And a missing "skid" plate for the front bumper.

So facepunch Would it be chancing if I baught it? Due to the "parking in mud" fact.
Asking price is still unknown but should be around 3-5k. Also what would be a good price to get it for?
Edit : Fucking large ass photo's.
Anyone know any places where I can rent out a garage like a storage place? I highly doubt there is but I need a place so I can do a motor swap.
why the fuck
do people buy V6 challengers
and then look like so fucking smug like they have a good car
fucking aaaaaaaa
no idea why this pisses me off so much :/

Deep Mud = Flood Waters. You wouldn't be able to tell until it's too late. But you could check by pinching a wire. Wires that were wet become brittle. That, or a Carfax.

Thanks for the tip I will go look at it more extensively tomorrow any thing else I need to be looking for other thin brittle wire's?
Check alot of the underside for rust, maybe even lift up the carpet to see how bad it is there. How recently was it put in the mud?
Check alot of the underside for rust, maybe even lift up the carpet to see how bad it is there. How recently was it put in the mud?
Apparently It sat in the mud for a month, but recently has been resurrected about 2 month's ago.
And those 2 Month's it has been driven. And When I went to go look at it, I crawled under it to just poke around. What I found was a shit ton of mud maybe tomorrow I will take more pictures of it and let you see how extensive it is. But as you sayed Lifting the floor boards, I did that and only thing I found was more trash no mold no mud, just trash... Does't even have a moldy smell to it.
