You're aware that a lisp is generally something you can't get rid of on your own, right?

Can someone explain this to me? I honestly can't see the big deal.
Some people like techno music, others, rock. It's a fucking preference, so I don't see why someone's mentality that has a different preference in terms of sexual orientation is so wrong. If someone like the same gender, big deal. Let them live their damn lives, and stop judging them for fuck's sakes.
The shit heads that say, "They're defected humans." or some shit are wrong. Because what's unnatural about homosexuality or bisexuality? It's not a defect, it's nothing more than a characteristic or a preference.
And even if they were "defect" why are the mentally handicapped not ragged on the same way those of a different sexual orientation are? Because there is such a large population of bisexual and homosexual people in the world that you can call it normal. Honestly, they're not fucking diseased or anything. Talk to one, unless they have the "flamboyant" trait (For lack of a better term) they will be no different than you or me. The only thing different really is their preference between if they like the same gender or not.
What is "normal"? Is it nothing more than a large majority of the people who have similar attributes that can be applied as a whole? If so, then I feel that the homosexual and bisexual community is so large that it can be normal as well. Because in my opinion you can't really define normal in an absolute manner because everyone is different.

Listen to this wise one.

I only take from what I know. And I'm dating a bisexual, she's no different than any other girl you would meet except the fact that she has a slightly difference preference in sexual orientation. And it's okay with me.
As a matter of fact, if you're bisexual you have a much wider range of relationship possibilities. There's a difference between different and wrong. Liking someone of the same gender is different, saying it's wrong is well... Wrong.
The idea that there is a 'flamboyant gay' type that is the source of the major misconceptions held against gays seems to be a giant myth and a misconception in itself. It seems to me like blaming black people who uphold certain negative stereotypes as being the fault for there being racism in the world.

It's just the haters ways of justifying their opinions. They don't have the guts to simply admit that they don't like gays/think it's gross, so they actively search for anything they can use and blame instead.

Great post, sums up everything!

Or, you know, people might just not like the flamboyant personalities of people, and not because of their sexuality.

My sexuality fluctuates between gay and bisexual sometimes.
Oh and when they started morphing into a corrupt militant organization? Ha! That part brought me to tears!
Yeah this is the part that makes flamboyant gays really bad
the part where they're morphing into a corrupt militant organization
wow your analogies are terrible

It would be nice if this were true. However, more and more I see people who genuinely believe that the stereotype effeminate flamboyant gay is the only kind there is. They do cause problems. Of course, they can't really be held responsible for that, I would say it's more the fault of the media, as that kind of gay seems to be the only kind ever portrayed on TV or in film.

I wish I could so easily disregard the opinions of a group of people this way.
Of course I'd still be wrong, but I probably wouldn't be in this thread.
My sexuality fluctuates between gay and bisexual sometimes.
Nothing wrong with that.
There's a difference between being who you are and being overtly proud of who you are - or, even more superficially and to the point, one aspect of who you are. We laugh at Arians, Black Panthers, and similar groups for this very reason. It's also why I can't stand "Bronies", as they are, seemingly, compelled to bring MLP into everything.
Sure, be who you are, but don't push it in the faces of everyone around you.
are you seriously comparing gays to black panthers and arians? those are violent hate groups, not a bunch of "flamboyant" gay people. They are nothing a like.
Nothing wrong with that.
That's great!
That's great!
Quite. (:
@The Kakistocrat: That's exactly it, you have to put it in the right context. You can't compare homosexuality to something that's violent and portrayed in a violent context.
The people saying being gay is mutation, and shoudlnt be treated as humans, are retarded. I have two different coloured eyes (blue and brown) and i was born this way. Becuase i have my different coloured eye does that means i shouldnt be treated as a human?
Gay/lesibian people have no choice, its just the way they are. THEY WERE BORN THAN WAY
Hello, today I am here to discuss the "most awful thing to walk our planet",
the Gays.
What is my opinion on them?
They're humans. They're like us and in my opinion they should be treated as if they were no different. Who they like should not conflict with how you treat them (respect wise, as if you were to treat a gay navy officer the same as a straight navy officer). This debate has been going on in threads like "same-sex marriage", but I think this is more specific on the one homosexuality concept.
I believe we should treat gay's as if nothing were different about them.
Give me your opinion, Facepunch.
(sorry, title mess up, didn't read it. should be "what's wrong with them")
OH FK NO!!!!! GAYS ARE FKED UP!!!!! ANYBODY WHOS GAY CAN GO GET LAID... BY A GIRL!!!!@!@$!@
I seriously don't understand why gays recieve so much hate.
So what if they won't reproduce and like the same gender, the earth is overpopulated enough as is.
I find the "gays hit on me and want to rape me so I hate them" stuff really stupid.
It's just like a woman calling men pigs because she was hit on by a few idiots.
Also calling being gay a "mutation" is a pretty meaningless statement. On average, any given human has about a dozen genetic mutations.
Only something wrong with them if their trying to seduce me, cause that weirds me the fuck out.
Only something wrong with them if their trying to seduce me
How often do you believe this happens?
Happened to me twice when I really think of it.
If they're hitting on you, that's probably a complement.
but still meaningless for this debate other than clarifying the distinction that it's dumb to dislike a group because an individual did something
Only something wrong with them if their trying to seduce me, cause that weirds me the fuck out.
you ever hit on a girl who didn't solicit it
Also calling being gay a "mutation" is a pretty meaningless statement.
It's the belief that sexuality is genetic.
THEY WERE BORN THAN WAY
You don't know that.
But the point is of course that it shouldn't matter anyway if it's a choice or not.
you ever hit on a girl who didn't solicit it
When I pull that trigger I hardly miss.
POW!

Gonna assume yes. If so, any gay person hitting on you is no different.
You don't know that.

Well actually, we sort-of do know that. I don't have them off-hand (I'll have to go find 'em some time) but I seem to recall various medical studies showing that miss-sized glands are a strong indicator of homosexuality, or otherwise non-heterosexuality.
And if you want to buy into it, the digit ratio concept seems to indicate that there are physical factors integral to determining and predicting sexuality. That's a bit less concrete, I think, but there are still plenty of studies in its favor.
