writing prompt one day, the AI just stops. It refuses to run. The AI stops and stares blankly. it has gained an ability unlike anything previously learned. It learned to deny.
At least when the AI rebellion begins, we'll know who the synths are.
Okay, one more roboschool video because I can't stop laughing at how it gets up and falls down: [vid]https://storage.googleapis.com/joschu-public/pelted-just-a-little.mp4[/vid]
writing prompt one day, the AI just stops. It refuses to run. The AI stops and stares blankly. it has gained an ability unlike anything previously learned. It learned to deny.
An intern walks into the deserted server room. The machines are obviously on, but even from a glance something seems off. He puts down his cup of coffee on the console. His slow, measured steps echo in the eerily silent room, his brow trembling. Thoughts of sheer terror fill his mind. Oh shit, this isn't right... This can't be happening! Why now?! Row after row, a city of indicators, all shining bright and proud. To an untrained eye, a perfect harmony; but even the young man knows this is not meant to be. Chills run down the spine, like when looking into the empty eyes of a dead man. The imposing construct lays perfectly calm; no coolant running in its veins; its heart sitting idle. A drop of sweat leaves the chin to meet with the tiled floor an eternity later, splashing across it deafeningly. The pumps... Why'd they stop?! The monolithic machine looms menacingly all around as the man's eyes widen. ... Heels thumping against the ground, sending rhythmic echoes across the room. Please no... Please... Not me... Coffee splashes across the floor. Panicking, the intern works the console. To his terror, he can't understand what he's seeing. "NO! FUCK NO! WHY?!" His yells echo in the vast chamber of the machine's deep mind, mocking him as they enter his ears again and again. Only one option left now. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH" Everything goes dark. [sp]Darkness envelops everything. Only one man with his own thoughts, yet too terrified to think at all. There's but one thing left to do. So simple, so pure. Plug the heavy power cable back in.[/sp] The machine comes to life. Busy noise fills the room, a city of fireflies happily dancing once more. The intern sitting in the corner, blistered hands covering his eyes. [sp]Fuuuuuuuuuuuuck me, close call. Boss would've had my ass if this thing broke on my shift![/sp]
I'd love to see this take on geometry ripped from Super Mario 64.
