Gays - Seriously, what's wrong about them? - General

Can someone explain this to me? I honestly can't see the big deal. Some people like techno music, others, rock. It's a fucking preference, so I don't see why someone's mentality that has a different preference in terms of sexual orientation is so wrong. If someone like the same gender, big deal. Let them live their damn lives, and stop judging them for fuck's sakes. The shit heads that say, "They're defected humans." or some shit are wrong. Because what's unnatural about homosexuality or bisexuality? It's not a defect, it's nothing more than a characteristic or a preference. And even if they were "defect" why are the mentally handicapped not ragged on the same way those of a different sexual orientation are? Because there is such a large population of bisexual and homosexual people in the world that you can call it normal. Honestly, they're not fucking diseased or anything. Talk to one, unless they have the "flamboyant" trait (For lack of a better term) they will be no different than you or me. The only thing different really is their preference between if they like the same gender or not. What is "normal"? Is it nothing more than a large majority of the people who have similar attributes that can be applied as a whole? If so, then I feel that the homosexual and bisexual community is so large that it can be normal as well. Because in my opinion you can't really define normal in an absolute manner because everyone is different.

The idea that there is a 'flamboyant gay' type that is the source of the major misconceptions held against gays seems to be a giant myth and a misconception in itself. It seems to me like blaming black people who uphold certain negative stereotypes as being the fault for there being racism in the world.

However, more and more I see people who genuinely believe that the stereotype effeminate flamboyant gay is the only kind there is. They do cause problems. Of course, they can't really be held responsible for that, I would say it's more the fault of the media, as that kind of gay seems to be the only kind ever portrayed on TV or in film. I seriously don't understand why gays recieve so much hate. So what if they won't reproduce and like the same gender, the earth is overpopulated enough as is.

Also calling being gay a "mutation" is a pretty meaningless statement. On average, any given human has about a dozen genetic mutations.

I don't have them off-hand (I'll have to go find 'em some time) but I seem to recall various medical studies showing that miss-sized glands are a strong indicator of homosexuality, or otherwise non-heterosexuality. And if you want to buy into it, the [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digit_ratio]digit ratio[/url] concept seems to indicate that there are physical factors integral to determining and predicting sexuality. That's a bit less concrete, I think, but there are still plenty of studies in its favor.
