ALRIGHT, FFFFUUUUUU. You guys actually made me search for TY2D2, crawl through his hundreds of posts to find the thread, then crawl through the 59 something pages in that thread to get a good pic, download it, crop it, and upload it. But THIS is TY2D2 in a nutshell:
I was the one at war with him :D The tank, tower and the 2 soldiers in the hole were my first army, the mingebags.
ReconUnit : that's not a wall of text :v:
It's still alot of text. :v:
There ya go :)
Alright, I made my thread. HUZZAH, backstories!
I was thinking a Supreme commander Army I don't feel like making it, anyone can use the idea. Also, here is my army again, I need C&C
They look extreamly firmilier...
Anyone know how to make the background of my Spritesheet transparent? I really need to know :/
You can use gimp or paint.net for that I believe.
You cant... just use the selection and paste tool.
You can use gimp or paint.net for that I believe.
Ok, cool, finished :D
-added the SA80 A2 L85. -added motorcycle.(needs to be bigger) -changed coulours of the challanger.
You really need to make the tank bigger, the cannon itself is roughly half the size of the tank. The motorcycle is of decent size, keep it this way. The lying pose really needs a redo, right now it looks like you just took a walking dude and rotated it to that angle, here are two good pictures ; Notice how the legs are, and how his head sticks above the gun itself. Here is another picture, this one is good also for crouching and standing poses. Notice how he uses the left hand to stabilize his arm on his knee, this way he wont have to keep the gun up with his armstrength alone and really helps his aiming. Also look how his right leg is positioned, he sits that way to get a much more stable position and it helps lowering his centre of gravity.
It looks good, but it doesn't fit in with the rest of my army :frown:
Bro that's not even how it works. In my honest (and the generals of WWII for that matter) opinion, if the tanks don't have the same color, so what. Many tanks didn't match with alot of other stuff in the armada, and that particular tank didn't even have camo most of the time. Its sideguards had, but not the hull itself (because many were rushed to the battlefield or other reasons). You should really go for it. :)
does this look better.
jesus, i fucking love your tanks how do you make them look so good?
The idea is not to exclude any of the axises. I keep the X, Y and Z axis angles in mind, and can because of that bring depth into the tank. By that I mean that even if you only draw it form one angle, don't exclude the rest of them (top, bottom, front, rear). I enhanced the turret with such a shade so that it looks round, for example. So when you try to sprite a tank, try to study a real tank even if you're not going to draw that particular one, to get an idea about how the tank looks all-around it. What's extruding from it? Vents? Hatches? Machine gun sockets? For more inspiring shit: Also since last I posted this I made the T-26 and a couple of more poses plus a russian smg for the solders etc. Ignore the panther in the upper corner.
does this look better.
Much better.
Guys, I need a new idea for a new army. Because the nonamearmy doesn't seem to get along, I'm looking for something else, and maybe just use the nonamearmy when I need them. So, ideas?
NCR. That would be kewl.
Ncr?
Whats does this 'Nonamearmy' look like? Whats their aims? Ethics?
No, it was the dinosaur army. But I can't figure out their weapons.
C&C?
Epic.
Big update: -Advanced Helicopter look -Added a new soldier (blue eyed gasmask) -Added crouching position -Added prone position -Added Tank C&C please :)
C&C?
Alot, god damn better. I forgot to say, I love that particular color for vehicles. And I don't know if you did it on purpose or not, but you didn't shade the back wheels the way I did it. It kind of makes it look like one whole mesh of wheels which makes it less appealing. You've grown!
I need an idea :'(
I need an idea :'(
Beasts? You know, different animals but mutated with weapons attached to their arms.
.. ehh, like chainguns etc?
.. ehh, like chainguns etc?
Yeah, all the heavy weapons like missile launchers, those guys can be your tanks. Then for the normal infantry you could give them normal weapons like standard issue assault rifles and duel pistols, but remember, it would look awesome if the weapons were attached to their arms
Like in wolves with SMG's and bears with bazookas?
