JJ Abrams sucks. So I wont be bothering with it. Cloverfield was a let down and don't even try to say it wasn't. Lost is over-hyped to fuck and JJ Abrams himself is apparently a major dickhead. [editline]04:35PM[/editline] He's the guy who made one okay tv show then made the worst mission impossible movie (yet, hes making MI:4 which is going to be hell for everyone that isn't a retard)
If he made Mi:3 then I dissagree, i believe 2 was worse, or at least just as good. I liked all of them. Lost is over hyped, but it has its ups and downs. I like it but can see why people hate it, i find it ridiculous at times also. Cloverfield was a great new way of doing a survival/horror film. Putting a new twist to the 'Godzilla' style drama showing a POV of the people who matter, instead of the guys with the big guns. Also makes you get more intimate with the characters as your kinda in their shoes. I loved the film, however i did feel that it wasnt worth a second watch, apart from to get all those bits you can miss like how the monster got there and the Lost links. I kinda do want Super 8 to be a sequel, but not at the same time. Maybe be a spin off thing, but explain Cloverfield at the same time.
I hated cloverfield, star trek was amazing though.
Cloverfield 2. Please.
Omfg... I can't wait. I jizzed. :ohdear:
Lost is amazing at being utter, utter garbage.
That's alright. You are entitled to your opinion, even if it's wrong :smug:
I'm calling it now; either a Halo movie, or a movie of Half-Life (which JJ Abrams supposedly loves.) I would put more weight on the Half-Life movie, however.
God, we're all gonna be psyched for it, and find out it's a shit film like Bee Movie 2 or something like that.

And a half-life movie? I really doubt that. The only person who has ever expressed interest in that was Tarintino and that was years ago. I don't recall JJ ever talking about half-life. It's gonna be something cloverfield related.
its godfather part 4
oh its not cloverfield at all: http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=65775
Abrams said, "You have to check [out the trailer]. But it has nothing whatsoever to do with 'Cloverfield,' despite your expert reporting." So what is Super 8 about? "I won't be able to tell you until it's done," he said.
thank god the first one was a great idea, but it sucked
If it's space opera I'm going to scream... ... With joy, there hasn't been a good space opera that doesn't have "Star" in front of it's name for lord knows how long (minus Avatar.)
Viral advertising fucking sucks. "Make video that doesn't mean anything, let people advertise it themselves!"

Well thank god I'm seeing IM2 this friday. I would want it to be Cloverfield 2, but hey almost anything JJ puts out is usually awesome.

I enjoy just about everything from JJ. Lost is GREAT, although this final season seems to be a lot worse, as it's pretty much ending the story. Fringe is amazing, and it's my new favourite show. Cloverfield was definitely good, and worth watching. I was a little disappointed with Star Trek because they veered off the original story line, because it's some alternate universe, but it was good for what it was.
cloverfield had the best viral marketing of anything ever i just remember the feeling back before it was released. it was the most excited i felt for any movie ever, it was an amazing experience. the full movie didn't quite live up, but it was still good.
Fuck you JJ Abrams.
jj abrams is cool
Mission Impossible 3 was excellent, Lost is excellent(well everything before this season atleast), Alias was excellent, and Star Trek was excellent. JJ Abrams haters go home.
I agree with this man. JJ abrams is vastly overrated and he's got an inflated ego according to most reports. Star Trek wasn't that great either, I enjoyed it, but I still fail to see what everyone was raving about.
Star Trek was mediocre at best but Lost is great, and so was cloverfield. Sorry if you dislike JJ Abrams for being a cunt but he has made great work.
I wanted Cloverfield 2 god damnit :(
It better be sci-fi.
ok so I was in the car this morning and I heard this chick on the radio say this: [sp]apparently JJ abram's new movie is not about cloverfield yadda yadda yadda group of boys recording film on a super 8 mm film camera and encounter an alien this actually matches up with what I've heard about Project 8 being akin to close encounters and ET[/sp]
UPDATE: The film will be directed and written by JJ Abrams after all, and is aiming at a summer 2011 release. Steven Spielberg is also on board as a producer. Shooting begins this fall, budget between 45 and 50 million, so it's not gonna be anything huge like star trek. Any information on what exactly its going to be about yet?
Aww, I went to see Iron Man 2 last Sunday.
Any information on what exactly its going to be about yet?
Sounds like there's nothing definite yet, although the article has some guesses and its rumored Area 51 plays a part. Only thing official is that it was inspired by the films JJ grew up on.
I'm thinking either a horror or futuristic Sci-Fi. Along the lines of blade runner or the the Exorcism in terms of genre. Just a thought.
