Hating on gays is fucking stupid. Hating on anyone is fucking stupid. Sexuality only defines what gender the person is attracted to. It does not suddenly make them crossdress or act differently. There are girly boys who like girls, there are manly gays who like men. So fucking what? I guess the masses just need something to hate, be it blacks, muslims or gays.

it's not really that suprising that there is a fair bit of latent homophobia on facepunch. The use of the optimistic rating speaks for itself for the most part, especially considering even people openly stating that they are in fact gay are bombarded by rainbows

The kids you're talking about use gay and faggot as generic negative terms. Many of them don't actually even associate them with actual gay people. Maybe I'm giving them too much credit, but most of the time it really isn't offensive. Here, rainbows are used when someone actually says something distinctly gay, as you have said, simply saying they are is a good example f this. That's just descriptive, ultimately. What is a misuse is when someone says something which is simply effeminate and gets rainbows. This is also true for the misuse of gay and faggot, but really, gay is a flawed word to begin with simply for its origins. It is asking for this kind of misuse. I personally wish people had settled on a different term when all this was being decided. I might even find its "proper" use more offensive than simply using it as an insult.

Who would choose to subject themselves to the torment? That's like saying someone chose to have autism, cancer, etc. Whether it's psychological or genetic, it doesn't really matter. It's a choice to flaunt your sexuality and be flamboyant about it. These are the people that haphazardly create the stereotype that defines the term 'gay'. While I might be heterosexual, I had just as much choice over it as my friend who's gay.

I don't think being gay is a choice because being gay in this society is thought of as immoral and wrong. If I were gay and knew about it my whole life, I wouldn't come out of the closet unless I was sure because of the scoeity today.

What evidence proves that children adopted by homosexuals will be gay themselves? Especially if you believe gay people are born gay. Why shouldn't gay people be able to adopt? Wouldn't a child be better off with adoptive parents who love him/her than being passed around in foster care till they're old enough to be kicked out and left to find for themselves. However, one must have the consciousness to acknowledge that the videos of paedophilia you watch on the internet involve, in most cases, child traffic and abuse of minors, and that is something everyone must keep in mind.
