Mardi Gras definitely strengthens heterophobia so I don't see why the inverse wouldn't be true.
Oh what I am saying that was silly! Almost silly enough to be like I'm proving a point
only gay people say silly i should know im homophobic
Maybe it's just the way I was raised and the friends I had growing up, but I never viewed people that were different from myself in a negative way. I didn't even see their differences, they were just other people as far as I was concerned and I just accepted them for who they were without a second thought. I was perplexed when I first learned about racism and then gay hate as I got older.
I remember I heard a news story from one of my teachers in highschool, about a boy who was beaten to death for being gay. All the kids in my class made fun and said they were going to go gay bashing after school. But I was disgusted. I couldn't fathom how or why his being gay would affect anyone else. And until it does, what business is it of anyone's to have an opinion on what others feel or do if it's who they are and it makes them happy, nevermind assault and kill them? The world would be much better off if everyone stopped worrying about what sets us apart and focused on what makes us the same.
One thing I hate hearing people that are allegedly okay with homosexuality say is "I don't mind as long as they don't hit on or molest me (ps. I only hate flaming gays)" as if the gays are some kind of sexual deviant rapists, and as if they're so unbelievably attractive that they lure every gay around them just like they do women.

i find it a bit awkward talking to someone who is homosexual and likes you because you have no idea what the fuck to do

how do you not know what to do? if they're coming on to you and you don't want to shack up with them then just say "no thanks"
how do you not know what to do? if they're coming on to you and you don't want to shack up with them then just say "no thanks"
well i feel as if that's rude but i don't know
well i feel as if that's rude but i don't know
how is rude that someone likes you and finds you attractive?
no, he's saying that he feels it would be rude to say "no thanks"
you seem to misunderstand everyone on purpose
cool, lets make me not understanding this guy (sorry dude) into some weird personal thing
no, he's saying that he feels it would be rude to say "no thanks"

he doesn't misunderstand people on purpose, he simply chooses the interpretation which gives him the most moral high ground.

it doesn't prove anything though. the original argument in that image has a point and if u would read the thread U WOULD KNOW
How the topic of flamboyancy always comes up in these topics annoys me. It is stereotyping. "I don't like blacks just the ones that steal and eat watermelon". Come on. All kinds of people act all kinds of ways. Gays aren't the first or only people to act flamboyant. If anything we may have a higher tendency to be known for it possibly because we are already breaking gender conventions, and are not afraid to do so (gender is based entirely on cultural perceptions). Because you have a problem with someone's voice or the way they dress does not give you a excuse to hate them.
well i feel as if that's rude but i don't know
then have sex with them, because those are really your two options here. I'm pretty sure most gay people would understand if you aren't gay.
Okay I'm drunk as fuck but here I go
I am not pro-homo, or anti homo
But I think that people who love each other should have a chance to do so. I've made a lot of sexual slurs over my time, but I respect people opinions. I will continue to make such slurs, but I respect anyone regardless of their sexual orientation. As long as they deserve my respect. That is all
I have nothing against gay and bi people as long as they acknowledge that I'm not into guys, just girls.
Those few homosexuals that seem to get kicks from harassing straight guys are the only ones I really despise.

Has that ever actually happened to you?

i've read the thread since I've made it.
Honestly i ain't against gays but its when they decide to have children is where it gets a bit iffy
i've read the thread since I've made it.
obv not
it's been explained really well
Honestly i ain't against gays but its when they decide to have children is where it gets a bit iffy
why
I don't see anything wrong with it, the only thing I see inappropriate is when someone that's gay talks about how gay they are, but that goes both ways. It also annoys me when a straight guy is like "i'm gonna fucking FUCK THE FUCK out of that bitch!"
How do you get a gay man to fuck a woman?
You shit in her cunt.

Gays rape children. They'll turn the children gay. The children will act like fags. Who knows?
A gay accent?
Now I've heard it all.
Yeah, there is a 'gay' accent.
You know, lisps and all. You can't really explain the rest but there is.
I don't mind if people act gay even if they are gay. Doesn't matter.
It's like interracial marriages, before they were shunned upon and look at us now. In the near future I hope we will laugh at those who thing gay marriages should be outlawed.
there is not a gay accent

What about guys that harass girls, which happens with much more frequency than guys harassing guys

Asshole.
There is nothing wrong about being Gay, homosexual, etc...
It's a choice and love comes in many ways. And since it's a personal matter I think at a certain age are responsible for their acts and therefore deserve to be happy even against all prejudices.
