Everyone has different ways of being happy and you can't really go up to someone who is happy because he's one a million dollars and say, "Hey you really aren't happy" because really he is. Maybe you won't be truly happy because you've won a million dollars but someone else could because different people like different things.

There's a difference between not liking someone and shrugging them off, and not liking someone and going out of your way to bring them down, which is what the OP did.
