I'm with you, strayebyrd is one of those people who take something that is perfectly innocent directed at a minority, but not necessarily positive, and take it as outright hatred. But it doesn't help that you are being ultra defensive and are about as eloquent as tourettes guy speaking on this issue.
no, I'm saying that acting like exaggeration of a specific part of someone's personality is solely confined to sexuality, is just dumb. There are exaggerated people in all areas of life, it just seems like people always pick on exaggerated gays
Tonight and tomorrow are the last performances. tonight it starts at 8pm. and tomorrow at 3pm. I thought I texted you :O oh no. I really want you to come because i got the term "doteupcats" in the play without anyone knowing. call me for more deatz. gotta go.
I don't think he ever alleged that what they were doing was confined to sexuality.

Stop it! That post wasn't directed at you! DOG-GY and Chubbles know eachother IRL and are talking to each other about IRL things! Pay attention!
Hater gonna hate.
And your age might just be 21 your mental age is stuck at 12
If you are being serious, then goodluck.
If you're not, /facepalm.
you sound 13 but I wont state that as fact
I don't think he ever alleged that what they were doing was confined to sexuality.
then why bring it up? If personality exaggeration is nothing to do with sexuality, then what on earth is the point of bringing it up in a thread about sexuality? I don't go into threads about cycling and say "I have no problem with cyclists but gosh I hate those cyclists who shove it in everyone's faces" because it's acting like the cycling is the issue there, not the person in particular. Overt flamboyant gays are such a tiny minority of the gay community, that it isn't worth bringing them up really. They don't affect anyone's life, I've gone 18 years so far without ever even meeting one. Yeah I might meet a flamboyant gay person one day and think "gosh I didn't like him very much" but that'll be because of his personality, not his sexuality.

Both of you stop arguing and debate what's wrong with homos.

I was talking about his FB picture, then he said he was 17 in that pic and used art school as an excuse so I said that I'm doing application development and that I'm so 15.
exactly, the 'type of gay' that most people claim to hate is one almost entirely manufactured by the media
unfortunately this is not so. quite a few of these people do actually exist, and they make my life much more difficult.
A gay man walks down the street with long hair dyed pink, skinny jeans, and a skin tight shirt. He talks with a lisp and moves his hips when he walks. You call him a fag. A girl wearing the same who also moves her hips when she walks walks down the street. You call her hot. My point is that girls and straight people in general act flamboyant all the time. Why can't we?

That's my fault, I wasn't paying attention there. Sorry. Now here's a proper reply to that post:
Who gives a flying fuck how older either of you are!?! You could be two sixty year olds and it wouldn't change the fact that using the insult "you sound like you're fifteen" and then arguing who's older is absolutely fucking idiotic.

I could go into the reasons he'd post that, but I'm just going to go ahead and say that you're reading waaaay too far into his posts. He's not trying to hide being a homophobe. He's just an idiot.

people expect different from males, simple as that.
PS, max 5% of all gay males fit in the steriotype of skinnyjeans and pink hair.
Another point I would like to make is that is that both the straight and gay communities have their own social ranges. Gays can go from football playing jocks to "overly" flamboyant twinks
While straight people can range from football playing jocks to "overly" flamboyant pretty-boys.

Why should people expect different things from males?

It's cultural. Girls are "supposed" to move like that, it's what's considered "normal". I use quotes because those are completely subjective and based on points of view long ingrained by surrounding culture and/or upbringing. I personally have no problem with flamboyance or femininity/masculinity among homosexuals (hell, I'm bi and have a preference for more feminine guys) but it tends to make people who, while they have no rational opposition to homosexuality, a tad uncomfortable. These people should adjust or at least not make a fuss about it, but it's not necessarily their fault or inherently bad.

You cant change what people expect, it just needs time it will change itself.

actually that was what I was trying to prove, the homophobe thing only related to that one comment he made about gay gays, the rest of the time I was just trying to prove how dumb it is to single out gays as people who exaggerate aspects of themselves.

I also have an attraction towards more feminine males.
But the point Im trying to get across is that the social binary restricting people to the "cultural" definition of a man or a woman should be abolished for being outdated.

Ah, then we are in agreement.

That's not something that can just be "abolished". It'll take time, and it's fortunately already happening. I see a large cultural shift happening where gay people are beginning to be seen as normal, and in a generation or two homophobes will be like racists are today. (Though hopefully without the disturbing American habit of trying to go on racist witch hunts and seeing it where it isn't)
I just hate the gay accent.
Camp != Gay, I can't stand overly camp people of any gender or orientation, it is awfuly annoying.

Well what's wrong with them is that they're attracted to the same sex.
But, I respect and treat them like other people. I have nothing against them.

i was making a joke about art school stereotypes
that pic was from high school though :) it's my profile picture because it wound up in the Georgia Thespian calendar
I'm Catholic too, and I'm sure the only reason radicals hate homosexuals is because, as explained in the Bible (Pretty hard to interpret) they merely couldn't have children and thus couldn't help populate.
Neither can infertile men/women, doesn't mean we should ban them from unity.

You didn't answer the question at all.
Neither can infertile men/women, doesn't mean we should ban them from unity.
well infertile men/women have been hated on in the bible so

Different != wrong
There is certainly more homophobia than I expected on this forum.

Are you saying homosexuals are a different specie?
Are you saying homosexuals are a different specie?
well they're part of the plant kingdom
Are you saying homosexuals are a different specie?
haha no you don't get my implication, you're basically saying something is wrong simply because it is what it is, you need to elaborate.
What you said is basically like hating black people because they're black.
