JJ Abrams to reveal mystery trailer in front of Iron Man 2 this Friday in USA

Yes, if your read the thread you would know that.
Am I the only one who doesn't want another Cloverfield? It was a great experiment (loved the viral marketing), but made for a lackluster film. Star Trek and Lost are both great though, so I have high hopes for this.

BOY, you betta learn some respect.
Rather odd choices.
Halo is Peter Jacksons project, not JJ Abrams. If there had been any change there we would've heard about it. And a half-life movie? I really doubt that. The only person who has ever expressed interest in that was Tarintino and that was years ago. I don't recall JJ ever talking about half-life.
It's gonna be something cloverfield related.
Actually in the District 9 special features Peter Jackson said that they cancelled production on Halo and decided to use all that mojo to go into District 9 instead.
What does SCP stand for?

Cool, my birthday is on the 13th. I'm suddenly much more interested in this.
SCP Foundation would be awesome.
I'd like too see what Dr.Bright looks like now. :v:
SCP foundation stories are so interesting. A movie wouldn't really work, though. Well, I guess it could. Stuff like SCP-682 and SCP-76-02 would be interesting. Considering there is a dark and light side to the SCP foundation, there would be humor involved at times, but serious stuff mostly.
For once, can he just make a goddamn movie without going through all this gimmicky bullshit? I would respect him SO much more if he would just cut to the chase
There was a supernatural thriller type of thing going on awhile ago with I think JJ Abrams being the producer. And "Super 8" as shown in page 1 is a camera.
Supernatural Thriller + Camera = Fatal Frame?
If so, this is going to be the most badass movie ever. One can only hope.
Edit:
From seeing the trailer on YouTube, I guess this isn't the case. :sigh:

Yeah, this.

Well, I'd just pay to see Gauss rifles and Task Force people.
This might be good, will stay tuned.
I'm a sucker for teasers.
I'll follow them all the way and see them on opening night.
I have yet to do this and be disappointed by the end result.
I know I'm late, but:
JJ Abrams sucks.
So I wont be bothering with it. Cloverfield was a let down and don't even try to say it wasn't. Lost is over-hyped to fuck and JJ Abrams himself is apparently a major dickhead.

He's the guy who made one okay tv show then made the worst mission impossible movie (yet, hes making MI:4 which is going to be hell for everyone that isn't a retard)

Super 8 fansite Super 8 News pointed us in the direction of Unfiction's Super 8 forum, where yet another website (to go along with the previously uncovered www.scariestthingieversaw.com) has been revealed entitled www.rocketpoppeteers.com thanks to a couple of newspaper clippings that were found at the end of the countdown on scariestthingieversaw.com. They were arrived at by typing .PRINT RSCOM8 and hitting "enter" after the 20 lines load up. The only other command that works in the terminal is .REENTER, which prompts you to MOUNT a DEVICE, but it doesn’t appear to go any further at the moment.
The coolest thing about the clippings is that one includes a maze to play with along with a mail-in coupon via which you can pick your own astronaut name. (Click the first image for a bigger version if you want to send in the coupon.) Here's hoping that's a valid PO Box they have listed there; otherwise, someone in Minot, North Dakota, is in for a big surprise when they go pick up their mail in a few days!

The Unfiction folks also suspect something's going to happen tomorrow, May 15th, such as possibly the Rocket Poppeteers site going live thanks to several space-related events that occurred on that date in history, specifically:
May 15, 1958 – The Soviet Union launches Sputnik 3.
May 15, 1960 – The Soviet Union launches Sputnik 4.
May 15, 1963 – Project Mercury: The launch of the final Mercury mission, Mercury-Atlas 9 with astronaut L. Gordon Cooper on board. He becomes the first American to spend more than a day in space.
As some of you may recall, Cooper is known for claiming to have seen UFOs at several times during his career so there's that connection.
Man, some people really do have a lot of time on their hands! God bless 'em, and keep it here for more Super 8 shenanigans as they come!
Someone send in the coupon.
ill try to send it in when i have time
Fucking Abrams, You got me on Cloverfield and you're getting me again!
Another Slusho, eh?

i got a nice letter today saying stuff like "Want to join the fight to protect outer space? want to be a certified Rocket Poppeteers Astronaut like Captian Coop Cooper, blah blah blah"

17 Stars on the page if you count the star with the star challenge wording on it.
forgot to say, was disappointed in how straight forward the trailer was. When those websites kept talking about cloverfield I was expecting something really mysterious, but the trailer told you exactly what the movie was about and really wasn't that out of the ordinary.
Oh well it's still JJ Abrams so I'm looking forward to it.
I found the trailer to be interesting. I too am looking forward to this.
Aside from the fact that theres no fucking way the train would have derailed like that it looks pretty good
I really hope they will make a sequel/prequel to Cloverfield. It has so much potential.

My dad got really pissed at this, and I was like "chill"
If it was a realistic train derailment it would have been a pretty boring trailer.

Real train derailments can be pretty violent...especially if its a army train...this level of bullshittery just instantly made me think of the Final Destination movies and how much of a abomination of reality those are
