• Gays - Seriously, what's wrong about them?

I wouldn't care if I was working with someone interested in the same gender, hell they make better friends since they have more to talk about during the day unlike everyone else. I even have a friend at school who is entirely homo, everyone avoids him except for me and 2 other friends of mine. It's really stupid, but as long as the person doesn't show the affection of the homosexuality he shouldn't be a problem in society, but today's representatives use them as a figure of "Rejected" or "Unwanted" people in todays society.
It's kind of annoying to see how homos are still looked down these day... Seriously.. I'm not homo but let say in-between, yet, that seems to be looked even more down, what the fuck is wrong with the today's society, haven't we evolved to look over what people like?

By that I mean people asserting that a bisexual is actually gay or that it's a 1 way or the other kind of thing. I can't remember someone bi around me being looked down on moreso than homophobes typically view homosexuals, but I guess that's just my experiences.
I don't see why people can't just let others live their lives. I say just let people do what they want as long as they aren't physically hurting you. People bitch when gays wear t-shirts and publicly display their sexual preference but the main reason for that is because people are trying to take away the one thing that means something in these peoples lives. Try and bash gun rights in America and what do you get?
I don't see how it can be a choice. It's often mocked but in some countries you face the death penalty for being gay. I don't think anybody would CHOOSE to be in that position.
I'm fine with gays, I just dislike and avoid those flamboyant ones with the stereotypical accent/dress.

So I was thinking maybe it is triggered in people somehow. And how often do you see homosexuality in animals? I don't think too often. Not that it has anything to do with humans because we take sexuality to a whole new level.
If everyone was plain and made no effort to express who they are this world would suck ass. You may be fine blending in, that's completely acceptable, but not everyone wants to and you have no right to tell them they should
Trust me, I am all for expressing yourself. I'm going to art school in January where if you don't express yourself its a sin. I'm just saying there are appropriate and inappropriate ways to do so. Doing something to express yourself in an obnoxious, impolite way would be a perfect example of the wrong way of going about it. I don't write the book about expressing yourself, so yeah everyone has the right to do as they please, however I personally find it obnoxious when someone is shoving their views/beliefs on me.
Something to think about: is preference of Coke over Pepsi a choice? [editline]10th October 2011[/editline] I say no.
The only thing wrong with gay people is that they've inadvertently created a large group of homophobic idiots.
And how often do you see homosexuality in animals? I don't think too often.
it happens in animals all the time there are plenty of examples of homosexual couples in animals and I think that's already been talked about in this thread [editline]10th October 2011[/editline] yea page 9 http://www.facepunch.com/threads/1128505?p=32595415&viewfull=1#post32595415

So okay, there are gay animals too just probably not too many, not as much as gay humans.
Gays are like the spies behind enemy lines in the battle of the sexes. I mean, take my mate Steven for example. Quite possibly the most stereotypical gay lad you could ever meet. If I throw a party, I know that not only will he bring some his fairly attractive girlfriends along with him, he'll make sure to get them all hooched up on Rosé beforehand. That, and his knowledge of party games is quite frankly fascinating. I fuckin' love that guy. What was the discussion again?
To be honest I don't want gay people staring at other dudes dicks in the showers, why do you think that washroom/change room genders are separated in the first place?
I'm sure alot of straight people look at other people dicks aswell.

Another good example is penguins, who usually stay together for life, have homosexual couples. There was even a story of a male penguin couple that raised an egg and then child together.

Enough with the animals anyway. But I bet you've gone through enough of debate about sexuality in humans, which is.. something different than in animals.
There's nothing wrong with homosexuality. We are not animals bound by instinct; we are intelligent lifeforms, born with the gift of free will and the ability to choose our own paths. Even though Nature decrees that man + woman = love & life, SCREW THAT BITCH, she doesn't know anything about free will anyway (doesn't know anything at all, matter of fact; she's an abstract force). Though then again, there IS homosexuality amongst animals, although many of the species concerned seem pretty intelligent. People who disdain homosexuality with a violent passion are, using the politest of words, SAVAGES; violent animals that have surrendered their free will to false gods (is there any other kind?) and outdated social rhetorics. It would take years to culture and cure these madmen; years and years of intensive social rehabilitation to make them normal. Besides, homosexuality is, amongst many things, a rather ingenious form of population control; meaning that less people end up making more people, even if they don't pass on their genetic code (and lose their biological legacy), though they can still pass on their knowledge and wisdom to future generations, which is a very special type of alternative evolution; the evolution of social systems, information, and psychology.

But I bet you've gone through enough of debate about sexuality in humans, which is.. something different than in animals.
but I don't see why you're saying it's different. Recreational sex is probably just as common.
We're people too, you know!
but I don't see why you're saying it's different. Recreational sex is probably just as common.
It's just as wrong to say homosexuality is moral because it occurs in nature as it is to say it's immoral because it doesn't. Animal behavior tells us nothing about human morality.
For those who are curious: I'm gay, and here's how I came to realize it. I had a few curiosities as a kid, and I was always curious about sex, but I never thought about girls really, just guys. Only when sexuality became a factor did I realize that I was actually gay. It's not something you really know, it's just something you realize after observing yourself. I pretty much started looking at gay porn at the time that porn in general was introduced, which was at like 11-12. I admitted to myself I was gay around 16 and I came out right as I turned 18. And nowadays, I'm turning 19 in November and my immediate family and all of my friends know me as homosexual. Except a few family members, but whatever. And gladly I can say, it doesn't govern my life. But it does suck, because I could be tapping so much ass if I was straight. [editline]12th October 2011[/editline] Oh and the assumption that all gays act gay is a myth. People don't know I'm gay usually until I tell them. It's not a big part of my life I like to flaunt. I don't even like flaunting it, because I would never want someone to define me as just gay and nothing else. Sexuality is very complex, so it's something that varies in a lot of ways, and people are so ignorant to that.
I'm just saying there are appropriate and inappropriate ways to do so.
Most boring art student ever
I always feel that homophobes are either unsure of their own sexuality or have some misapprehension of what gay people are like, so basically it's a fear of the unknown thing. Years back I worked at a cinema and one of my best friends there was probably the most flamboyant, over-the-top gay guy I've ever met. None of the other male staff would work with Ben if they could avoid it, maybe thinking that his gayness would be infectious or maybe that he'd rape them. Basically once we had got over the initial "I'm straight, you're wasting your time" stuff, we were fine. We had some interesting conversations, such as the old favourite "If you were gay, would you find me attractive?" (answer: I have no idea, I'm not gay). We kind of came to the understanding that I was as straight as he was gay and that we couldn't be anything more than friends. It was a lot of fun at times being amongst really uptight guys, Ben and me played with their minds whenever the opportunity presented itself. Just simple things like flirting with each other when we knew it would make people uncomfortable, broadcasting suggestive calls over the radios (like when I needed him to "come upstairs to help me with my machinery" and to bring some lube from the storeroom. Basically, any way we could slip innuendos or double entendres into a radio conversation). The weird thing is that the other guys probably wouldn't have minded that kind of pretend-homo messing around, except for the fact that I was doing it (hurhur) with with an openly gay guy. I was really pissed off at some people's attitudes towards Ben. Even when they weren't being directly offensive, they'd say things like: "I wouldn't mind him if he wasn't so obvious about it", why the hell should he (if he could) change the way he is for their benefit? To me it seems like a stupid way to think.
I like your attitude except for the "I'm straight, you're wasting your time" thing. It's not like when an ugly girl comes up to you for a chat you say "you're wasting your time" before talking to them. It's just this presumptuous undertone on Facepunch where everyone assumes a gay guy talking to them = a gay guy wanting to fuck them.
For me it's like this I'm only interested in other homosexual people, i'm not the slightest interested in heterosexual people relationship-wise.
I'm fine with gays, I just dislike and avoid those flamboyant ones with the stereotypical accent/dress.
They make me laugh.

because they do it in the butt and then the penis is covered in poop and shit and they fart and ewwww but seriously, gays were some of the nicest people I've met, I've got no problem with them. Except my dog that is but his balls have been cut off so w/e.
