:gizz:
Endgame is now on spotify, it's pretty fucking badass.
44 minutes is playing right now.
:iia:
I'd forgotten how good SFSGSW is.
Only song I heard was Anarchy in the U.K. cover, but I played as Eddie on Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4.

Not their best.
But it's a good cover.

I'd forgotten how good it was though, hadn't listened to it in ages.
I did a presentation on Megadeth last year, talking about their first handful of albums, and I'll tell you, until they started giving the albums short names (starting with Rust in Peace), pronouncing their names was a bitch.
"Killing is my Business... and Business is Good was Megadeth's debut album, released in May of 1985. The band was given $8,000 to record Killing is my Business... and Business is Good, but after spending about half of the money on drugs, alcohol, and food, the band were forced to fire their producer and produce the album by themselves. Despite the poor production quality, Killing is my Business... and Business is Good was released with generally positive reception and was a solid debut."
Don't even get me started on So Far, So Good... So What!.
*shudder*

You could have just abbreviated "Killing is my Business... and Business is Good" to "Killing is my Business" and "So Far, So Good... So What?" to "So Far, So Good"
I'm doing a Powerpoint presentation on Megadeth for my Higher Info Systems class, needs to be fancy as hell to pass :v:
SFSGSW was the most terrible in production quality album I have ever heard in my life, well, not really... but it's pretty bad. Even when swapped to Cd it still sounded terrible.
I take it you never heard the original releases of Killing Is My Business then.

My favourite Megadeth album...

Gee, I couldn't tell
Really though, I fucking love Into The Lungs of Hell.
Fucking AWESOME song.
I like alot of Megadeth songs, but that's one that REALLY stands out to me.

I couldn't really decide on a favourite before, they were all so awesome. I just kinda go through phases where each album is my favourite. Right now, obviously, it's Endgame.
Love Dialectic Chaos.
And 44 minutes has an amazing chorus.
They're all awesome
I MUST get my step dad to play Dialectic Chaos.
Would be badass

Whatever version was on tape, that's what I had. The Cd is obviously remastered, but the only thing added was the bass drum reprocussions and cleaner vocals. SFSGSW is remastered, and STILL sounds like crap.
Admittedly, after listening to Endgame today, then switching to SFSGSW!, it was easy to tell the difference in production quality. But you can't hate an album purely because of the production quality, you have to take the music itself into account.

Yeah.
If you hated an album because it had poor production quality, black metal as a genre wouldn't exist.
:colbert:
FINALLY! My Endgame arrived, listening to it right now. Amazing!
I fucking love Dawn Patrol, along with the rest of Rust In Peace, but especially Dawn Patrol...
"Thermal count is rising
In perpetual writhing
The primordial ooze
And the sanity they lose
Awakened in the morning
To more air pollution warnings
Still we sleepwalk off to work
While our nervous systems jerk
Pretending not to notice
How history had forebode us
With the green house in effect
Our environment was wrecked
Now I can only laugh
As I read our epitaph
We end our lives as moles
In the dark of dawn patrol"
I'd hope so considering your band is covering it :D
I want to hear this when it's done TimeBomb.

Oh, and I'm uploading Endgame to YouTube. Best quality possible, and with lyrics in the description.

I'm not using lyric sites for these, I'm typing them myself from the lyric book, so they're 100% accurate, unless I made a spelling mistake or something :v:

I need to confess, I usually skip it if I'm short on time so that I can get to the awesomeness of Polaris.
I'm a disgrace.
The new site design is badass.

It's easily the weakest song on the album.
But it was made to have meaning, not the have a bad ass sound.

But it managed to achieve both a badass sound and a meaning.

I think I'm willing to forgive /mu/ for letting an Endgame thread 404 now.
Megadeth is probably one of the only bands left that is just as, if not more badass then they were originally. I was pleasantly surprised with this album.

True.

Also one of the only bands that can sound like themselves even though the roster is changed all the time. Usually when bands do that, everyone gets turned off and stops listening to them. Mustaine deserves credit for being able to re-create Megadeth all the time.
