Sounds like this film is going to delay Star Trek 2. Star Trek 2 had a release date of summer 2012, which this one now has. I'd be surprised if he released two big movies at once in one summer. EDIT: Oh wait never mind, super 8 is summer 2011.
Its not to far from reality if he did. I hope he doesn't though, wouldn't want him to Rush through either to push them out.
nah i read the release date wrong for super 8. it's summer 2011, not 2012.
Oh good we can watch it before the apocalypse.
Dropping by with the trailer.
A monster movie? ... :/ Ehh It doesn't look bad but doesn't look as good as I expected.
Obviously it's about a hotel.
I wonder if he's going to pull a Cloverfield (and most monster movies)and not show the monster properly until the end.
holy shit JJ and Spielberg?

The trailer revealed ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, best trailer EVER!
super 8 sounds like a superhero film
Why, just because it has the word 'super' in it? It's probaby a diversion/ruse
It's to do with some kids seeing the craft on their super 8 camera reel.
JJ Abrams sucks. So I wont be bothering with it. Cloverfield was a let down and don't even try to say it wasn't. Lost is over-hyped to fuck and JJ Abrams himself is apparently a major dickhead. [editline]04:35PM[/editline] He's the guy who made one okay tv show then made the worst mission impossible movie (yet, hes making MI:4 which is going to be hell for everyone that isn't a retard)
Cloverfield was great, LOST is awesome (ignoring the fact that Abrams hasn't even worked on it since the first season), and you're an idiot.
Dammit, not Ohio.
budget between $45 and $50 million, so it's not gonna be anything huge.
With Abrams and Spielberg on board I would have thought they would have a bigger budget than that. Then again Cloverfield only had $25.23 million. [editline]08:23PM[/editline]
The trailer revealed ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, best trailer EVER!
Are you kidding me? It's a teaser.
Saw the trailer during Ironman, and I want to see it. Steven Spielburg. JJ Abrams. Nuff said.
Spielberg? watch out, guys, the monster's going to be one of those Crystal Skull Aliens.
On the official film website, if the flash animation is closely analyzed the letters flashing by on the lens spell "scariestthingieversaw" leading to the web site. The page contains an old computer command line interface that finally leads to what appears to be a countdown that will end on May 13, 2010 at 20:00 PDT. Moving the command line interface to one side, there's a prompt underneath allowing the user to print a document. The printed content says "Stop posting publicly. I can answer your questions. I have proof", followed by four greater-than symbols (>>>>).
http://www.scariestthingieversaw.com/ And it begins.
Aww man. I hoped for a SCP-Foundation themed thingy. But this looks awesome too. :v:
Aww man. I hoped for a SCP-Foundation themed thingy. But this looks awesome too. :v:
To be honest, it still can be SCP Foundation based, since the SCP dealed with dangerous monsters.
Aww man. I hoped for a SCP-Foundation themed thingy. But this looks awesome too. :v:
I was thinking the exact same thing when looking at the trailer.
http://www.scariestthingieversaw.com/ And it begins.
awesome thanks, i'll add it to the op
SCP Foundation would be awesome. I'd like too see what Dr.Bright looks like now. :v:
Saw this trailer before Iron Man. Until the title at the end I thought it was a trailer for another Men In Black movie. [editline]03:34AM[/editline] I'm NOT SURE THAT'S A GOOD SIGN
figures i'd be the one to tell everyone about this, and also be the one whose movie theater fucks up and doesn't play the trailer. fffffuck
I walked in just as the trailer was ending :saddowns:
I saw the beginning and I was like: "SCP MOVIE FUCK YES!!!" then it said Super 8 and I was like sadface. But it still looks pretty good.
There was some guy who recorded it, 2nd page's video was removed Hopefully this works
