On the subject of pride parades, I honestly think that some of the people who attend are doing more harm than good. Many of the people there associate their feminism with being gay, thus reinforcing the negative stereotypes. Not the most elegant speaker so that may have come across like I'm an asshole, so sorry about that.

And I agree to a certain extent, but they have as much freedom to parade as we do so I guess there's nothing really to complain about, it's their choice after all.

Im bi and im dating a guy, but i dont like how gay pride is portrayed. it makes me and my boyfriend look bad when we are both just normal people with other people, and only act gay when we are in privacy. I hate gay pride because it makes homosexuals look like flamboyant guys wearing thongs and rainbow cutoff shirts. when most of them are just like you or me.

I have a theory of why Gays and everyone who is mildly different from the norm is discriminated against, it has probably already been said better somewhere else. But one of our natural instincts is fear and caution, and if we encounter something different, or something that we're not used to we shun it, try to kill it, get away from it, etc. Probably because we used to need this to survive, in older time if something was different chances are, it was gonna kill you. Just my two cents.

There is nothing wrong with gays. People judge and jump on the gay-hating bandwagon, thinking that gay people are only gay for the different kind of sex. However no mere human can judge another man. That is God's duty, and only his. Leviticus in the Bible, states however, that being gay is bad. But he's not God, now is he? If gays were truly disliked by God they would not be here. The world is full of diversity; being gay is just a part of it.

I have no clue whats wrong with them.. I got three gay friends myself there is no difference really and any reason to hate on what they wish to believe or do if they wish it so be it, I have no right to deny them their right to freedom or anyone else who wishes to do what they want.. sadly the government thinks different about freedom it seems. Seeing as Ive seen one fellow been pulled over by officers and put in jail for 5 months or more for drugs but when I see celebrates having drugs they are free to go 95% of the time. Its either money or just because they are famous. I know it has nothing to do with gay but its kind of like it seeing as people should be able to do what ever they want and if its illegal for most they should not make exceptions .. anyway back to topic.. only time I don't care for gays is when one of my gay friends maybe talk about another man's junk or ass.. or just plain make out. The only people who dislike gay people (male) are people who: - have had bad experiences with guys/gay guys, where they have 'taken advantage' of them, or something of the sort - the religious nuts (any culture) - people who dislike them because other people do, to 'fit in' - people who aren't comfortable with their sexuality, as to not 'raise suspicion' the list can go on endlessly. There is no real reason to dislike homosexuals - yet no one ever detests to lesbians. ever.

However lesbian relationships have always been legal in most societies. Laws were made back then to prevent two men, never women.

LGBT Pride parades are meant for what they are called, to show your pride in being LGBT. If someone wants to be out there about being LGBT, let them do what THEY want to do.

It's really just cultured bigotry that labels them as bad. I'm a pretty strong Christian and it really angers me how many people who claim to be "Christian" preach hell-fire and damnation to ANYONE, for ANY reason. If you're a Christian, or claim to be one, the first thing you should know is that with whatever measurement you use to judge, it will be used against you. (All sin is equal, and everyone commits it. Being a Christian doesn't make you a better person, it makes you a forgiven one.) If you actually follow Christ's example, you would know to accept and forgive; to love and turn the other cheek. Really, hating another person for their differences is fundamentally an idiotic move, on all levels.

I'm not gay. What's wrong with them? The fact that they go against nature. It's so much more simple when one sex is only interested in the opposite and it actually serves a purpose: to reproduce and pass on genetics. Homosexuality is just a defect caused by bad experiences and should be fixed with counseling. The fact that we were MEANT to be heterosexual is not debatable, we are by nature attracted to the opposite sex so we can reproduce and this can only mean that homosexuals have something wrong with them usually caused by something that happened in their past. Either that or they can't get a girl. I don't hate homosexuals, i just think that being homosexual is wrong and should be fixed like any other mental illness. I don't care if you think that sounds harsh.
