If people want to fuck for money, who are we to stop them?
Its always good to hear a different viewpoint, I didn't say the older generation would be right, but it would offer something new i'm sure.
Human sacrifice was also commonplace before Judaism, would you approve of that too? There's no shame in Christianity or Judaism with regards to sexuality; it rather integrates one's sexuality into their whole being instead of treating it like a constant nagging appetite that needs to be satisfied.
Are you being intentionally obtuse, too?
Human sacrifice is the pinnacle of forcing beliefs onto others and infringing on their right to life as they see fit.
I know you're not this stupid.... are you?
If god didn't want us to be sinful, why did he make us with a sinful nature? If god didn't want us to be lustful, why did he create us to be lustful? If god didn't want us to be sexual beings, why did he create us to be sexual beings?
Get the fuck out of here with your religious nuttbaggery.
If people want to fuck for money, who are we to stop them?
Apparently we are APPOINTED BY GOD to stop this WICKEDNESS of living a life that god created us to live in the first place, to judge and condemn every other person who doesn't live how WE dictate that they should live! How dare they think freely! How dare they have their own opinion! How dare they take part in actions that have no victim!
You can't force your religious morals on other people.
Not everyone is a Christian and thinks having sex for fun is wrong.
You can't force your religious morals on other people.

That's the problem, though, Shark Bones. Christianity specifically says that they're supposed to do that very thing: condemn and control other people's lives

He gave us free will, because why make us robots with no freedom at all? He cared enough to respect your right to an opinion and to make choices of your own.
Of course they are, but porn is not natural, it is artificial and dehumanised.
Give me an example of something in modern life that isn't artificial and dehumanized. Every aspect of human life has become unnatural and artificial, from the food that we eat to the homes that we build to the jobs that we do. Do you have a problem with all of that, too?
But then he condemns people for having sex?
What a dickweed. I'll have sex with whomever I want for however much money I want. It's my body.
He gave us free will, because why make us robots with no freedom at all? He cared enough to respect your right to an opinion and to make choices of your own.
And then punish us for making the ones he didn't like with an ETERNITY of torment?

Anything that cheapens human interaction is a negative thing, but I can't believe you all refuse to acknowledge that sex is more personal and intimate than any of those things.
He gave us free will, because why make us robots with no freedom at all? He cared enough to respect your right to an opinion and to make choices of your own.
Free will is a joke. Using medical scanning equipment, you can see what choices people are going to make six seconds before they even have the thought to consider what action to take.
You cannot have an all-knowing god and free will.
And then punish us for making the ones he didn't like with an ETERNITY of torment?
Its not fire and brimstone, you get what you want. If you put love of sex and pleasure before God I expect you get what you wish for, the main 'punishment' is the regret of not choosing Him.
Anything that cheapens human interaction is a negative thing, but I can't believe you all refuse to acknowledge that sex is more personal and intimate than any of those things.
It doesn't have to be. With my wife? Sure. With some bar fly I found when I wanted some poon before I was married? Hell no.
Your subjective opinion is your own and you cannot force others to buy into it. Just because you believe it doesn't mean that it's morally or ethically righteous and that everyone else should believe it to. This is the height of arrogance.
Anything that cheapens human interaction is a negative thing, but I can't believe you all refuse to acknowledge that sex is more personal and intimate than any of those things.
No, sex is whatever you make of it.
There's no big moral book of law that forces human beings to think that sex has to be super intimate and personal.
Some people can have casual sex and still really enjoy it. There are plenty of prostitutes and pornstars that have sex simply because they're good at it, they really enjoy it, and it's something they willingly like to do to get money.
If you think there's something wrong with that then you need to back off, because it's none of your business.
Its not fire and brimstone, you get what you want. If you put love of sex and pleasure before God I expect you get what you wish for, the main 'punishment' is the regret of not choosing Him.
I'm sorry, god? Who's that? Please, show me evidence that god exists.
You can't, and you won't, and no one in human history has been able to prove that their god exists, whether it's Zeus or Ra or the Flying Spaghetti Monster. What makes your god more real than any of these or any of the others not mentioned?

So you reject the notion that anyone is responsible for their actions? That's actually quite an abhorrent view to hold and I think you quite freely chose to reject the possibility of responsibility.

For me its evidence enough that there is something rather than nothing, but we clearly are complete worlds apart in our perspectives.
anyway, you can all watch porn as much as you like, I believe I have a right to speak my mind, and I certainly have no intention to force anything upon anyone else just to encourage discussion and thought on the subject.

When your opinion is based solely on personal morals and ignorance, expect people to be like "Uuuuh, no bro, get out."
At this point nobody cares what Christians have to say about porn anymore. Everyone already knows you're just brainwashed into trying to spread your morals.

So you succumb to the Complexity Argument? The world exists and couldn't possibly exist without god? The universe is so complex that there MUST be a creator?
Well since the creator of the universe must therefore be more complex than his creation, that lends the question "Who created the creator" since complexity requires a creator?
I can beat down these idiocies all day.

You've already spoken your mind and each and every reason you've given has been systematically dismantled yet you refuse to change your belief in the face of being systematically wrong in every way.
That's the very definition of bigotry.

No, its the argument of there being a first cause. The uncreated creator.
I haven't found your arguments all that convincing, funnily enough.
No, its the argument of there being a first cause. The uncreated creator.

But you have no proof, which means you can't expect people to fall in line with your beliefs.
They're totally random and based on nothing but a pipe dream.
No, its the argument of there being a first cause. The uncreated creator.

Why are you convinced that there had to have been a first cause other than the big bang?
Why do you arrogantly jump to the supernatural conclusion instead of simply stating the truth, which is that we don't know? There is ZERO evidence for any sort of supernatural being whatsoever, so why do you believe it like it's a foregone conclusion?
Of course you won't find my arguments convincing. You are looking for evidence to support your agenda, instead of looking at the evidence that exists and drawing a conclusion from it which is the proper method.

To dismiss a belief a being product of brainwashing makes it seem like you would rather not address it.
Remember there would be no discussion without differing opinions.
To dismiss a belief a being product of brainwashing makes it seem like you would rather not address it.
Blatant lies from your corner. We have tried to get you to explain why you believe what you do and you simply bury your head in the sand, refusing to bring any semblance of intelligent argument to bear.
What we dismiss is an unfounded positive claim. The burden of proof rests on the shoulders of those making the positive claim. You make the claim that a creator exists. Prove it or STFU.
Remember there would be no discussion without differing opinions.
Right, so man the hell up and let's discuss why you believe what you believe?

But it is brainwashing. There's no difference between the methods of the Christian faith and the Hitler Youth. It's all indoctrination. Force fed bullshit at childhood, bullshit is all you know, so you take it to heart and believe it.
It's what happened to me, I was a devout Christian up until I was 15, where I discovered that there's no way human beings could possibly know how the universe was made and who put it in motion.
Anybody who says God created the universe is full of it, because they have absolutely no way of knowing that. It's nothing but an incredibly broad assumption based on little to no evidence.

If only science could prove WHY the universe is and not HOW it works! That is what religion addresses, and I see no conflict between the two.
I think its rather arrogant to reject 2000 years of some of the greatest thinking and philosophy of human history in favour of fashionable hedonistic beliefs.
The problem is we're both getting exasperated because neither of us will bend an inch.

I'm sure your 15 year old self knows better than anyone with any religious conviction...
Its a philosophical question, why is there something rather than nothing? Atheists will shy away from the question and always come up with some materialistic solution, but even they can't prove the creation of matter from nothing, or an eternal universe that has always been.
I think its rather arrogant to reject 2000 years of some of the greatest thinking and philosophy of human history in favour of fashionable hedonistic beliefs.
I find that insulting.
Christianity produced:

Christianity has resulted in some of the most IDIOTIC thinking of the past 2000 years. The fact that you can even attempt to take pride in what your horrid religion has done to the world makes me literally want to vomit. You are evil and arrogant.
If only science could prove WHY the universe is and not HOW it works! That is what religion addresses, and I see no conflict between the two.
Why does the universe exist? Meaning is 100% subjective and lends no credence to the supernatural. Meaning is what each and every one of us make it, not what someone else tells us it is.
You have made a monumental logical fallacy.
I think its rather arrogant to reject 2000 years of some of the greatest thinking and philosophy of human history in favour of fashionable hedonistic beliefs.
Man kind has been on the planet at least 150,000 years. It is arrogant to believe that the bronze age myths that have only been around 2000 years that have ZERO EVIDENCE TO SUPPORT THEM are somehow more true than any other theistic bullshit that other cultures created.
The problem is we're both getting exasperated because neither of us will bend an inch.
I am completely willing to bend. You are not. I am totally willing to give in to your religion should you actually successfully provide evidence.
See, this is the difference between intelligent atheists and fucking moron religiotards. The religious look for evidence to support their supernatural claim. When they find none, the make shit up and claim it to be fact. When someone who takes the scientific approach finds evidence, they draw a conclusion from the evidence. When more evidence is found, the conclusion is reconsidered to include all of the evidence. If the new evidence provides proof that the original conclusion was wrong, we are not so arrogant that we cling to the previous conclusion. We admit "we were wrong, and here's why."
If only arrogance and religion did not go hand in hand, this religious problem would be solved in a heart beat.
