I can buy it now for that, but if you're willing to wait, I'll do $150.

One last question though, is this based on a Marui or a clone of a Marui?

The base I made this off of was already customised- I believe it was a clone, but literally everything but the magazine release and like 2 small parts was replaced.

WHO carries a pistol without the mag in or a bullet in the chamber!!!!!??!!!11!1!
A sane person.
A sane person.
Or people who want to die?

Anyone who's carrying a rifle and isn't going to do some stupid CoD-style transition where they drop the rifle and immediately pull out a pistol and start popping headshots. You keep the magazine and the handgun separate for safety, so you're not running with a loaded gun in your holster where it could potentially go off and injure you.

You still run the risk of losing the magazine if you're doing a lot of running with it.
not if you're running a SERPA!!
i had my handgun in my holster with the mag in, (just hammer down and clear chamber) for the entire day last event, had no problems
I run my pistol chamber loaded and hammer down, feels cool cocking back the hammer before shooting.
i'm a badass and i just rack the slide against the side of my serpa
feel like a boss

I haven't heard of anything like this at all. AFAIK, there are a ton of firearms instructors with good reps that train people to have the mag in the handgun even when holstered. Modern handguns like GLOCKs, M&P, sig, etc have drop safeties. I think if your gun is going off in your holster on its own, then you've got a hardware problem. Most of the time you read about someone's gun going off on its own, it's either a negligent discharge and the person won't admit it, or it's a cheap piece of shit jennings.
[editline]14th January 2012[/editline]
losing a mag isn't a problem with a good kydex or plastic holster
Condition 2 carry is often considered more dangerous than Condition 1 (on external hammer pistols), however, Condition 1 should really only be observed in a very high danger area.

Good for you, it worked for a few hours. Try it 18 hours a day for weeks or months at a time and you may see why it's a concern for actual military personnel.

Read what I wrote: It's when you're carrying a rifle and the pistol is strictly a sidearm. If a handgun is your sole weapon, it is reasonable to keep it loaded. But I know a number of military guys who always keep their handguns empty with the magazines easily-accessible. It's still usable if the primary goes down but there's no risk of losing a magazine or accidental discharge.

airsoft != real full time military personnel
just wanna be clear that we're talking about airsoft here, you know
Honestly, if you're deployed I don't see why you'd at the very least keep the magazine in the gun. You can leave it out of the tube and everything, but taking the actual mag out seems like a silly thing to do if you know you're in a dangerous area and could very well need it.
I run my pistol chamber loaded and hammer down, feels cool cocking back the hammer before shooting.
Mag in, chambered, hammer cocked, manually safety engaged.
But that's airsoft. I would be very sketched out doing that with a RS gun.
ALSO: OP, someone on airsoftforum.com is looking for a Glock 17, in the WTB subforum.
it's been a while since i have been in the airsoft forum (before i started this thread). Is EVERY thread basically chat? (just wondering, not asking you to stop, i don't mind)
Not supposed to be, moving to daily life thread.

Unfortunately there's a whole lotta bullshit in the airsoft subforum. To anyone who doesn't agree, go to the "post your loadout" thread, and observe how someone only actually posts a loadout about once every four pages. I'm not sure why this subforum is like this, I tried to post something relevant in this thread.

I actually did, in fact, although I really do appreciate the condescending tone. Either way, in a good kydex/polymer holster like a Safariland, there's pretty much no way to drop the mag accidentally, it doesn't deform easily and the magazine release is protected. Your handgun shouldn't be going off on its own, if that's happening, it's fucking broken in the worst way, fix it, don't just unload it.
I still can't see a reason why not to have the gun loaded. Yeah, military personnel don't always need their sidearm to be quick to use, but why the fuck not load it?
But of course, this guy obviously doesn't know what he's doing:
