Quebec is nice, genuinely, it is. Montreal is a wonderful city, especially when the F1 race comes around. I don't see why French Canadians and the rest of Canada have to get all bitchy at each other instead of getting along. Is Quebec extremely conservative whilst the rest of Canada is liberal or something of the sort (California v Texas sort of thing)? The only time we Americans expect to see such violence from our wonderful neighbor is during, well, you know, USA vs Canada in hockey.
As Finland´s story of independence is full of wars and agony, eventually over coming them, I can support Quebec´s eager for independence. I approve this thread
I don't know much, if anything about Finland's historical need for independence. But I'm sure there was a much better reason for it. And blindly supporting any kind of independence just because your own country needed and achieved it at one point, just seems like very poor judgement on your part.

If the people and the government really wants something, Im sure there is a good reason for that. Yeah call my reasoning dumb and immature, you are probably right.
You think the weak french province of quebec is going to revolt against the canadian empire?:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol: They can revolt all they want, they're just not going to win.
Canadian empire? You mean dudes on horses?
Canadian empire? You mean dudes on horses?
I thought canada was reversed, so horses on dudes.
I'm Québecois and I can tell about 20% of us want to be independant, it's not the whole quebec. It changed since 1995 when it was 50/50. Maybe the fact that Conservatives are major will increase that movement, but it will stay low.

well, being a French Canadian who lives in Montreal, I don`t want Québec to separate from Canada. I like it here, I like the party`s, the tourists and its pretty chill here. But if there was a separation, I would move to a different province because I don`t want to deal with that shit.
Being a French Canadian who lives in Montreal, I don't know if I want to separate from Canada. I like it here, but I'd want to see what the separation would be like. If it turned to shit I'd just get the fuck out.
Quebec is generally more liberal than the rest of the country, but not drastically, unless you compare them to Alberta.
Really? I thought they were significantly more left than most other areas in the country, since they elected NDP to most of their seats.
Oh man, not this again, I'm Québecois and separating would be the worse thing, we have a pisspoor shitdick small population for the amount of land we'll have to cover and defend, so both military and economically wise I say we're in the shitter.
Here's an idea: speak English.
Here's an idea: speak English.
Here's an idea: make more shit posts. I know you wont let us down.
Here's an idea: speak English.
Fun fact, all the Québecois so far in this thread have been talking english, and most people from Québec can talk english. uehuahuhtroloolololshitposting
Here is a idea give them the part in the red
Never gonna happen. Honestly, they aren't self sufficient and would have a super hard time being recognized by the international community. You know how many "states" have seceded from the union in the US? Of course you don't, because they've never succeeded.
This pretty much sums it up
hehe i like casual racism too maybe they're butthurt by the fact there is a disproportionate number of first nations people in prison maybe they're butthurt by the fact the reserves are practically third world nations due to funding problems maybe they're butthurt by the fact it's harder for first nations people to get a good education and a good job maybe they're butthurt by the fact their communities are overrun by gangs
My reserve looks like a upscale neighborhood.
Here's an idea: speak English.
Oh hey, here's another one, speak French for fucks sake. What's up with us having to learn English and you know, being alright with that then you people refuse to learn French?
Oh hey, here's another one, speak French for fucks sake. What's up with us having to learn English and you know, being alright with that then you people refuse to learn French?
They teach French in every single school in Canada you retard (up to a certain grade). Also, if you didn't learn English you'd have an extremely hard time finding a job, even inside Quebec, and you'd pretty much be fucked for the rest of your life unless you moved to France or something, and even there the French is different.
Oh hey, here's another one, speak French for fucks sake. What's up with us having to learn English and you know, being alright with that then you people refuse to learn French?
French is just as exciting as a 3 legged marathon with a paraplegic
If they want their independence then let them have it.
Here's an idea: speak English.
you live in Finland [editline]1st June 2011[/editline]
My reserve looks like a upscale neighborhood.
I've been to Norway House and thought it was nice but the rest seem to be shitholes
Oh hey, here's another one, speak French for fucks sake. What are you talking about?
Uh, when I was in elementary school and grade 9, I was required to learn French. What are you talking about?
I am talking about people who complain about this shit. I had to learn English, did i complain? No.
I dont know what to think of this.... but i can honestly say that this will not go well with the rest of Canada.
I am talking about people who complain about this shit. I had to learn English, did i complain? No.
Whoever complains about 'having to learn French' is just finding something to complain about. You can live completely fine in Canada without ever learning French. It's still one of our national languages, there are French channels here, and there are multilingual printing on almost every item here. I'm not sure if you can survive in Quebec or whatever with just French speaking abilities, because I've never been there.

Knowing French is definitely an asset in places like Quebec City but in Montreal it doesn't matter as much. As for rural Quebec, I'm going to guess that it's almost exclusively French but I don't know.
I'm not sure if you can survive in Quebec or whatever with just French speaking abilities, because I've never been there.
you probably could, although i can imagine it would make life really difficult
