Well,we dont really do that realistic.
Personally,theyre really good.
If you dont like them, why not do them yourself 0.o
Its fine by our standards, theres nothing wrong except realism.

So does the tank look better now?
Spartan, what i think is that you keep turret like it was(maybe a little less round)
And change the back of it.

I can understand that. And I'm already in the progress. But it's not a question of doing-it-myself-if-I-don't-like them, it's common C&C. He wanted opinions, I told him mine.
It bit me hard because it would be like tank houses rolling down the battle field.

So, which tank?
3rd
2nd.
Barrel on the 3rd is to large for me
A little update on my own army.
Anyone know any nice extension for addons on vehicles? So far I've only got an MBT, an APC/AFV and an AA addon on the APC/AFV.

Arctic Men with guns? :v:
And Satyria, shade them and they will look great!

So, hows no.4, any better?

But they are shaded.

Hmm, all of them works honestly, but it'd be easier to say if you used a reference or something. The WWII over all looks for german tanks was wide, but they all work fine.

The tanks are definately not shaded.

I'm not quite sure what you mean. In terms of how the light falls on them? Moreover, the tanks uses a total of eight different shades of the same color.
It's not noticable enough then. Also, outlines don't really seem to suit those vehicles.

I took some inspiration for my tanks from the German heavy tank, the Tiger II.

Strength and brightness varies. But things like the wheels consists of four shades. The barrel's four aswell. The colors on the front of the turret's top and underneath it are actually breaking. I'll keep outlines until I come up with a better looking compensation.
One sec, I'll upload a zoom-in.

Also nice choice on the King Tiger there. The best (conceptual) tank ever used during WWII.
The tiger 2,eh?
Also known as the king tiger....

The main body has no shading whatsoever.
A sprite does not need shading to be good, I think it looks fine without it.
The main body has no shading whatsoever.
Yeah I suspected you'd say this eventually. The side is flat and the tank doesn't really have any round or plastic shapes. Hence no availability for shading.
I'm sorry for not doing what you tell me, but it's inspired from a real tank and your definition of "shading" is inaccurate. You're getting on my nerves.
I was just pointing out that it would look better with shading - realistic or not.

The Panther was actually the best "bang for your buck" tank during WWII, not only did it possess the strength of a sloped armor, it was also quite agile considering that it was a heavy tank, and held the 88mm cannon that made the Tiger Tank so good.
The Panther was actually the best "bang for your buck" tank during WWII, not only did it possess the strength of a sloped armor, it was also quite agile considering that it was a heavy tank, and held the 88mm cannon that made the Tiger Tank so good.
The King Tiger was a Panther and a Tiger fused into one, basically.
If I were to chose, I'd go for the King Tiger. The Panther was indeed faster and all, but the Tiger had more armor. This means the Panther drank less fuel and could travel further. But it's not reason enough for a decision: the Panther was well over-engineered. It had so many parts it would often break down several times before even reaching the battle field. I'm not saying the King Tiger didn't, but they had a greater foresight about the problem since the Panther had been in service for so long, so they could do something about it in the later PzKpfw model, the King Tiger.
And I don't know about that "Bang for your Buck" much, it was one of the more expensive models, and it took a long time to produce compared to other tanks during WWII, such as the much simpler Tiger I which was produced simultaneously, or the T-34 which was considered metal welded together on wheels.
Then again the Panther V is fucking sexy.
I think what Gregah is saying, is that the Panther was better because like he said, it was "more band for your buck" obviously anybody would pick the King Tiger, but they cost loads to make etc, and if they were brought down to a Panther's level, the panther would be better. Like the T-34 was supposedly the best tank of WW2, because of its good points of what it is and that it was mass produced, they aren't saying that it was the best, no flaws, could beat anything, it was just good for what it was. Also your comparing a heavy tank to a King Tiger, come on, those things are obviously going to be better.

Also, in response to this, It doesn't have to be smack bang on, as long as it looks like a general T-34/IS-2 does it really matter? Admittedly I think the IS-2 does look a little big. But before you say "That looks nothing like a T-34 Blah blah blah" Well, you are the first to complain, so therefore it has to at least resemble a T-34, otherwise you are saying the entire PW Community is wrong?

Also, So your saying my T-34 looks nothing like this?

Also, I got reference from a different picture, as I can see the Front is not sloped etc
Actually believe it or not the King tiger was a nightmare for its own users, it was one of the worst tanks the Germans could of ever made. Was it strong? hell yes it was but almost every single one broke down due to mechanical failure and they just abandoned them. Pretty much more KT's where abandoned then destroyed in combat because they where simply to complex to fix. Now a really amazing take would of been the Jagerpanther, it was truly the best German tank ever built in WW2.

I like to argue about stuff.
I sure hope you soaked it up in a constructive manner, otherwise I'm sorry. :(
Well, pointing out every little tiny fault compared to the real thing isn't exactly a way for me to improve, of course I'm not going to get it perfect. But, I did notice you were right about the Commissar being a bit too big :v:

Haha oh yes I remember reading about that! How the crew could abandon a tank due to breaking down, or they're out of fuel and are being chased by russkies etc. I remember seeing a picture on a king tiger, where it was frozen stuck in the mud of a polish road.

I guess you can look at it as a first version. Time to tweak it for the better? Or something. Thing is, I think I went somewhat overboard before, how it became personal because I absolutely love russkie tanks.
