I remember one instance where I was returning to school after having a really bad fever. I walked into my Pre-Calculus class and this annoying ass girl said "Look! You're finally back." in a sarcastic tone. I muttered to myself "Oh not this shit again." The girl blinked like fucking 100 times in 1 second and said "Excuse me?" I thought it was some epileptic shit because my aunt does it sometimes. So I asked her, "Do you have epilepsy? My aunt's wife has it and she does that sometimes." The girl gasped and said "Wait, you're aunt's a lesbian? That's not something to be proud of." I was rather confused, but class was starting so I decided to ignore her and right in the middle of work time she whispers to me "Does your aunt like... act all weird?" I sighed, stood up, and said "Being homosexual isn't wrong, you bigot." And literally everyone turned around and starting wailing on her with remarks and questions like "What do you have against gays?" etc. etc. She was so embarrassed. Just a little story I guess.
I'm a guy, I have a few gay friends, just tell them you're straight and not interested, and 9 times out of 10, you'll be fine and have a new cool friend.
Not really.
Really?
Are you jealous that they're not staring at yours?

People generally don't go into washrooms to stare at others, and if they did it wouldn't mean anything unless they acted on it forcefully, which is a crime (sexual assault).

Yes because I totally go to the restroom just to stare at dicks... Oh wait I go to urinate and defecate like the rest.

Because they're equal human beings?

Really?
I'm gonna go on record and say that I'd be fine with unisex bathrooms.
I'm fine with it too but ok
The people who are grossed out about gays are compensating and externally attempting to repress that which is present in themselves. Deep down, nobody is 100% gay or straight. I'm not saying everyone has to be bisexual, it's just not mentally healthy to completely deny natural urges and feelings.
The people who are grossed out about gays are compensating and externally attempting to repress that which is present in themselves.
that is a generalization.
To be honest I don't want gay people staring at other dudes dicks in the showers, why do you think that washroom/change room genders are separated in the first place?
Staring at someone's dick when they don't want you to is already illegal, it's a form of sexual harassment
I don't have a problem with gay people, I just have a problem with people who wear their sexuality on their sleeve. Like these young men who happened to be in my newsfeed the other day.
It looks funny, what's the problem?
I don't have a problem with gay people, I just have a problem with people who wear their sexuality on their sleeve.
why
why
It's obnoxious for anyone to wear anything on their sleeve. Just like its obnoxious for rich people to act ostentatious, and like its obnoxious for muscular guys to wear really tight fitting shirts. No one likes that shit.
why
It can be just as irritating as those muscle heads that only talk about how much weight they can lift and how many bitches they fucked last night.
Just like its obnoxious for rich people to act ostentatious,
i don't think that's the same thing. one is being a jerk and expressing a genuine character flaw and the other isn't.
and like its obnoxious for muscular guys to wear really tight fitting shirts. No one likes that shit.
really? I don't mind that. i think that's a really weird thing to be bothered by [editline]6th October 2011[/editline]
It can be just as irritating as those muscle heads that only talk about how much weight they can lift and how many bitches they fucked last night.
if you don't like what they're talking about then don't talk to them but I don't think that's any reason to look down on them or judge them. [editline]6th October 2011[/editline]
Like these young men who happened to be in my newsfeed the other day.
and why is it your newsfeed? why can't it be their newsfeed too? what if they complained that they don't want straight people who wear their sexuality on their sleeve (men holding hands with women and the women all showing cleavage) on their newsfeed? [editline]6th October 2011[/editline] why aren't there gay people complaining about MTV Spring Break but there are straight people complaining about displays of homosexuality
i don't think that's the same thing. one is being a jerk and expressing a genuine character flaw and the other isn't. really?
To be honest I don't want gay people staring at other dudes dicks in the showers, why do you think that washroom/change room genders are separated in the first place?
If it were true for people to look at the sexual parts of your body, then you would constantly stare at the breasts of every female you see. Fortunately, it isn't true.
You shouldn't find it obnoxious, do you get irritated at gamers for wearing a MW3 shirt?
nobody likes cod players wearing their KD on their sleeve!

They just allow that stereotype to become the way the express themselves, and that comes off as juvenile. It really is the sort behavior I expect from the average 13 year old. That is, picking one aspect of yourself(or worse, a stereotype) and allowing it to represent your entire personality, in some desperate search for identity.
You shouldn't find it obnoxious, do you get irritated at gamers for wearing a MW3 shirt?
MW3 is a game, something not very likely to conflict with your personality. What bothers me is to see two men dressed in thongs holding hands and skipping down the street. No one wants to see someone flaunt something like that, whether its gay or not. It's having no humility and respect for anyone around you. It bothers me to see a straight couple wearing explicit clothing and acting goofy in public too, not necessarily cause they enjoy it but more because they want everyone to see it.

People like hating people. That's a part of the issue. people can easily develop a fear/hatred for someone who is different, just by inexperience with their type and being told what to think. There are a lot of expectations held in the church, if you ever ventured in a church community, you would realize there's a ranking system all the time. People support causes because it's a common belief of the people they associate with. And, here's another paragraph regarding stereotyping. Sexuality is very complex. A gay guy can crossdress, another won't want to. A straight guy can be effiminate, but most aren't usually. I know me and a few other gay friends (mostly internet), that have a taste for masculinity. I think masculine things are attractive, and I strive to masculine myself. And generally, people don't know I'm gay until I tell them. But as sexuality is complex and differentiates, not everyone is the same. I have black friends, latino friends, white friends, predominately straight friends. But yeah, I don't get to meet a lot of people like I want to though. [editline]7th October 2011[/editline] Also, I'm not bothering to read above this post, it looks like Limulus is trolling or something. He does that often, but I like him anyways. I kind of respect him.
no, I think that's just you and a few other people like you. i don't get bothered when i see a shirtless dude because i'm not crazy + insecure.
Are you kidding me? This has nothing to do with insecurity. Whatever happened to being a gentlemen? To chivalry? You don't run around in a thong jumping around and acting goofy with anyone, I don't care if it's the goddamn president, it just isn't courteous.

What's the point in bringing it up then?
